Aztech HL117EW is a 500Mbps HomePlug Adapter + 300Mbps
Wireless N Extender 2x2 dual-band (2.4/5 GHz). HL117EW embarks
on a concept of No New Wires data communications, and it
transforms your in-house powerline into a networking infrastructure
and a WLAN connection. It successfully reduce “blind spot”,
increase throughput and increase network coverage within a
home. Surf the Internet and share data at the speed up to
500Mbps Phy rates through powerline, 300Mbps via Wireless, in any
outdoor environment - and rest assured with the best security from
eavesdroppers through encryption on the power circuit and
WLAN.
HL117EW HomePlug engine is a Qualcomm Atheros AR7420
chipset. It features faster processing power, Fast Ethernet host
interfaces and an enhanced analog front end. The solution is
compliance with IEEE1901 and Homeplug AV, hence allowing
hassle free compatibility with existing Homeplug AV devices and
other suppliers of IEEE1901 PLC (Powerline Line Communication)
devices. As for the Wireless, it is using Qualcomm Atheros AR9344
2x2 2.4/5 GHz Wireless N SoC chipset.
Enhanced Quality of Service (QOS) also provides the guaranteed
bandwidth reservations for multimedia payloads including TV over
IP (IPTV), higher data rate broadband sharing, Online-Gaming,
VoIP Calls, extending Wireless LANs coverage, Audio-Video
transmission across the network as well as Network camera
connectivity.
HL117EW provides a simple connect push button for a convenient
way of creating HomePlug network without the need to using the
Device Utility from a computer. The security feature is supported
by 128-bit AES Hardware encryption. As for WLAN security feature,
it is supported by WPA, WPA2, and WAP. Ensuring the network
communications is free from eavesdroppers and hackers.
