Passworddialog,whichopenswhentheproductisaccessedforthersttime.

Topreventnetworkeavesdropping,therootpasswordcanbesetviaanencryptedHTTPSconnection,whichrequiresanHTTPS
certicate.HTTPS(HypertextTransferProtocoloverSSL)isaprotocolusedtoencrypttrafcbetweenwebbrowsersandservers.The
HTTPScerticateensuresencryptedexchangeofinformation.SeeHTTPSonpage49.

Thedefaultadministratorusernamerootispermanentandcannotbedeleted.Ifthepasswordforrootislost,theproductmustbe

Autotracking

TheAxisproductcandetectmovementintheeldofview,forexampleamovingvehicleorperson.Ifautotrackingisenabled,the

themostmovementwillbefollowed.Autotrackingcontinuesuntilthemovingobjectstopsordisappearsfromthemonitoredarea.

WhenEnableE-ipisselected,asittiltsdownandcontinuestopanbackwards,theAxisproductwillautomaticallycorrecttheview
andipit180degrees.Theleftlimitmustbesetto–180degreesandtherightlimitto180degreesfore-iptowork.

Nearfocuslimitisusedtopreventthecamerafromautofocusingonobjectsclosetothecamera.Thisway,thecameracanignore
objectssuchasoverheadwires,streetlights,orothercamerasplacedclosetothecamera.
