INTRODU C T I O N
Many of you will already know the term from the board game “Risk” as that’s where the troops from
America started their invasions.
Kamchatka is a peninsula situated in the Russian Far East. In terms of its area, the peninsula is slightly
bigger than Germany but, in return, it is populated quite sparsely. Kamchatka is situated near two
tectonic plates and therefore shows a rather high volcanic activity. For the most part, the Volcanoes of
Kamchatka are declared a National Park and were recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996.
Volcanoes are the main attractions of the Kamchatka. Images of volcanoes appear on the flag and coat
of arms of Kamchatka and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, and also on most souvenirs manufactured in
Kamchatka. Volcanic activity is one of the reasons why small tremors occurring in the immediate vicinity
of the volcano or on himself. Only in Kamchatka has more than 300 volcanoes. The active and
potentially active volcanoes include from 28 to 36. The largest active volcanoes on the peninsula Shiveluch, Klyuchevskoy, Ichinsky, Koryaksky, Avachinsky, Karymsky and Kronotsky volcano.
The international airport of Kamchatka is called Yelizovo Airport which features a 3400m long runway.
This is enough for an Ilyushin Il-96 or a Boeing 747. Since early 2012 the airport has been undergoing
massive remodeling measures. For example, runway 16R/34L completely reconstructed, is wider and
longer, as well as the construction of new passenger and cargo terminals. All changes in the real airport
will reflectors in the upcoming updates.

INST ALLAT ION
You have to be logged in with administrator rights before you start the installation. After you have
chosen your preferred installation language, the welcome screen appears and with some important
information and the license agreement. Please read it carefully. You will be asked to insert your email
address and the product key. Please insert them exactly the way they were written in the confirmation
mail you received of our online shop. The installation program will attempt to locate the correct path of
Microsoft Flight Simulator. If this path cannot be successfully located, or if you wish to install to another
location, then you will have to enter the correct path for installation manually. In order to do this, click
on “Browse“ and navigate to the correct path. Before the installationprogram starts to copy the files
onto your hard disc, you will be presented with all the installation details. The installation program will
now copy all files onto your hard disc and subsequently register the scenery in the scenery library. A
backup copy of the original Scenery.cfg will also be made.

UNINST A L L T H E SCENERY
To uninstall the scenery, click on the Windows „Start”-button. Then select „Settings” und „control
panel”. Go to „Software” or from Windows Vista and Win7 „Programs“, and double click. You will see a
list with all installed programs. Select the program you want to uninstall and follow the instructions.

RECOM M E N D A T I ONS
For users with RAM of 4 GB or more, we recommend increasing the parameter LOD_RADIUS. To do this
you need to find a file FSX.cfg, he is on the way C:\Users\Your_User\ AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX,
then find the section [TERRAIN ] and LOD_RADIUS option in the file. Depending on the amount of RAM
to increase this parameter. We recommend:
For 4GB: LOD_RADIUS = 6.5
For 8GB: LOD_RADIUS = 7.0 and above.
This will give a better quality with phototerrain and land classes (for example, it will increase the quality
of volcanoes, when you are at the airport). However, remember that the increase of this parameter
leads to longer loading simulator, as well as increased consumption of memory. These values we are
tested on three computer configurations:
LOD_RADIUS = 6.5 on a system with 8GB and installed TrackIR 5 (value of 9.9 led to a memory leak after
40 minutes)
LOD_RADIUS = 8.0 on a system with 8GB
LOD_RADIUS = 9.9 on a system with 16GB
All changes are at your own risk. If you have any problems, return LOD_RADIUS = 4.5
