This document provides information on Aastra’s VentureIP Release 1.3 (Load 2.15.0) which
includes the VentureIP 480i and Gateway products.

2. Hardware Supported
This release of software is compatible with the following Aastra IP portfolio products:
• VentureIP 480i IP Phone
• VentureIP Gateway
3. Upgrade Instructions
IMPORTANT: This release of software requires existing VentureIP systems to be running
Aastra Release 1.2 (Load 2.13.0, Bootloader 2.2.0).
Failure to upgrade the VentureIP system from these loads or higher may result in sets/gateways
being returned for repair via RMA.
Users should upgrade using the AastraVentureIP_UpgradeWizard_2_15_0.exe file included
with the software zip file.

4. New Features Available in this Release
New features
• Integrated access to Web administration system options and e-mail notification of
voicemail.
• No keying or registration is required to get those features to work. They are turned on by
default.

Improved Audio Quality
• Lest audio distortion when two parties (internal with external) speak at the same time.
• This fix diminishes that distortion to a more acceptable level.
