Keys Explanation
Power Key
Press and hold to power on/off your phone,
or turn on or off silent, vibration, flight mode.
Press to switch your phone to Sleep mode.
Press to wake up your phone.
Volume Keys
Press or hold either end of the key to turn the volume up or down.
Back Key
Touch to go to the previous screen.
Home Key
Touch to return to the Home Screen from any
application or screen.
Touch and hold to see recently used
applications.
Menu Key
Touch to get the options for the current screen.

Installing the Battery
Switch off your phone before installing or replacing the battery.
1. Remove the back cover.
2. Insert the battery by aligning the gold
contacts on the battery with the gold contacts in the battery compartment. Gently push down on the battery until it clicks into place.
3. Press the cover gently back into place until

you hear a click.
Installing the SIM Card
Switch off your phone before installing SIM card.
Hold the SIM card with the cut corner oriented as shown and slip it into the card holder.
Installing the microSD Card
The microSD card can be installed and removed while the phone is turned on. Unmount the microSD card before removing it.
Hold your microSD card with the metal contacts facing down and slide it in.
NOTE: microSD logo is a trademark of
the SD Card Association.
Charging the Phone
When you first get your new phone you’ll need to charge the battery.

1. Connect the adapter to the charger jack.
Ensure that the adapter is inserted with the correct orientation. Do not force the connector into the charger jack.
2. Connect the charger to a standard AC wall
outlet.
3. Disconnect the charger when the battery is fully
charged.
Switching Your Phone On/Off
Make sure the battery is charged. Press and hold the Power Key to switch on
your phone.
To switch off, press and hold the Power Key
and touch Power off > OK.
Setting a Screen Lock
You can protect your phone by creating a screen lock. When enabled, you need to draw a pattern or enter a numeric PIN or password to unlock the

phone’s screen and keys.
1. Touch the Home Key > > Settings >
Security > Screen lock.
2. Touch Long press, Pattern, PIN or
Password.
Long press
Touch and hold at the center of the screen, or drag towards any direction to access the application shortcuts.
Pattern
You must draw a pattern to unlock the screen. The first time you set this, a short tutorial about creating an unlock pattern appears. Then you’re prompted to draw and redraw your own pattern.
PIN or Password
Set a numeric PIN or a password that you must enter to unlock your screen.
Switching to Sleep Mode
To save battery power, Sleep Mode suspends
your device to a low-power-consumption state while
the display is off. Your device also goes into Sleep
Mode by itself when the display is automatically
turned off after a certain period of time, which you can set in > Settings > Display > Sleep.
