OPERATING THE SCALE
1. Place the scale on a hard and flat surface for best accuracy. Accuracy may be affected by very soft, deep pile carpet or rugs.
2. Step on and off the scale a few times before attempting to weigh yourself. This will align the internal mechanism.
3. Adjust the pointer to zero, if necessary, using the zero adjust knob at the bottom of the scale. Note: As you use the scale over a period of time you may find that the pointer drifts slightly from zero. The best time to check the zero adjustment is after weighing when you step off the scale, if the pointer does not return exactly to zero, adjust the zero adjust knob.
4. Step on the scale with weight equally distributed on both feet, stand still.
WEIGHING HINTS
1. Weigh yourself at approximately the same time each day. The foods you eat, liquids you drink and your level of activity will cause your weight to vary.
2. For more realistic results, weigh yourself without clothing. The average weight of clothing, including shoes, is about 0.9-2.26 kg for women and 2.26-3.62 kg for men.
MAINTAINING THE SCALE
1. The baked enamel finish, lens and mat can be cleaned with a mild soap and damp soft cloth. DO NOT USE ABRASIVE OR STRONG CHEMICAL CLEANERS.
2. All bearings and working parts are permanently lubricated, DO NOT USE OIL OR LUBRICANTS.
3. If your scale fails to work properly, do not attempt to dismantle it. This will void your warranty. See warranty information for instructions on having your scale serviced.

What does the Warranty Cover?
This Health o meter® Professional scale is warranted from date of purchase against defects of materials or in workmanship for a period of one (1) year. If product fails to function properly, return the product, freight pr epa id and pr oper l y pack ed to Customer Service (see “To Get Warranty Service”, below, for instructions). If the authorized Customer Service provider determines that a defect of material or in workmanship exists, the customer’s sole remedy will be repair or replacement of the scale at no charge. Replacement will be made with a new or remanufactured product or component. If the product is no longer available, replacement may be made with a similar product of equal or greater value. All parts including repaired and replaced parts are covered only for the original warranty period.

Who is Covered?

The original purchaser of the product must have proof of purchase to receive warranty service. Please save your invoice or receipt. Authorized dealers selling Pelstar products do not have the right to alter, or modify or any way change the terms and conditions of this warranty.

What is Excluded?

Your warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the following: negligent use or misuse of the product, use on improper voltage or current, use
contrary to the operating instructions, abuse including tampering, damage in transit, or unauthorized repair or alternations. Further, the warranty does not cover Acts of God, such as fire, flood, hurricanes and tornadoes. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from country to country, state to state, province to province or jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
To get Warranty Service make sure you keep your sales receipt or document showing
proof of purchase. Call the Customer Service Center nearest you for assistance--please see page 1 of this manual. Before returning a product, you must obtain a u th o rization from Customer Servi ce. Customer Service personnel will give you a Service N otif icat ion number.
