possible to achieve a uniform application of paint – and for the
first time, on interior walls too. This universal paint spraying
system was specially developed for emulsions and latex paints,
but it is also very suitable for many other materials.

Whether painting fences, garden gates or garage doors
or applying wood preservatives: the possibilities for use
of the WAGNER spray guns are very wide and varied, but
one thing stays the same: the ease of handling and the
good result. All you need to do is dilute the paint to the
right viscosity. To make sure of the setting, a short trial
spray is recommended – then away you go.

Technically the tops and extremely economical:

WAGNER spray guns are operated by an electric piston
pump, so they need neither a compressor nor any other
accessories. Thanks to the airless atomisation, the
spraying is low mist and environmentally friendly, so
no great amount of masking work is required. Each
spray gun is assembled as a ready-to-spray product,
optimised for the different applications, so you will
always get a perfect result.

based and water diluted varnishes, lacquers, primers
and many others. Application has never been so simple

Simply bring the paint to the right viscosity by correct
dilution and in no time at all you will be painting or
varnishing even corners and angles which a paint brush

FINE OR COARSE

Atomising power and what it
says about the equipment

The atomisation power of manual spray guns and fine
spray systems is an indicator of the quality and possibi­lities for use of the equipment.

Areas of application

Example: Applying paint to a garden fence doesn’t require
such good atomisation as varnishing an antique chest
of drawers. Thus for “coarser” work a unit with a weaker
atomisation performance will give completely satisfactory
results but is less suitable, or not suitable at all, for the
finer application of paints.

If a spray gun, with correctly diluted paint, falls into the
classifications “coarse atomisation” to “no atomisation”
then virtually no objects can be coated to an acceptable
quality with this unit. By the time complete coverage of
the surface is achieved, the film applied is so thick that
it quickly causes the formation of paint runs or “orange
peel” on the coated surface.

Converting electrical power into atomisation performance

A high electrical rating certainly doesn’t mean that a
unit will achieve a good atomisation result: it is not power
consumed which counts, but that which is converted.

How is a spray pattern produced ?

1. Thin the paint to the viscosity (thin/thick fluid) stated by
the manufacturer and put it into the spray gun. Only cor­rectly diluted paints will give the optimal spraying result.

2. On the spray guns with a flow regulator, set the desired
flow rate.

3. Only spray over the gloss painted cardboard once. Spray­ing for longer, until complete coverage of the cardboard
is achieved, will falsify the result.

4. The finished trial spray allows a classification to be given
for the atomisation (see reference spray patterns on page 35).
