STEP 1 Check package contents
Make sure your phone’s packaging includes the following:
Telephone base
Handset
Battery
STEP 3 Battery installation
1. Ali gn the two hol es in the plug with th e socke t pins,
then snap the plug into place. Place the battery in the
compar tment with the wires in the upper right corner.
2. Replace cover by sliding it upwards until it clicks into
place.
STEP 5 Connect to phone line
Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the telephone line
jack at the bottom of the telephone base. Then plug the other
end of the cord into the wall telephone outlet.

STEP 7 Set the clock
1. Press TIME/SET to listen to the current set ting.
2. Press
TIME /SET again to indicate changes needed.
3. Press CHAN GE to change the day, hour, minute, or year.
4. When you hear the cor rect setting, press
advance to the next setting.
NOTE:
If you have caller ID service, the time will automatically
be updated with the firs t incoming ca ll after you
program the year into the system.

STEP 8 Record your outgoing announcement
1. Press SETUP, the system announces “Annou ncement.
Press PLAY or press RECOR D. To conti nue setup, press
SETUP.”
2. Press REC/MEMO and speak toward the MIC to record an
announcement for up to 9 0 seconds.
3. Press
PLAY/STOP / ( when nished recording).

STEP 2 Connect power to telephone base
Plug the power adaptor into an electrical outlet not controlled
by a wall switch, and the connector into the power jack on
bottom of the telephone base.

STEP 4 Charge the battery
1. Place the handset in the telephone base.

• Dial the phone number.

or SPEAKER and listen for dial tone.
