General Description

Digita l Key Telephones

The
(En h an c ed an d Ex e c ut iv e ). These key telephones support hot key
pad for dialin g di git s at any time.
Each telephone isequipped withan Additional Device Port (ADP)
located on the u ndersid e of the phone for user -friendly
co nne ction o f analo g dev ic es (an swe ri ng mac hine s, fa xes ,
modems, cordless telephones, etc.). An analog adapter is
required for this port to be equipped for use as an extension of
the system.
Both telephones are fully equippedfor hands-free, speakerphone
opera ti on. They ha ve a to tal of 28 bu ttons. Ei gh t of t hese b uttons
are for fixed function s. Twenty user-programmable feature
buttons provide dual color LED with pre-assigned default
settings for quickpower up operation. These buttons are
arranged in five rows and four columns. Beginning at the top left
butt on th ey are assi gned the foll owing default values; St at ion
201-272, 301-372 , CO line 700-7 95, HF/Tone and Message

Executive Ke y Telephone
The Executive Key Telephone model has a 2 x 16, 32- character
Super TwistLCD display,with three interactive Soft Buttons to
enhance system features operation.
The Super Twist LCD eliminates the need for contrast adjustment
and e nhances angled viewing position clari ty of displ ayed data. A
visual reference to call progress and call duration, as wel l as ti me
and dateinformation, is displayed. Thedisplay also enables the
Exec utive Key Telephone user to send an d receive visu al adviso ry
and callback messages.

numb ers to d ial access the reso ur ce (station numbering, UCD
Gro up n um ber in g, et c.) .
The [FE AT ] buttonjoined with dialkeycodes will appear
throughout the t ext. This butto n is used to access most system features.
Press the [CLEAR] button to cancelthecurrent operation.
One-Button A cc ess -- Any feat ure or resource code may be
stored for one-button access under an available Programmable
Featur e Butto n.
LCD Prompts -- Operation steps are oriented for the Executive
Key Telephone sincetheinteractive LCD prompts encompassall

Soft Button Di splay -- Three L CD interact ive Soft Bu ttons ar e

These buttons are used during feature operation for
interactive display pro mpt m enus.
For orientation purposes, the Soft Buttons may be referred to
as the left, center and ri ght Soft Buttons.
ProgrammingMode --Systemprogrammingcanbe executed at
any idle Executive Key Tele pho ne . On ly o ne s tati on ma y e nter th e
system programming mode at any time.
Valid program ming i s confi rmed with a single b eep tone
from the speaker.
Invalid programmin g is aler ted with a doub le beep tone.

bksp: When the new programming data entry is not desired, the
station user may press t he backspace [bksp] button to erase the
last data en tered and return to the im mediately prec eding

sav e: When the new data is entered, the system will check the
ent ered data automatic al ly. If t he en try i s invalid, the prompt will
be refreshed. Th e station user must press th e sto re [save] bu tton
to confirmentry and continue with thenext prompt item.
chg : Pr ess th e change [chg] but ton to mo dify the current
prompted item. If the data/message to be changed is generated
by t he system itself, the current program ming item will be
replaced by new data (toggled between YES and NO, or cycled
through several data/messages) when the user presses the [chg]
bu tt on .
next: Repeated depressions of the [next] button will present the
nextselection or the nextprogrammable item within the current
categ ory.
back: Repeated depressions of the [back] button operate
simi larly to t he [next] bu tton w here th e previou s prog ramming
categor y is selec ted, or th e previou s programming item within
the current category is selected.

Description
