LOCKING COVER

FOR COMMERCIAL THERMOSTATS

KEYPAD LOCK

To prevent use of the thermostat buttons after the locking cover has been installed:
Press and hold the MODE button
While holding the MODE button down, press the UP and DOWN arrow buttons
simultaneously.
The LOCKED icon will appear on the display.
The thermostat is unlocked by performing the same procedure as outlined above.

SECURITY LEVELS

On commercial thermostats security levels are a great feature which the locking cover
enhances. The security levels allow limited button function, which is determined by which
security level is set.
Security “Level 0” is no security, however as in Step 1, the buttons can still be
locked with a keypad lockout.
Security “Level 1” allows set point limiting (maximum heating and minimum cooling
temperature setpoints).
Security “Level 2” allows set point limiting (maximum heating and minimum cooling
temperature set points) and locks the thermostat into Program mode. This is
normally used to keep the program running at all times.
Security “Level 3” locks out all the buttons except for the OVERRIDE button.
Security level 3 is normally used so that no changes can be made to the set
points and the program is running at all times. During programmed,
unoccupied periods a press of the Override button will force the thermostat into
Occupied 1 comfort settings, temporarily. With each successive push of the
Override button, the override timer will add 30 minutes, until the maximum of 4
hours is reached. Then the next press will zero out the override timer, returning
to unoccupied if there are no further button presses.
Security levels are set in Advanced Setup. To enter Advanced Setup, push the MODE
and PROGRAM buttons simultaneously. If there is no PROGRAM button press the
MODE and BACKLIGHT buttons. Now press the MODE button repeatedly until “SEC”
appears in the left upper corner, then set the security level using the UP or DOWN arrow
keys. Once the security level is 1, 2, or 3, press the MODE button to advance to the next
step. Use the UP or DOWN arrow key to set the Maximum Heating temperature set
point allowed. Press the MODE button to advance to the next step. Use the UP or
DOWN arrow key to set the Minimum Cooling temperature setpoint allowed. Finally, to
exit Advanced Setup press the PROGRAM or BACKLIGHT buttons once.

Mount thermostat on wall and set desired security levels and/or lock the buttons BEFORE
attaching locking cover.

To attach cover, hook the left edge of the cover under the thermostat, then close the cover
and turn the key lock 90 degrees. The locking cover locks the thermostat door closed and
also locks the thermostat to the wall.
