Vega C-2000-SF User Manual

The C-2000 SF (single Frequency) is a durable attractive designed console. It is used by FEMA emergency operators to make and receive calls through their ring down communications network, it operates in two modes (SF and EMSTEL) with industry standard four-wire SF to E&M facility equipment such as the Westell, Rockwell or equivalent network terminating equipment. The modular and software design allows for ease of installation and use. Simply plug the telephone RJ-45 jack into the back of the unit and connect the power supply, program the desired operational mode and you are ready to accept emergency calls.
The SF mode has priority over the EMSTEL mode if both are enabled. The C2000 SF normal on hook operation generates an idle 2600 Hz signaling tone. After detecting the loss of the 2600Hz tone the unit will produce a ringing signal from the speaker and display “IC” for Incoming Call on the display. When making an outgoing call and removing the handset from the cradle “OC” will be displayed for Outgoing Call. The EMSTEL (emergency medical service telephone) operates in a multi-party four-wire network. In this mode the unit will generate and detect a specific (up to 10 digit) DTMF address and ring for a programmable duration.
