Introduction
Information for these operating instructions
Congratulations on the purchase of your new appliance.
You have clearly decided in favour of a quality product. These operating instructions
are a component of the Laminator ULGD 350 A1 (henceforth designated as the
appliance) and they supply you with important information on the intended use,
safety, installation and connection as well as operation of the appliance.
These operating instructions must be constantly kept available close to the appliance. They are to be read and applied by everyone occupied with operating the
appliance and eliminating any malfunctions it may have.
Retain these operating instructions and pass them on, with the appliance, to any
future owners.

This laminator is intended exclusively for use in domestic households, for the hot
and cold lamination of documents made from paper or cardboard. This appliance
is not intended for commercial or industrial use.
This appliance is not intended for any other use or for uses beyond those mentioned. Claims of any kind for damage resulting from unintended use will not
be accepted. The user alone bears liability.

In this chapter you receive important safety information regarding the handling
of the appliance. This appliance complies with the statutory safety regulations.
Incorrect usage can lead to personal injury and property damage.
Basic Safety Instructions
For safe handling of the appliance observe the following safety information:

Setting up and connecting to the power supply

Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the appliance from transport damage. The packaging
materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness
and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.
The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves on raw material and
reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging material that is
no longer needed as per the regionally established regulations.

Requirements on the installation site
For safe and fl awless operation of the appliance, the installation site must comply
with the following requirements:

Handling and operation
In this chapter you will receive important information about the handling and
operation of the appliance.
Suitable laminating pouches
For hot lamination you can use pouches with a width of up to 230 mm and a
maximum thickness of 125 micron. For cold lamination you can use pouches with
a maximum thickness of 200 microns. Please note that each laminating pouch
may only be used once.

Preparing for hot lamination
♦ Insert the document support into the two openings under the pouch ejector
slot , such that it is seated fi rmly on the appliance.
♦ Insert the plug of the laminator into a mains power socket.
♦ Switch the appliance on by placing the selector switch for hot and cold
lamination
♦ Place the pouch thickness switch
(see also chapter Switching levels).
NOTICE
► The attainment of the operating temperature is indicated by the glowing

Preparing for cold lamination
IMPORTANT
► After hot laminating, allow the laminator to cool down completely before
beginning with cold lamination. Bear in mind, the roller
will still be hot. This could damage the laminating pouch and the document
to be laminated!
♦ If not already done: Insert the document support
under the pouch ejector slot , such that it is seated fi rmly on the appliance.
♦ Insert the plug of the laminator into a mains power socket.
♦ Switch the appliance on by placing the selector switch for hot and cold lami-

Lamination process
♦ Place the pouch centrally between the two A4 markings and with the closed
side towards the pouch slot 6 and on the supporting surface.
♦ Slide the pouch slowly and straightly into the pouch slot

of the housing.
♦ Clean the housing of the appliance only with a lightly moistened cloth and
a mild detergent.

Cleaning the inside of the appliance:
With every lamination, contaminants are deposited on the rollers inside the
laminator. Over time, this reduces the performance of the laminator.
You should therefore clean the rollers inside the laminator after use.

Storage
The appliance has a built-in cable winder on the underside of the housing, on
which you can wrap the power cable when it is not in use. This prevents the
power cable from being pinched, damaged or soiled, and it cannot become
a source of danger by hanging loosely down.

Disposal

Do not dispose of the appliance into the normal household
waste. This product is subject to the provisions of the European
Directive 2002/96/EC-WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment).
Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your com-
munity waste facility. Pay heed to the currently applicable regulations. In case of
doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.

Overheating protection
This appliance is fi tted with an overheating protector. If the motor overheats
due to overloading, the appliance switches itself off automatically. In this case,
disconnect the power cable and wait until the appliance has cooled down to
room temperature. You can then reconnect the power cable with a mains power
socket and take the appliance back into operation. We recommend that you let
the appliance cool down for about 30 minutes after 2 hours of operation.

The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from the date of purchase. The
appliance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined before
delivery.
Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the case of a warranty claim,
please make contact by telephone with our Customer Service Department. Only
in this way can a post-free despatch for your goods be assured.
NOTICE
► The warranty covers only claims for material and manufacturing defects,
This product is for domestic use only and is not intended for commercial use. The
warranty is void in the case of abusive and improper handling, use of force and
internal tampering not carried out by our authorised service branch.
Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this warranty. The warranty
period is not extended by repairs made under the warranty. This applies also to
replaced and repaired parts.
Damages and defects extant at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking, resp. no later than two days after the date of purchase.

Információk a jelen használati útmutatóhoz
Gratulálunk új készüléke megvásárlásához.
Vásárlásával kiváló minőségű termék mellett döntött. A használati útmutató az
ULGD 350 A1 lamináló készülék része (az alábbiakban készülék) és fontos
tudnivalókat tartalmaz a készülék rendeltetésszerű használatára, biztonságára,
csatlakoztatására és kezelésére vonatkozólag.
A használati útmutató mindig legyen a készülék közelében. A készülék kezelésével
és a hibaelhárítással foglalkozó valamennyi személynek el kell olvasnia.
Őrizze meg ezt a használati útmutatót és adja tovább a készülékkel, ha az más
kézbe kerül.

Biztonság
Ebben a fejezetben a készülék kezelésével kapcsolatos fontos biztonsági utasításokat
ismerhet meg. A készülék megfelel az előírt biztonsági utasításoknak. A szakszerűtlen
használat azonban személyi és anyagi kárt is okozhat.
Alapvető biztonsági utasítások
A készülék biztonságos használata érdekében tartsa be az alábbi biztonsági
utasításokat:
■ Használat előtt ellenőrizze a készüléket, hogy nincsen-e rajta szemmel látható

A csomagolás ártalmatlanítása
A csomagolás védi a készüléket a szállítás közben előfordulható károktól. A csomagolóanyagok környezetbarát módon és a hulladékszétválasztás szempontja
szerint kerültek kiválasztásra, ezért újrahasznosíthatóak.
Nyersanyagot takarít meg és csökkenti a hulladékmennyiséget, ha a csomagolást
visszajuttatjuk az anyagkörforgásba. A kiselejtezett csomagolóanyagokat a helyi
érvényes előírásoknak megfelelően helyezze el a hulladékban.

Kezelés és üzemeltetés
Ebben a fejezetben a készülék kezelésére és üzemeltetésére vonatkozó fontos
utasításokat ismerhet meg.
Megfelelő fóliatasakok
Legfeljebb 230 mm széles és 125 mikron vastagságú fóliatasakot használhat
meleglamináláshoz. Hideglamináláshoz legfeljebb 200 mikron vastagságú
fóliatasakot lehet használni. Vegye fi gyelembe, hogy minden fóliatasakot csak
egyszer lehet felhasználni lamináláshoz.

Meleglaminálás előkészítése
♦ Dugja be a dokumentumtámaszt a fóliakiadó rés alatti két nyílásba,
hogy az szorosan illeszkedjen a készülékhez.
♦ Dugja be a laminálógép villásdugóját a hálózati konnektorba.
♦ Kapcsolja be a készüléket: állítsa a meleg- és hideglaminálás választókap-

Hideglaminálás előkészítése

fóliatasakot, vagy hogy a fólia a készülék belsejében megakad.
