cleaning,positionthefeedtableandslideonthesafetyshield.

Nopowerisgettingtothemachine.

Makesurethereispowerattheelectricaloutletbeingused,and
makesurebothendsofthepowercordarefirmlyengaged.
Thelaminatorequippedwiththreefuses,theyarelocatedunderthebottomof
laminator.Pleasecheckthesefuses.

Wrinklingofthefilmaroundthematerialbeinglaminated.

Thisisnormalandinevitableonanylaminator,especiallywith
thickermaterial.Thesewrinkleswillbetrimmedawaywiththescrap,sotheydo
notaffectappearance.Becausetherollersarebeingheldapartbythepaper,they
cannotpullequallyontheplasticaroundthepaper.Thiscreateswrinklesthat
tendtolooklikethebowwavesofaboat,radiatingoutthroughtheclearpartof
thewebfromthesheetofmaterial.

Whentwopiecesofmaterialarelaminatedsidebyside,theplastic

adhesivetoonepiecebutnottheother.

Togetmaximumefficiencyfromthefilmrolls,youcanfeed
severalitemsintothelaminatorsidebyside.However,wrinklingcanoccurif
theseitemsareofunequalthickness,becausethelaminatingrollersareliftedoff
thethinneritemsbythethickeritems.Whenlaminatingitemssidebyside,itis
importanttoarrangethemsothatthethicknessisthesame.

Filmgetswrappedaroundthelaminatingrollerswhilehot

laminating.

Thefilmisthreadedimproperly.Iftheadhesivesidefacetothe

GENERALMAINTENANCE

CLEANINGTHERUBBERROLLERS

1.PresstheSELECTbuttonuntiltheCOLDlampislight,loadthecoldfilm.

2.Settheproperfilmtensionbythetoprolltensionknob,setthespeedatlevel2
or3.

3.Putthedocumentonthefeedtable.PresstheFWDbutton.Thelinerandfilm
willberolledatthesametime.

4.Stopthemachineafterthedocumenttobelaminatedpassthroughtheroller
completely,otherwisetherewillbeanimprintonthedocument.

Donotlaminatethemetalorotherharditemsincasethedamageoftherubber
rollers.

Whilestopthelaminating,liftthetoprubberrollerwiththeknobontheright
sideofthemachine.Donotpresstherubberrollerincasetherubberbecome
stiffandthusshortenitswork-life.

Cleaningthemachinetimelywillhelppreventdirtoradhesivebuild-uponthe
rubberrollersandwillimprovetheperformanceoftheunit.

Duringthenormallamination,excessadhesivesfromthefilmwilloftenclingto
therubberrollers.

Tocleantherubberrollers,lifttherubberroller,removethefilmfromthe
machinefirst,heatupthemachineto30-40.Thewarmrollerenableit
easiertoremovetheadhesivebuilt-upontherollers.Raisethesafetyshield
andtakeoutthefeedtable.Usingaclean,soft,ethanoldampenedcloth,
gentlyrubtheadhesiveofftherollers.

Caution:Theadhesivesidemustfaceawayfromtheroller.

Remind:Thewidthofdocumentshouldbelargerthanthewidthofcold
film.Ifthewidthofdocumentissmallerthanthewidthofcoldfilm,please
putaprotectionpaperunderthedocument(thewidthofpapershouldbe
largerthanthewidthofcoldfilm).Otherwise,gluefromthefilmwillbe
stuckonthefaceofrolleranditcanbeseriouslydamaged.

Caution:Neveruseanyabrasiveorsharpmetalmaterialorrubtoo
hardontheroller,becauseyoumaydamagetherubbersurface.

Step6:Closetherollerswiththeknobontherightsideofthelaminator.Push
theFWDbutton.Thefilmswillbefedintothemachine.Checkthestatusof
lamination.

1.Turnonthemachine,presstheSELECTbuttonuntiltheHOTlampislight,
themachinebeginheating.Setthetemperatureforwhateverfilmisbeingused.

2.Thelaminatorwillbereadytooperationinabout20minutes.

1)Triallamination
Iftherollfilmisthefirsttimetobeused,thetriallaminationisrequiredfor
perfectresult.AftertheREADYlampislight,closetherollerswiththeknob
ontherightsideofthelaminator,pressFWDbutton,letatleast250micoffilm
gothroughtherollersbeforeinsertingtheitemstobelaminated.Examinethe
filmcomingoutthebackofmachine.
Adjustthemachineaccordingtotheaboveinstructionsuntilyouhavethe
perfectlaminationresult.

2)Afterthetriallaminationhasasatisfiedresult,positionthefeedguides
accordingtothewidthoftheitemtobelaminated,enteringtheitemintheweb
offilm.

Stopthemachineaftertheitemtobelaminatedpassthroughtheroller
completely,otherwisetherewillbeanimprintontheitem.

Normally,yourfilmsuppliershouldprovidetheinformationaboutthefilm
applicationtemperaturesandoperatingcharacteristics.Ifyoudonotknowthe
sourceofyourfilm,orifthesuppliercannotprovidetheinformation,pleasetry
thetemperatureandspeeduntilyouhavethebestresult.

HOTLAMINATING

Remember:Thismachinehasautomemoryfunction,thatmeansifyou
workonthesameroll,afterthemachineisswitchon,thetemperatureand
speedwillbesettothesamefigureofthelastoperationbeforeitwasswitch
off.Youcanstartlaminationworkdirectly.

Remind:keepclearandenoughspacebehindthemachine,sothatthe
laminateditemcancomeouteasily,itwillnotwindontotherubberroller.If
themachineisstoppedforalongperiod,setthetemperaturedecreasedby
5-10thiswillprolongthework-lifeofthemachine.

Step8:PushtheFWDbutton.Ifthefilmandthecardareinthenip(thepoint
wherethetopandbottomrollermeet),thefilmandthethreadingcardwillstart
intothelaminatorandwillpassthroughbothsetsofrubberrollers.Whenthe
threadingcardhasclearedthebackofthemachine,presstheSTOPbutton.

Step1:Raisingthesafetyshield.

Removetheactiveboltontheshield,raisethesafetyshield.

Step2:Followthediagramtothreadthefilm

Slidetherollfilmontotherollshaft(followtheaboveinstruction,donotload
thefilminwrongside).Holdtherollfilmonthecoreadapter,thecoreadapter
canholdthecoreoftherollfilm,topreventitrotating.Screwingtheboltonthe
coreadapter.Puttherollsonthebrackets.Makesureitisfullyseated.

Step3:Insertapieceofwidecardboard(guidingpaper)betweentherollers.the
widthofcardboardshouldbelargerthanthewidthofcoldfilm.Pullthefilm
fromthetoprollerpassingoverthetopstabilizerbartothetoproller.

Step4:Putthepaperbackofthecoldfilmtothebobbinattake-upbartorewind
thepaperback.Allowsomeofthecoldfilmwithmeltedresintostickthewide
cardboard(guidingpaper).

Step5:Positionthesafetyshieldforwardtowardtherollerandlocktheactive
bolt.

Caution:Foroperatorsafety,thesafetyshieldmustbeinpositionoverthe
upperheatingrollerwhenthemachineisON,ortheFWDbuttonispressed.

Remark:Themachinewillnotpoweronwithoutthesafetyshieldinthe
properpositions.

removethetopcover,openthewoodencase.LAST,unscrewthefixingbolt
andtakeoutthemachinestand.DONOTloosenthefixingboltbeforeopen
thewoodencase,incasetheinsidemachinestanddropontothemachine
anddamageit.Thesupportingbeamsareinsidethebox.

Slidetherollfilmontotherollshaft(followtheaboveinstruction,donotload
thefilminwrongside).Holdtherollfilmonthecoreadapter,thecoreadapter
canholdthecoreoftherollfilm,topreventitrotating.Screwingtheboltonthe
coreadapter.Puttherollsonthebrackets.Makesureitisfullyseated.

Step7:Makesurethereisstillenoughslackintheweb.Closetherollerswith
theknobontherightsideofthelaminator.Withthefilmdrapedoverthetwo
heatingrollers,andmeltedortapedtogether,pushoneedgeofthethreading
cardbetweentheheatingrollerssothatthefilmisfirmlypositioned.Makesure
therollersareinclosedposition.Ifathreadingcardisnotavailable,anypiece
ofcardstockorposterboardwillwork.

Step4:Withbothrollfilmsthreadedandinstalledintheirrespectivebrackets,
unwindthetopandbottomsupplyrollsabouthalf-turneach.Thiswillprovide
enoughslackinthewebtoallowthefeedtabletoslideoneasily.

Step5:Slidethefeedtableintopositionandlocktheactivebolt.
Step6:Positionthesafetyshieldforwardtowardtherollerandlocktheactive

bolt.

motorisoverload,thecircuitbreakerwilljumpandcutoffthemotorpower.One
minutelater,whentheoverloadisclear,pressthecircuitbreakerbutton,the
motorwillstartagain.
