Sie haben sich damit für ein hochwertiges Produkt entschieden. Die Bedienungsanleitung ist Bestandteil des Universal Akkuladegerätes (nachfolgend als Gerät
oder Produkt bezeichnet). Sie enthält wichtige Hinweise für Sicherheit, Gebrauch
und Entsorgung. Machen Sie sich vor der Benutzung des Produkts mit allen Bedienund Sicherheitshinweisen vertraut. Benutzen Sie das Produkt nur wie beschrieben
und für die angegebenen Einsatzbereiche. Händigen Sie alle Unterlagen bei
Weitergabe des Produkts an Dritte mit aus.

Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Dieses Gerät ist ausschließlich für den nicht gewerblichen Gebrauch zum
− Aufl aden von wiederaufl adbaren Ni-Cd und Ni-MH-Akkus der Größen
AAA/AA/C/D und 9 V-Block mit handelsüblichen Bemessungskapazitäten,
− Aufl aden von schnellladefähigen, sowie nicht schnellladefähigen Akkus
bestimmt.
Eine andere oder darüber hinausgehende Benutzung gilt als nicht bestimmungs-
gemäß. Ansprüche jeglicher Art wegen Schäden aus nicht bestimmungsgemäßer
Verwendung sind ausgeschlossen. Das Risiko trägt allein der Benutzer.

In der vorliegenden Bedienungsanleitung werden folgende Warnhinweise verwendet:

Grundlegende Sicherheitshinweise
Beachten Sie für einen sicheren Umgang mit dem Gerät die folgenden
Sicherheitshinweise:
■ Kontrollieren Sie das Gerät vor der Verwendung auf äußere sichtbare Schäden.
Nehmen Sie ein beschädigtes oder heruntergefallenes Gerät nicht in Betrieb.
■ Bei Beschädigung der Kabel oder Anschlüsse lassen Sie diese von autorisiertem
Fachpersonal oder dem Kundenservice austauschen, um Gefährdungen zu
vermeiden.
■ Dieses Gerät ist nicht dafür bestimmt, durch Personen (einschließlich Kinder)
mit eingeschränkten physischen, sensorischen oder geistigen Fähigkeiten
oder mangels Erfahrung und / oder mangels Wissen benutzt zu werden, es
sei denn, sie werden durch eine für ihre Sicherheit zuständige Person beaufsichtigt oder erhielten von ihr Anweisungen, wie das Gerät zu benutzen ist.

■ Kinder sollten beaufsichtigt werden, um sicherzustellen, dass sie nicht mit
dem Gerät spielen.
■ Eine Reparatur des Gerätes während der Garantiezeit darf nur von einem vom
Hersteller autorisierten Kundendienst vorgenommen werden, sonst besteht bei
nachfolgenden Schäden kein Garantieanspruch mehr.
■ Nehmen Sie keine eigenmächtigen Umbauten oder Veränderungen am
Gerät vor.
■ Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Feuchtigkeit und dem Eindringen von Flüssigkeiten.
Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals unter Wasser, stellen Sie das Gerät nicht in der
Nähe von Wasser auf und stellen Sie keine mit Flüssigkeit gefüllten Gegenstände (z. B. Vasen) auf das Gerät.
■ Das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von off enen Flammen (z.B. Kerzen) betreiben.
■ Vermeiden Sie direkte Sonneneinstrahlung.
■ Laden Sie ausschließlich wiederaufl adbare Akkus der Typen „Ni-Cd“ und
„Ni-MH“.
■ Laden Sie niemals Akkus anderen Typs oder nicht-wiederaufl adbare Batterien
auf. Diese sind nicht zum Aufl aden geeignet. Nicht ladefähige Akkus können
überhitzen und explodieren. Es können das Gerät und die eingelegten Akkus
irreparabel beschädigt werden.
Umgang mit wiederaufl adbaren Batterien (Akkus)
■ Verwenden Sie keine beschädigten oder korrodierten wiederaufl adbaren
Batterien im Gerät.
■ Wiederaufl adbare Batterien (Akkus) können bei Verschlucken lebensge-
fährlich sein. Bewahren Sie deshalb das Gerät und die wiederaufl adbaren
Batterien für Kleinkinder unerreichbar auf!
■ Wurde eine wiederaufl adbare Batterie verschluckt, muss sofort medizinische
Hilfe in Anspruch genommen werden.
■ Sollte eine Batterie ausgelaufen sein, vermeiden Sie auf jeden Fall den
Kontakt der Batteriefl üssigkeit mit der Haut! Die Batteriefl üssigkeit kann
Hautverätzungen verursachen!
■ Entfernen Sie ausgelaufene Batteriefl üssigkeit mit einem trockenen, saugfä-
higem Tuch und vermeiden Sie dabei den Kontakt zur Haut, indem Sie z. B.
Handschuhe benutzen.

Inbetriebnahme
Lieferumfang und Transportinspektion
Das Gerät wird standardmäßig mit folgenden Komponenten geliefert:

▯ Diese Bedienungsanleitung
HINWEIS
Prüfen Sie die Lieferung auf Vollständigkeit und auf sichtbare Schäden.
►
► Bei einer unvollständigen Lieferung oder Schäden infolge mangelhafter
Verpackung oder durch Transport wenden Sie sich an die Service-Hotline
(siehe Kapitel Service).
♦ Entnehmen Sie das Gerät und die Bedienungsanleitung aus dem Karton.
♦ Entfernen Sie sämtliches Verpackungsmaterial.
GEFAHR
Verpackungsmaterialien dürfen nicht zum Spielen verwendet werden.
►
Es besteht Erstickungsgefahr.
Entsorgung der Verpackung
Die Verpackung schützt das Gerät vor Transportschäden. Die Verpackungsmaterialien sind nach umweltverträglichen und entsorgungstechnischen Gesichtspunkten
ausgewählt und deshalb recyclebar.
Die Rückführung der Verpackung in den Materialkreislauf spart Rohstoff e und
verringert das Abfallaufkommen. Entsorgen Sie nicht mehr benötigte Verpackungsmaterialien gemäß den örtlich geltenden Vorschriften.

Heben Sie wenn möglich die Originalverpackung während der Garantiezeit

des Gerätes auf, um das Gerät im Garantiefall ordnungsgemäß verpacken
zu können.

Bedienung und Betrieb
In diesem Kapitel erhalten Sie wichtige Hinweise zur Bedienung und zum Betrieb
des Gerätes.
Akkus aufl aden
♦ Stellen Sie das Gerät auf einem geraden, ebenen und rutschfesten Unter-
grund auf.
♦ Vergleichen Sie die technischen Daten mit denen Ihres Stromnetzbetreibers.
Bei Übereinstimmung schließen Sie das Netzkabel an eine Steckdose an.
Die LEDs leuchten einmal rot und grün auf. Das Akku-Ladegerät ist jetzt
betriebsbereit.
♦ Setzen Sie die Akkus in die Ladeschächte ein. Drücken Sie die Akkus Typ
9 V-Block in die Ladeschächte , bis sie hörbar einrasten.
HINWEIS
Es können individuell 1–6 Akkus geladen werden:
►
- 4 x Typ C oder Typ D in den Ladeschächten 1 bis 4
oder
- 4 x Typ AA oder AAA in den Ladeschächten 1 bis 4 und zusätzlich
2 x Typ 9 V-Block in den Ladeschächten 5 und 6.
♦ Der Ladevorgang beginnt nun. Das Akku-Ladegerät besitzt je eine LED
für jedes Fach im Ladeschacht . Die LEDs der jeweiligen Ladeschächte zeigen den Ladezustand der einzelnen Akkus an.
In den ersten 5 Sekunden führt das Akku-Ladegerät einen Kapazitätsschnelltest
durch:
LED Farbe
Grün > 90 %
Grün blinkend 80 - 90 %
Rot 70 - 80 %
Rot blinkend < 70 %
HINWEIS
Wenn die LED des Ladeschachts länger als 5 Sekunden rot blinkt,
►
ist der Akku nicht richtig in den Ladeschacht eingelegt oder defekt.
♦ Ist die Kapazität der Akkus festgestellt, beginnt der Ladevorgang.

Betriebszustandsanzeigen
Die verschiedenen Anzeigen haben folgende Bedeutungen:
■ Die LED blinkt im Sekundentakt rot und grün (nicht für 9 V-Block): Die Akkus
werden abwechselnd geladen und entladen (Refresh-Funktion: Ältere oder
lange gelagerte Akkus werden wieder aufgefrischt).
■ Die LED blinkt im 1/2 Sekundentakt rot und grün (nicht für 9 V-Block): Die
Akkus werden entladen, um den Memory-Eff ekt zu verringern.
■ Die LED leuchtet durchgehend rot: Die Akkus werden mit dem maximalen
Ladestrom geladen.
■ Die LED leuchtet durchgehend grün: Die Akkus sind vollständig geladen
und das Akku-Ladegerät schaltet auf Erhaltungsladung um.
Berechnung der durchschnittlichen Ladezeit
Abhängig von Typ, Alter und Restladezustand der Akkus dauert der Aufl adevorgang unterschiedlich lange. Die durchschnittlichen Ladezeiten können Sie mit
Hilfe nachstehender Formel berechnen. Beachten Sie jedoch, dass es sich bei
den berechneten Zeiten nur um Richtwerte handelt.

Automatische Ladekontrolle / Erhaltungsladung
Dieses Akku-Ladegerät steuert die Ladezeit für Akkus vom Typ Ni-Cd und Ni-MH
separat. Dieser Steuerung liegt das –Δ U („minus Delta U“) Verfahren zugrunde.
Mit dem Delta Δ bezeichnet man in der Mathematik Diff erenzen. „Minus Delta U“
bedeutet in diesem Fall eine negative Spannungsdiff erenz.
Diese Ladeschlusserkennung macht sich folgenden Eff ekt zu nutze: Wird ein Akku
mit konstantem Strom geladen, steigt seine Spannung immer weiter an. Ist ein
Akku voll, so erreicht seine Spannung jedoch ein Maximum und fällt bei weiterem Stromfl uss wieder leicht ab. Dieser leichte Spannungsabfall wird von der
Ladeelektronik erkannt und der Ladevorgang wird beendet. Das Akku-Ladegerät
schaltet automatisch auf „Erhaltungsladung“. Das heißt, die Akkus werden nicht
mehr mit Dauerstrom, sondern mit kurzen Stromimpulsen geladen. Dadurch wird
der Selbstentladung entgegengewirkt und die Akkus werden in einem vollständigen Ladezustand gehalten.

Timersteuerung
Zusätzlich verfügt das Akku-Ladegerät über eine Timersteuerung, welche nach
15 Stunden automatisch in die Erhaltungsladung wechselt. Dies dient als zusätzlicher Schutz vor Überladung, falls die Ladeschlusserkennung aufgrund eines evtl.
defekten Akkus nicht reagiert.

Reinigung
GEFAHR
Ziehen Sie vor jeder Reinigung den Netzstecker. Es besteht die Gefahr
►
eines elektrischen Schlages!
► Stellen Sie sicher, dass bei der Reinigung keine Feuchtigkeit in das Gerät
eindringt, um eine irreparable Beschädigung des Gerätes zu vermeiden.
ACHTUNG
Verwenden Sie keine aggressiven oder scheuernden Reinigungsmittel, da
►
diese die Gehäuseoberfl äche angreifen können.
♦ Reinigen Sie die Oberfl ächen des Gerätes mit einem weichen, trockenen
Tuch. Benutzen Sie bei hartnäckigen Verschmutzungen ein leicht angefeuchtetes Tuch.
♦ Reinigen Sie das Innere der Ladeschächte keinesfalls feucht. Benutzen
Sie zum Säubern stattdessen einen sauberen, weichen Pinsel.
♦ Reinigen Sie die Ladekontakte bei Verschmutzung mit einem trockenen Tuch.
Lagerung / Entsorgung
Lagerung
Sollten Sie das Gerät längere Zeit nicht benutzen, entnehmen Sie die Akkus und
lagern Sie es an einem sauberen, trockenen Ort ohne direkte Sonneneinstrahlung.
Gerät entsorgen
Werfen Sie das Gerät keinesfalls in den normalen Hausmüll.
Dieses Produkt unterliegt der europäischen Richtlinie 2002/96/ECWEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Entsorgen Sie das Gerät über einen zugelassenen Entsorgungsbetrieb oder über
Ihre kommunale Entsorgungseinrichtung. Beachten Sie die aktuell geltenden
Vorschriften. Setzen Sie sich im Zweifelsfall mit Ihrer Entsorgungseinrichtung in
Verbindung.
Batterien / Akkus entsorgen
Batterien / Akkus dürfen nicht im Hausmüll entsorgt werden. Jeder Verbraucher ist
gesetzlich verpfl ichtet, Batterien / Akkus bei einer Sammelstelle seiner Gemeinde /
seines Stadtteils oder im Handel abzugeben. Diese Verpfl ichtung dient dazu, dass
Batterien / Akkus einer umweltschonenden Entsorgung zugeführt werden können.
Geben Sie Batterien / Akkus nur im entladenen Zustand zurück.

In diesem Kapitel erhalten Sie wichtige Hinweise zur Störungslokalisierung und
Störungsbehebung.
Fehlerursachen und -behebung
Die nachfolgende Tabelle hilft bei der Lokalisierung und Behebung kleinerer
Störungen:

Il contient des remarques importantes concernant la sécurité, l'utilisation et la
mise au rebut. Veuillez vous familiariser avec l'ensemble des consignes d'opération
et de sécurité avant l'usage du produit. N'utilisez le produit que conformément
aux consignes et pour les domaines d'utilisation prévus. En cas de transfert du
produit à un tiers, remettez-lui également tous les documents.

Consignes de sécurité fondamentales
Pour assurer la manipulation de l'appareil en toute sécurité, veuillez respecter les
consignes de sécurité suivantes :
■ Vérifi ez la présence de dommages visibles extérieurs avant l'usage de l'appareil.
Ne mettez pas en service un appareil endommagé ou ayant subi une chute.
■ Faites immédiatement remplacer les câbles ou les raccords endommagés
par une personne compétente autorisée ou par le service après-vente, pour
éviter tout danger.
■ Cet appareil n'est pas prévu pour des personnes (y compris des enfants)
dont les capacités physiques, sensorielles ou mentales ou dont le manque
d'expérience et / ou de connaissances les empêchent d'assurer un usage
sûr des appareils, s'ils n'ont pas été surveillés ou initiés au préalable par la
personne responsable de leur sécurité.

■ Les enfants doivent être surveillés afi n d'éviter qu'ils ne jouent avec l'appareil.
■ Toute réparation de l'appareil au cours de la période sous garantie devra
être exclusivement confi ée à un service après-vente agréé par le fabricant,
sinon tous dommages se produisant ultérieurement ne seront pas couverts
par la garantie.
■ Ne procédez à aucune modifi cation de votre propre chef sur l'appareil.
■ Protégez l'appareil de l'humidité et de la pénétration de liquides. Ne plongez
jamais l'appareil sous l'eau, n'installez pas l'appareil à proximité de l'eau
et ne posez pas d'objets remplis d'un liquide (par ex. vases) sur l'appareil.
■ N'opérez pas l'appareil à proximité de fl ammes nues (par ex. des bougies).
■ Evitez l'exposition directe aux rayons du soleil.
■ Chargez exclusivement des accus rechargeables des types "Ni-Cd" et
"Ni-MH".
■ Ne chargez jamais des accus d'un type diff érent ou des piles non rechar-
geables. Car ces modèles ne sont pas aptes à être rechargés. Des accus
non rechargeables peuvent surchauff er et même exploser. En conséquence,
l'appareil et les accus qui y sont insérés peuvent subir des dommages
irréparables.
Manipulation des piles rechargeables (accus)
■ N'utilisez pas de piles rechargeables endommagées et corrodées rechar-
geables.
■ Les piles rechargeables (accus) peuvent présenter un danger mortel en cas
d'ingestion. Conservez l'appareil et les piles rechargeables hors de portée
des petits enfants !
■ En cas d'ingestion d'une pile rechargeable, il faut immédiatement consulter
un avis médical.
■ En cas de fuite de pile, évitez en tous cas le contact du liquide de pile
avec la peau ! Le liquide de la pile peut entraîner des irritations cutanées !
■ Eliminez le liquide de pile écoulé à l'aide d'un chiff on sec et absorbant et
évitez le contact avec la peau, en utilisant par ex. des gants.

Vérifi ez que la livraison est bien complète et qu'elle ne présente pas de

► En cas de livraison incomplète ou de dégâts résultant d'un emballage non

(voir chapitre Service après-vente).
♦ Prélevez l'appareil et le mode d'emploi du carton.
♦ Retirez tous les matériaux d'emballage.

Les matériaux d'emballage ne sont pas un jouet et ne doivent donc pas

être considérés comme tels. Il y a un risque d'étouff ement.
Recyclage de l'emballage
L'emballage protège l'appareil de tous dommages éventuels au cours du transport.
Les matériaux d'emballage ont été sélectionnés selon des critères de respect de
l'environnement et de recyclage, de sorte qu'ils peuvent être recyclés.
Le retour de l'emballage dans le cycle des matériaux permet d'économiser les
matières premières et réduit la formation de déchets. Recyclez les matériaux d'emballage qui ne sont plus utilisés en conformité avec les règles locales en vigueur.

Fonctionnement et opération
Ce chapitre contient des remarques importantes sur le fonctionnement et l'opération de l'appareil.
Charger les accus
♦ Installez toujours l'appareil sur un support plat, plan et anti-dérapant.
♦ Comparez les caractéristiques techniques à celles de votre opérateur de
réseau électrique. Si les données correspondent, branchez le câble d'alimentation dans une prise secteur. Les LEDs s'allument une fois en rouge
et une fois en vert. Le chargeur d'accus est prêt à l'opération.
♦ Insérez les accus dans les compartiments de recharge . Appuyez les accus
de type bloc 9 V dans les compartiments de recharge , jusqu'à ce qu'ils
s'enclenchent de manière audible.
REMARQUE
1–6 accus peuvent être chargés de manière individuelle :
►
- 4 x type C ou type D dans les compartiments de recharge 1 à 4
ou
- 4 x type AA ou AAA dans les compartiments de recharge
outre 2 x de type bloc 9 V dans les compartiments de recharge 5 et 6.
♦ Le processus de chargement commence à présent. Le chargeur d'accus pos-
sède une LED pour chaque baie dans le compartiment de recharge .

Les diff érentes couleurs ont les signifi cations suivantes :

Calcul du temps de charge moyen
Le processus de chargement des accus affi che une durée plus ou moins longue,
selon le type, l'âge et la charge résiduelle des accus. Vous pouvez calculer le
temps de charge moyens à l'aide de la formule suivante. Veuillez toutefois noter
que les temps calculés sont donnés à titre indicatif.

Contrôle automatique du chargement / charge de maintien
Ce chargeur de piles contrôle séparément le temps de chargement pour les piles
rechargeables du type Ni-Cd et Ni-MH. Ce contrôle repose sur le procédé – Δ U
("minus Delta U"). Le delta Δ caractérise les diff érences en mathématiques.
"Minus Delta U" désigne dans ce cas une diff érence de tension négative.
Cette notifi cation de fi n de chargement est intéressante pour la raison suivante :
si un accu est chargé en courant continu, la tension continue de croître. Lorsqu’un
accu est plein, sa tension atteint toutefois un pic avant de baisser à nouveau
légèrement lorsque le courant continue de passer. Cette légère baisse de tension
est reconnue par l'électronique de chargement et le chargement prend fi n. Le
chargeur d'accus passe automatiquement en mode "Charge de maintien". Cela
signifi e que les accus ne sont plus chargés à l'aide de courant permanent, mais
par de courtes impulsions électriques. Ceci permet d’éviter l'auto-décharge et de
maintenir les accus dans un état de charge intégral.

Commande par temporisation
Le chargeur de piles dispose par ailleurs d'un temporisateur, qui après 15 heures
passe automatiquement en mode de charge de maintien. Ceci procure une
protection supplémentaire à l'encontre d'une surcharge, si la détection de la fi n
de la charge ne réagit pas en raison d'accus évtl. défectueux.

Nettoyage
DANGER
Débranchez la fi che secteur avant chaque nettoyage. Risque d'électrocution !

► Assurez-vous lors du nettoyage qu'aucune humidité ne pénètre dans l'appa-
reil pour éviter tous dommages irréparables sur l'appareil.
ATTENTION
N'utilisez pas de produits de nettoyage agressifs ou abrasifs, car ils

peuvent agresser la surface du boîtier.
♦ Nettoyez les surfaces de l'appareil avec un chiff on doux et sec. En présence
de salissures résistantes, utilisez un chiff on légèrement humide.
♦ Ne procédez en aucun cas au nettoyage humide de l'intérieur des compar-
timents de recharge . Utilisez plutôt un pinceau doux et propre.
♦ S'ils sont sales, nettoyez les contacts de chargement à l'aide d'un chiff on sec.
Entreposage / Mise au rebut
Entreposage
Si vous n'utilisez pas l'appareil pendant une période prolongée, retirez les accus
et entreposez-le dans un endroit propre et sec à l'abri de l'exposition directe au
soleil.
Mise au rebut
L'appareil ne doit jamais être jeté dans la poubelle domestique
normale. Ce produit est assujetti à la directive européenne
2002/96/EC-WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Remettez l'appareil destiné au recyclage à une entreprise spécialisée ou
au centre de recyclage de votre commune. Respectez la réglementation en
vigueur. En cas de doutes, contactez votre organisme de recyclage.
Mettre les piles / accus au rebut
Les piles / accus ne doivent pas être jetés avec les ordures ménagères. Chaque
consommateur est légalement obligé de remettre les piles / accus à un point de
collecte de sa commune / son quartier ou dans le commerce. Cette obligation
a pour objectif d'assurer le traitement écologique des piles et accus. Ne rejetez
que des piles / accus à l'état déchargé.

Esso contiene importanti indicazioni per la sicurezza, l'uso e lo smaltimento.
Prima di utilizzare il prodotto, si familiarizzi con tutte le indicazioni relative ai
comandi e alla sicurezza. Utilizzi il prodotto solo come descritto e per i campi
di impiego indicati. In caso di cessione del prodotto a terzi, consegni anche
tutta la documentazione relativa.

Per l'uso sicuro dell'apparecchio, rispettare le seguenti avvertenze di sicurezza:
■ Controllare l'apparecchio prima dell'uso per rilevare eventuali danni visibili.

■ In caso di danni al cavo o alle connessioni, fare sostituire tali componenti da

bambini) con limitate capacità fi siche, sensoriali o mentali o prive dell'esperienza
e / o della conoscenza necessaria, a meno che tali persone non vengano
sorvegliate da un responsabile per la sicurezza o abbiano ricevuto indicazioni sull'impiego dell'apparecchio.

■ Sorvegliare i bambini per assicurarsi che non giochino con l'apparecchio.
■ La riparazione dell'apparecchio in periodo di garanzia può avere luogo
solo tramite l'assistenza ai clienti autorizzata dal produttore; in caso contrario, in presenza di successivi danni, la garanzia non sarà ritenuta valida.
■ Non eseguire modifi che o riparazioni dell'apparecchio in proprio.
■ Proteggere l'apparecchio dall'umidità e dalla penetrazione di liquidi. Non
immergere mai l'apparecchio in acqua, non collocarlo nelle vicinanze
dell'acqua e non collocare recipienti pieni di liquidi (ad es. vasi) sull'apparecchio.
■ Non azionare l'apparecchio nelle vicinanze di fi amme libere (ad es. candele).
■ Evitare l'esposizione diretta ai raggi solari.
■ Caricate esclusivamente pile ricaricabili al „Ni-Cd“ e al „Ni-MH“.
■ Non caricare mai pile di altro tipo o batterie non ricaricabili. Queste ultime
non sono adatte a essere ricaricate. Le pile non ricaricabili potrebbero surriscaldarsi ed esplodere. L'apparecchio e le pile in esso inserite potrebbero
danneggiarsi irreparabilmente.
Uso delle pile ricaricabili (accumulatori)
■ Non inserire pile ricaricabili danneggiate o corrose nell'apparecchio.
■ Le pile ricaricabili (accumulatori) possono essere letali in caso di ingestione.
Tenere pertanto l'apparecchio e le pile ricaricabili lontano dai bambini
piccoli!
■ In caso di ingestione di una pila ricaricabile, consultare immediatamente
un medico.
■ In caso di pila deteriorata, evitare assolutamente il contatto del liquido in
fuoriuscita con la pelle! Il liquido della pila può causare ustioni alla pelle!
■ Rimuovere il liquido delle pile deteriorate con un panno asciutto e assorbente,
evitando il contatto con la pelle, ad es. tramite l'uso di guanti.

Messa in funzione
Volume della fornitura e ispezione per eventuali danni
da trasporto
La fornitura standard dell'apparecchio comprende i seguenti componenti:

Controllare la completezza e integrità della fornitura in relazione ai danni

visibili.
► In caso di fornitura incompleta o in presenza di danni derivanti da imballag-
gio insuffi ciente o causati dal trasporto, rivolgersi alla Hotline di assistenza
(v. capitolo Assistenza).
♦ Rimuovere l'apparecchio e il manuale di istruzioni dal cartone.
♦ Rimuovere completamente il materiale di imballaggio.

Il materiale di imballaggio non deve essere utilizzato come giocattolo.

Pericolo di soff ocamento.
Smaltimento della confezione
L'imballaggio protegge l'apparecchio dai danni da trasporto. I materiali di imballaggio sono stati selezionati in relazione alla loro ecocompatibilità e alle caratteristiche
di smaltimento, e pertanto sono riciclabili.
Il riciclo dell'imballaggio consente di risparmiare materie prime e riduce la generazione di rifi uti. Smaltire il materiale di imballaggio inutilizzato in conformità alle
norme vigenti localmente.

Comandi e funzionamento
In questo capitolo sono riportate indicazioni importanti relative ai comandi e al
funzionamento dell'apparecchio.
Caricare le pile
♦ Collocare l'apparecchio su una superfi cie stabile, piana e non sdrucciolevole.
♦ Confrontare i dati tecnici con quelli del gestore della rete di alimentazione
elettrica. Solo se i dati coincidono, inserire il cavo di rete in una presa di
corrente. I LED

Spie di indicazione della modalità di esercizio
Le diverse indicazioni luminose hanno i seguenti signifi cati:
■ Il LED lampeggia ogni secondo di luce rossa e luce verde (non per il
blocco da 9 V): le pile vengono alternativamente caricate e scaricate (Funzione
di refresh: le pile vecchie o lasciate inutilizzate a lungo vengono rigenerate).
■ Il LED lampeggia ogni mezzo secondo di luce rossa e luce verde (non per il
blocco da 9 V): Le batterie vengono scaricate per ridurre l'eff etto memoria.
■ Il LED si accende permanentemente di luce rossa: le pile vengono caricate
con la corrente di carica massima.
■ Il LED

Calcolo del tempo di carica medio
Il processo di carica ha una diversa durata a seconda del tipo, dell'età e della
carica residua delle pile. I tempi di carica medi possono essere calcolati con
l'ausilio della seguente formula. Ricordare tuttavia che i tempi calcolati sono
solo valori indicativi.

Corrente di carica dell'apparecchio (mA)
Controllo automatico della carica / Carica di mantenimento
Questo caricabatterie controlla separatamente il tempo di carica per le pile di
tipo Ni-Cd e Ni-MH. Questo comando si basa sul procedimento –Δ U („meno
Delta U“). In matematica, il Delta Δ indica le diff erenze. „Meno Delta U“ signifi ca
in questo caso una diff erenza di tensione negativa.
Questo riconoscimento della conclusione del processo di carica sfrutta il seguente
eff etto: se una pila viene caricata con corrente costante, la sua tensione continua
ad aumentare. Quando la pila è carica, la sua tensione raggiunge un massimo
che poi cala leggermente in caso di ulteriore affl usso di corrente. Questa leggera
caduta di tensione viene rilevata dall'elettronica di caricamento e il procedimento
di carica viene terminato. Il caricabatterie passa automaticamente alla modalità
"Carica di mantenimento“. Ciò signifi ca che le pile non vengono più caricate con
corrente continua ma con brevi impulsi di corrente. In tal modo si contrasta lo
scaricamento e le pile vengono mantenute in uno stato di carica costante.

Il caricabatterie possiede inoltre un controllo timer che passa automaticamente
alla carica di mantenimento dopo 15 ore. Ciò serve inoltre come ulteriore protezione dal sovraccarico, qualora fallisse il riconoscimento del completamento
della carica a causa di un eventuale guasto della pila.

Pulizia
PERICOLO
Prima di pulire l'apparecchio, staccare sempre la spina dalla presa di

corrente. Sussiste il pericolo di scossa elettrica!
► Assicurarsi che durante la pulizia non penetri umidità nell'apparecchio,
per evitarne un irreparabile danneggiamento.
ATTENZIONE
Non utilizzare detergenti aggressivi o abrasivi, poiché essi potrebbero
►
intaccare la superfi cie dell'apparecchio.
♦ Pulire le superfi ci dell'alloggiamento solo con un panno morbido e asciutto.
In caso di sporco ostinato utilizzate un panno leggermente umido.
♦ È assolutamente vietato pulire l'interno delle vani di carica
o altri liquidi. Per pulirle utilizzare invece un pennello pulito e morbido.
♦ In caso di sporco, pulire i contatti di carica con un panno asciutto.
Conservazione / Smaltimento
Conservazione
Se non si utilizzasse l'apparecchio per un periodo di tempo prolungato, estrarre
le pile e conservarlo in un luogo pulito e asciutto, al riparo dall'irradiazione solare
diretta.

Smaltimento dell'apparecchio
Non gettare per alcun motivo l'apparecchio insieme ai normali
rifi uti domestici. Questo prodotto è soggetto alla Direttiva europea 2002/96/EC-RAEE (Rifi uti da Apparecchiature Elettriche ed
Elettroniche).
Smaltire l'apparecchio presso un'azienda autorizzata o presso l'ente comunale
di smaltimento. Rispettare le prescrizioni attualmente in vigore. In caso di dubbi
mettersi in contatto con l'ente di smaltimento competente.
Smaltimento di pile / accumulatori
Pile e / o accumulatori non devono essere smaltiti insieme ai rifi uti domestici.
Ogni utente è obbligato per legge a portare le pile / accumulatori presso un centro di raccolta del proprio comune / quartiere o a restituirle al rivenditore. Questo
obbligo è fi nalizzato allo smaltimento ecologico delle pile e / o degli accumulatori.
Restituire le pile / gli accumulatori solo se scarichi.

Informatie bij deze gebruiksaanwijzing
Gefeliciteerd met de aankoop van uw nieuwe apparaat.
U hebt hiermee gekozen voor een hoogwaardig product. De gebruiksaanwijzing
maakt onderdeel uit van de universele batterijlader (navolgend aangeduid als
apparaat of product). Deze bevat belangrijke aanwijzingen voor veiligheid,
gebruik en afvoeren. Maak uzelf voorafgaand aan het gebruik van het product
vertrouwd met alle bedienings- en veiligheidsvoorschriften. Gebruik het product
uitsluitend op de voorgeschreven wijze en voor de aangegeven doeleinden.
Geef alle documenten mee als u het product doorgeeft aan een derde.
Auteursrecht
Deze documentatie is auteursrechtelijk beschermd. Elke verveelvoudiging resp.
elke herdruk, ook gedeeltelijk, alsmede de weergave van de afbeeldingen, ook
in gewijzigde toestand, is uitsluitend toegestaan met schriftelijke toestemming van

Gebruik in overeenstemming met bestemming
Dit apparaat is uitsluitend voor niet-bedrijfsmatig gebruik voor het
— opladen van herlaadbare Ni-Cd en Ni-MH-accu's van de grootten
AAA/AA/C/D en 9 V-blok met de in de handel te verkrijgen nominale
capaciteiten,
— opladen van snel en niet snel opladende accu’s
bestemd.
Een ander of verdergaand gebruik geldt als niet in overeenstemming met de bestem-
ming. Alle vormen van claims wegens schade door gebruik dat niet volgens de
bestemming is, zijn uitgesloten. Het risico is uitsluitend voor de gebruiker.

Gebruikte waarschuwingen
In de onderhavige gebruiksaanwijzing worden volgende waarschuwingen gebruikt:
GEVAAR
Een waarschuwing op dit niveau van gevaar duidt op een
dreigende gevaarlijke situatie.
Indien de gevaarlijke situatie niet wordt vermeden, kan dit leiden tot de dood
of tot zwaar letsel.
► De aanwijzingen in deze waarschuwing in acht nemen, om levensgevaar
of zwaar letsel van personen te vermijden.
LET OP
Een waarschuwing op dit niveau van gevaar duidt op een
eventuele materiële schade.
Als de gevaarlijke situatie niet wordt vermeden, kan dit materiële schade tot
gevolg hebben.

Veiligheid
In dit hoofdstuk krijgt u belangrijke veiligheidsinstructies voor de omgang met
het apparaat. Dit apparaat voldoet aan de gestelde veiligheidsvoorschriften.
Een verkeerd gebruik kan leiden tot persoonlijk letsel en materiële schade.

Basisveiligheidsvoorschriften
Neem de volgende veiligheidsvoorschriften in acht voor een veilige omgang met
het apparaat:
■ Controleer het apparaat vóór het gebruik op uitwendig zichtbare schade.
Neem een defect apparaat of een apparaat dat gevallen is niet in gebruik.
■ Laat beschadigde snoeren of aansluitingen onmiddellijk door geautoriseerd
en vakkundig personeel of door de klantenservice vervangen om gevaar te
voorkomen.
■ Dit apparaat is niet bedoeld voor gebruik door personen (met inbegrip van
kinderen) met beperkte fysieke, zintuiglijke of geestelijke vermogens of met
gebrek aan ervaring en /of gebrek aan kennis, tenzij ze onder toezicht staan
van een voor hun veiligheid verantwoordelijke persoon of van die persoon
aanwijzingen krijgen voor het gebruik van het apparaat.

■ Bij kinderen is supervisie noodzakelijk om er voor te zorgen dat ze niet met
het apparaat spelen.
■ Een reparatie van het apparaat tijdens de garantieperiode mag alleen
worden uitgevoerd door een klantenservice die door de fabrikant geautoriseerd
is, anders wordt er geen garantie meer gegeven bij schade die nadien
optreedt.
■ Verander of repareer het apparaat nooit zelf.
■ Bescherm het apparaat tegen vocht en het binnendringen van vloeistoff en.
Dompel het apparaat nooit onder water, plaats het apparaat niet in de buurt
van water en zet geen voorwerpen gevuld met water (bijv. vazen) op het
apparaat.
■ Het apparaat niet in de buurt van open vlammen (bijv. kaarsen) gebruiken.
■ Vermijd rechtstreeks zonlicht.
■ Laad uitsluitend oplaadbare accu's van de typen “Ni-Cd” en “Ni-MH” op.
■ Laad nooit accu's van andere typen of niet-oplaadbare batterijen op. Deze
zijn niet geschikt voor opladen. Niet voor opladen geschikte accu's kunnen
oververhit raken en exploderen. Het apparaat en de ingelegde accu's kunnen onherstelbaar beschadigd worden.
Omgang met herlaadbare batterijen (accu's)
■ Gebruik geen beschadigde of gecorrodeerde herlaadbare batterijen in het
apparaat.
■ Herlaadbare batterijen (accu's) kunnen levensgevaarlijk zijn als zij ingeslikt
worden. Bewaar het apparaat zodoende en de herlaadbare batterijen
buiten bereik van kleine kinderen!
■ Als een herlaadbare batterij werd ingeslikt, moet er onmiddellijk medische
hulp worden gezocht.
■ Wanneer een batterij is gaan lekken, vermijd dan in ieder geval contact van
het batterijzuur met de huid! Het batterijzuur kan de huid beschadigen!
■ Verwijder het lekkende batterijzuur met een droge, absorberende doek en
vermijd daarbij ieder contact met de huid, doordat u bijv. handschoenen
draagt.

Ingebruikname
Inhoud van het pakket en inspectie van transport
Het apparaat wordt standaard met volgende componenten geleverd:
▯ Universele batterijlade
▯ Deze gebruiksaanwijzing
OPMERKING
Controleer of de levering compleet is en of er sprake is van zichtbare
►
schade.
► Bij een onvolledige levering of bij beschadigingen door een verkeerde
verpakking of door het transport neemt u contact op met de service-hotline
(zie hoofdstuk Service).
♦ Haal het apparaat en de gebruiksaanwijzing uit de doos.
♦ Verwijder al het verpakkingsmateriaal.
GEVAAR
Verpakkingsmateriaal mag niet als speelgoed worden gebruikt. Er bestaat
►
verstikkingsgevaar.
De verpakking afvoeren
De verpakking beschermt het apparaat tegen transportschade. De verpakkingsmaterialen zijn niet schadelijk voor het milieu en gekozen om afvoertechnische
redenen en daarom recyclebaar.
Het terugvoeren van de verpakking in de materiaalkringloop is een besparing
op grondstoff en en reduceert het ontstaan van afval. Voer verpakkingsmaterialen
die niet meer worden gebruikt af conform de plaatselijke geldende voorschriften.

Indien mogelijk de originele verpakking bewaren gedurende de garantie-

periode van het apparaat, om het apparaat in geval van een garantiekwestie volgens de voorschriften te kunnen verpakken.

Bediening en bedrijf
In dit hoofdstuk krijgt u belangrijke aanwijzingen over de bediening en het
bedrijf van het apparaat.
Accu's opladen
♦ Plaats het apparaat op een egale en hittebestendige ondergrond.
♦ Vergelijk de technische gegevens met die van uw netstroom-exploitant.
In geval van overeenstemming sluit u het netsnoer aan op een stopcontact.
De LED's
voor gebruik.
♦ Zet de accu's in de oplaadvlakken . Druk de accu's van het type 9 V-blok
in de oplaadvlakken , totdat zij hoorbaar vastklikken.
OPMERKING
Er kunnen 1-6 accu's afzonderlijk worden opgeladen:
►
- 4 x type C of type D in de oplaadvakken 1 t/m 4
of
- 4 x type AA of type AAA in de oplaadvlakken
mend 2 x type 9 V-blok in de oplaadvlakken 5 en 6.
♦ Nu begint de oplaadprocedure. De batterijlader heeft een LED voor elk
compartiment in het oplaadvak . De LED's van de oplaadvakken
geven de laadtoestand van de afzonderlijke accu's aan.
Gedurende de eerste 5 seconden voert de batterijlader een capaciteitssneltest uit:
lichten één keer rood en groen op. De batterijlader is nu klaar

Meldingen over de bedrijfstoestand
De verschillende indicaties hebben de volgende betekenissen:
■ De LED knippert om de seconde rood en groen (niet voor 9 V-blok): de accu's
worden afwisselend opgeladen en ontladen (refresh-functie: oudere accu's
of accu's die al lang bewaard werden, worden opgefrist).
■ De LED knippert om de halve seconde rood en groen (niet voor 9 V-blok):
De accu's worden ontladen om het memory-eff ect te verminderen.
■ De LED brandt continu rood: de accu's worden met de maximale oplaad-
stroom opgeladen.
■ De LED brandt continu groen: de accu’s zijn volledig opgeladen en de
batterijlader schakelt over op druppellading.
Berekening van de gemiddelde oplaadtijd
De oplaadduur hangt af van type, ouderdom en restlading van de accu's. De
gemiddelde oplaadtijden kunt u berekenen met behulp van de navolgende tabel.
Let er echter wel op, dat het bij de berekende tijden alleen om richtwaarden gaat.

Oplaadstroom van het apparaat (mA)
Automatische oplaadcontrole / druppelladen
Deze batterijlader regelt de oplaadtijd voor oplaadbare batterijen van het
type Ni-Cd en Ni-MH afzonderlijk. Deze regeling is gebaseerd op het –Δ U
(„minus Delta U”) principe. De delta Δ staat in de wiskunde voor verschillen.
“Minus Delta U” betekent in dit geval een negatief spanningsverschil.
Dit principe wordt benut voor het volgende: Als een accu met een constante
stroom wordt opgeladen, wordt de spanning ervan steeds hoger. Als een
accu vol is, bereikt de spanning een maximum en neemt deze bij een verdere
stroomtoevoer weer iets af. Deze lichte spanningsafname wordt door de oplaadelektronica herkend en het opladen wordt beëindigd. De batterijlader schakelt
automatisch over op “druppelladen”. Dat betekent, dat de accu’s niet langer met
constante stroom worden geladen, maar met korte stroomimpulsen. Zodoende
wordt zelfontlading voorkomen en worden de accu’s in een volledig opgeladen
toestand gehouden.

Timer-besturing
Aanvullend beschikt de batterijlader over een timer-besturing, die na 15 uur
automatisch omschakelt in de druppellading. Dit is bedoeld als extra bescherming
tegen overlading indien de herkenning van het oplaad-einde wegens een eventueel
defecte accu niet reageert.

Er bestaat gevaar voor een elektrische schok!
► Let erop, dat er bij het schoonmaken geen vocht in het apparaat indringt,
om onherstelbare schade aan het apparaat te vermijden.
LET OP
Gebruik geen agressieve of schurende schoonmaakmiddelen, omdat deze
►
het oppervlak van de behuizing kunnen aantasten.
♦ Reinig de oppervlakken van het apparaat met een zachte, droge doek.
Gebruik bij hardnekkige vuilresten een licht bevochtigde doek.
♦ Maak de oplaadvakken van binnen in geen geval nat schoon.
Gebruik in plaats daarvan voor het schoonmaken een schone, zachte kwast.
♦ Reinig de oplaadcontacten in geval van vervuiling met een droge doek.
Opslag / milieurichtlijnen
Opslag
Als u het apparaat langere tijd niet gebruikt, haal dan de accu's eruit en berg
het op een schone, droge plek op waar geen rechtstreeks zonlicht binnenkomt.
Apparaat afdanken
Deponeer het apparaat in geen geval bij het normale huisvuil.
Dit product is onderworpen aan de Europese richtlijn 2002/96/ECWEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Voer het toestel af via een erkend afvalverwerkingsbedrijf of via uw gemeente-
reiniging. Neem de momenteel geldende voorschriften in acht. Neem in geval
van twijfel contact op met uw gemeentereinigingsdienst.
Batterijen / accu's afvoeren
Batterijen / accu's mogen niet met het huishoudelijke afval worden afgevoerd.
Ledere verbruiker is wettelijke verplicht om batterijen / accu's af te geven bij een
inzamelpunt van de gemeente of wijk of in een winkel. Deze verplichting heeft
tot doel batterijen / accu's tot afval te kunnen verwerken op een manier die het
milieu ontlast. Lever batterijen / accu's uitsluiten in ontladen toestand in.

Problemen oplossen

geweld en bij reparaties die niet door ons geautoriseerd servicefi liaal zijn uitgevoerd, vervalt de garantie.Uw wettelijke rechten worden door deze garantie niet
ingeperkt. De garantieperiode wordt niet verlengd door de aansprakelijkheid. Dit
geldt eveneens voor vervangen en gerepareerde onderdelen. Eventuele schaden
en gebreken die reeds bij de koop aanwezig zijn moeten direct na het uitpakken

Information regarding these operating instructions
Congratulations on the purchase of your new device.
You have clearly decided in favour of a quality product. These operating instructions
are a component of Universal Battery Charger (hereafter referred to as the device
or product). They contain important information in regard to safety, use and disposal.
Before using the product, familiarise yourself with all of these operating and safety
instructions. Use the product only as described and only for the specifi ed areas of
application. In addition, pass these documents on, together with the product, to
any future owner.

This device is intended exclusively for non-commercial use in the
— charging of rechargeable Ni-Cd and Ni-MH batteries with the sizes
AAA/AA/C/D and 9 V Block with standard rated capacities,
— charging of fast rechargeable, as well as not-fast rechargeable batteries
only.
Any other use or uses beyond those mentioned are considered to be unintended
use. Claims of any kind for damage resulting from unintended use will not be
accepted. The operator alone bears the liability.

Basic Safety Instructions
For safe handling of the device observe the following safety instructions:
■ Before use check the device for visible external damage. Do not put into
operation a device that is damaged or has been dropped.
■ To avoid possible risks, arrange for damaged cables or connectors to be
exchanged by an authorised specialist or the Customer Service Department.
■ This appliance is not intended for use by individuals (including children) with
restricted physical, sensory or intellectual abilities or defi ciences in experience
and / or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their
safety or receive from this person instruction in how the appliance is to be used.

■ Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
device.
■ A repair to the device during the warranty period may only be carried
out by a customer service department authorised by the manufacturer,
if it is not, additional warranty claims cannot be considered for subse
quent defects.
■ Do not make any changes or modifi cations to the appliance yourself.
■ Protect the device from moisture and liquid penetration. Never submerge
the device in water, do not place the device in the vicinity of water and
do not stand any object fi lled with liquid (i.e. vases) on the device.
■ Do not operate the device in the vicinity of open fl ames (e.g. candles).
■ Avoid direct sunlight.
■ Charge exclusively rechargeable batteries of the types "Ni-Cd“ and
"Ni-MH".
■ NEVER recharge batteries of other types or non-rechargeable batteries.
These are not suitable for recharging. Batteries not suitable for recharging
can overheat and explode. It could irreparably damage the device and
the inserted batteries.
Interaction with rechargeable batteries (cells)
■ Do not use damaged or corroded rechargeable batteries in the device.
■ Rechargeable batteries (cells) can be fatal if swallowed. Therefore,
always keep the device and the rechargeable batteries out of the reach
of children!
■ If a rechargeable battery is swallowed medical assistance must be sought
IMMEDIATELY.
■ Should a battery have leaked, you must avoid contact by the battery fl uid
with the skin! The battery liquid can cause acid burns on the skin!
■ Remove the leaked battery liquid with a dry, absorbent cloth and avoid
contact by it with the skin by wearing, for example, a pair of gloves.

Initial use

The device is delivered with the following components as standard:

Check the contents to make sure everything is there and for visible damage.

► If the items supplied are incomplete, or damaged due to defective packaging
or transportation, contact the Service Hotline (see section Service).
♦ Remove the device and the operating instructions from the carton.
♦ Remove all packing material.

Packaging material should not be used as a play thing.

Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the device from transport damage. The packaging
materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness
and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.
The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves on raw material
and reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging material
that is no longer needed as per the regionally established regulations.
NOTICE
If possible preserve the device's original packaging during the warranty

period so that, in the event of a warranty claim, you can package the
device ideally for its return.

Handling and operation
In this chapter you will receive important information for the handling and operation of the device.
Charging batteries
♦ Place the device on a smooth, level and slip resistant surface.
♦ Compare the technical details with those of your power supplier. If they
match, insert the plug into a mains power socket. The LEDs
green once. The battery charger is now ready for use.
♦ Insert the batteries into the loading slots . Press the 9 V Block batteries
into the loading slot until they audibly engage.

1 to 6 batteries can be individually charged:

- 4 x Type C or Type D in the loading slots 1 to 4
or
- 4 x Type AA or AAA in the loading slots 1 to 4 and additionally
2 x Type 9 Volt Block batteries in the loading slots 5 and 6.
♦ The charging process now begins. The battery charger has an LED for
each compartment in the loading slot . The LEDs of the respective

During the fi rst 5 seconds the battery charger carries out a capacity test:

Operating status displays
The various displays have the following meanings:

Depending on the type, age and remaining charge in the batteries, the charging
process can take various lengths of time. The average charge time can be calculated using the following formula. Take note however that the times given are

Automatic charging control / Retention charging
This battery charger controls the charging time for batteries of the types Ni-Cd
and Ni-MH separately. This control is based on the –Δ U ("minus Delta U")
calculation. In mathematics, with Delta Δ diff erences are indicated. In this case,
"Minus Delta U" means a negative voltage diff erence.
This charge identifi cation makes itself useful in the following eff ects: Should a
battery be charged with a constant current, its voltage rises continuously. When
a battery is full, its voltage reaches a maximum but falls again slightly with further
current fl ow. This light fall in voltage is recognised by the charging electronics and
the charge process is terminated. The battery charger automatically switches to
"Retention charging". This means that the batteries are no longer being loaded
with constant current, instead, with short current pulses. This counteracts the selfdischarge and the batteries are kept in a state of full charge.
Timer control
In addition, this battery charger has a timer control which automatically switches
over to retention charging after 15 hours. This serves as an additional protection
against overcharging should the charge termination not respond due to a possibly
defective battery.

Cleaning
DANGER
Always remove the plug before cleaning the device. There is the risk of an

electric shock!
► When you are cleaning the device ensure that no moisture gets inside it, so
as to avoid irreparable damage to it.
IMPORTANT
Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents, as these can damage
►
the upper surfaces.
♦ Clean the surfaces of the device with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn soiling
use a lightly moistened cloth.
♦ Never clean the insides of the loading slots with moist cloths. Instead,
use a clean soft brush to clean them.
♦ If soiled, clean the charging contacts with a dry cloth.
Storage / Disposal
Storage
If you do not intend to use the device for a longer time, remove the batteries and
store it in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Disposal of the device
Do not dispose of the device in your normal domestic waste.
This product is subject to the provisions of the European Directive
2002/96/EC-WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Dispose of the device through an approved disposal centre or at your community
waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt,
please contact your waste disposal centre.
Disposal of batteries / cells
Used batteries / cells may not be disposed of in household waste. All consumers
are statutorily obliged to dispose of batteries at a collection site of his community /
city district or at a retail store. The purpose of this obligation is to ensure that
batteries are disposed of in a non-polluting manner. Only dispose of batteries /
cells when they are fully discharged.

Troubleshooting
In this section you will receive important information for the localisation and
remedying of malfunctions.
