Información sobre estas instrucciones de uso
Le deseamos mucha suerte con su nuevo aparato.
Con esta compra ha adquirido un producto de alta calidad. Las instrucciones
de uso son parte integrante del cargador universal de pilas recargables (en lo
sucesivo denominado aparato o producto) y contienen información importante
sobre la seguridad, el uso y la eliminación. Antes de utilizar el producto, familiarícese con todas las indicaciones de manejo y seguridad. Utilice este producto
solo como se describe y para los ámbitos de aplicación indicados. En caso de
traspasar el producto a terceros, entregue también todas las documentaciones.

Uso conforme al previsto
Este aparato ha sido diseñado únicamente para el uso no comercial destinado
− a la carga de pilas recargables Ni-Cd y Ni-MH del tamaño AAA/AA/C/D
y de bloque de 9 V con capacidades de dimensionamiento
de uso comercial convencionales,
− a la carga de pilas recargables de capacidad de carga rápida y no
rápida.
Cualquier uso diferente o que supere lo indicado se considera contrario a lo
dispuesto. Se excluyen reclamaciones de cualquier tipo debido a daños por el
uso contrario a lo dispuesto. El riesgo será responsabilidad exclusiva del usuario.

Indicaciones de advertencia utilizadas
En estas instrucciones de uso se utilizan las advertencias siguientes:
PELIGRO
Una advertencia de este nivel de peligro indica una posible
situación de peligro.
Si no puede evitarse la situación de peligro, pueden producirse lesiones
graves o incluso la muerte.

Seguridad
En este capítulo obtendrá indicaciones de seguridad importantes para manejar
el aparato. Este aparato cumple las normas de seguridad prescritas. En cambio
el uso inadecuado puede causar daños personales y materiales.

Advertencias de seguridad básicas
Para manejar con seguridad el aparato deben tenerse en cuenta las indicaciones
de seguridad siguientes:
■ Antes de usar el aparato, compruebe si hay signos de daños externos visibles.
No ponga en servicio un aparato dañado o que haya caído.
■ Si se daña el cable o las conexiones, haga que los cambie personal espe-
cializado o el servicio al cliente. con el fi n de evitar riesgos.
■ No permita utilizar el aparato a personas (incluidos los niños) cuyas facultades
físicas, sensoriales o mentales, así como su falta de conocimiento y / o de
experiencia, les impida hacer un uso seguro del mismo si no están bajo
vigilancia o han sido instruidos correctamente acerca del uso del aparato.

■ Vigile a los niños para asegurarse de que no juegan con el aparato.
■ La reparación del aparato durante el periodo de garantía debe ser realizada
exclusivamente por un servicio al cliente autorizado por el fabricante, de
lo contrario, los posibles daños posteriores no estarán cubiertos por la
garantía.
■ No realice transformaciones o modifi caciones en el aparato por cuenta
propia.
■ Proteja el aparato de la humedad y contra la entrada de líquidos. No sumerja
nunca el aparato en agua, no coloque el aparato próximo al agua ni
coloque ningún objeto relleno de líquido (p. ej. jarrones) sobre el aparato.
■ No utilizar el aparato cerca de llamas abiertas (p. ej. velas).
■ Evite la radiación solar directa.
■ Cargue exclusivamente pilas recargables de los tipos "Ni-Cd" y "Ni-MH".
■ No cargue nunca baterías de otro tipo o pilas que no sean recargables.
Estas no son aptas para recargar. Las pilas no recargables pueden recalentarse y explotar. De lo contrario se podría dañar el aparato las pilas
recargables insertadas de modo irreparable.
Tratamiento de pilas recargables (baterías)
■ No utilice pilas recargables dañadas o corrosivas.
■ Las pilas recargables (baterías) pueden ser mortales al ingerirlas. Por ello
guarde el aparato y las pilas recargables fuera del alcance de los niños
pequeños.
■ En caso de ingestión de una pila recargable acuda inmediatamente a un
médico.
■ Si se ha derramado una pila recargable, evite de todos modos el contacto
del líquido de la batería con la piel. El líquido de la batería podría producir
abrasiones de la piel
■ Elimine el líquido de la batería derramada con un paño seco absorbente
y evite el contacto con la piel, utilizando p. ej., guantes.

Puesta en funcionamiento
Volumen de suministro e inspección de transporte
El aparato se suministra de serie con los componentes siguientes:
▯ Cargador universal de pilas
▯ Estas instrucciones de servicio
NOTA
Compruebe la integridad de suministro y si hay daños visibles.
►
► Si el suministro es incompleto o hay daños debido a un embalaje defi ciente
o al transporte, póngase en contacto con la línea directa de asistencia
(véase el apartado Asistencia técnica).
♦ Extraiga el aparato y el manual de instrucciones de la caja.
♦ Retire todo el material de embalaje.
PELIGRO
Los materiales de embalaje no deben usarse para jugar.
►
Existe peligro de asfi xia.
Evacuación del embalaje
El embalaje protege el aparato durante el transporte. El material de embalaje se
ha seleccionado teniendo en cuenta criterios ecológicos y de técnica de eliminación y por ello es reciclable.
La reintroducción del embalaje en el ciclo de materiales ahorra materias primas
y reduce el volumen de residuos. Evacue los materiales de embalaje que no
sean necesarios según las normativas locales aplicables.

Si es posible, conserve el embalaje original durante el periodo de garantía

del aparato para poder empaquetarlo correctamente en caso de aplicación de la garantía.

Manejo y funcionamiento
En este capítulo se proporcionan indicaciones importantes para el funcionamiento
del aparato.
Cargar las baterías
♦ Coloque el aparato sobre una base recta, plana y antideslizante.
♦ Compare las características técnicas con las de su suministrador de energía
eléctrica. Si concuerda conecte el cable de red a una base de enchufe.
Los LED se iluminan una vez en rojo y en verde alternativamente. El cargador de batería está ahora listo para funcionar.
♦ Inserte las pilas recargables en los alojamientos del cargador . Presione
las pilas recargables del tipo bloque 9 V en los alojamientos de carga ,
hasta escuchar como encastran.
NOTA
Se pueden cargar individualmente de 1–6 baterías:
►
► - 4 x tipo C o bien tipo D en los alojamientos de carga 1 hasta 4
o bien
- 4 x tipo AA o bien AAA en los alojamientos de carga
adicionalmente 2 x Tipo bloque 9 V en los alojamientos de carga
♦ Comenzando el proceso de carga. El cargador de baterías dispone de un
para cada alojamiento dentro del alojamiento de carga

de carga de cada una de las pilas recargables.
En los primeros 5 segundos el cargador de pilas recargables realiza una prueba
rápida de capacidad:

♦ Una vez determinada la capacidad de la pila recargable se inicia el
proceso de carga.

Indicaciones del estado operativo
Las diferentes indicaciones tienen los signifi cados siguientes:
■ El LED parpadea en cadencia de segundos rojo y verde (no en caso del
bloque de 9V): Las pilas recargables se cargan y se descargan de modo
alternado (Función refresh: las pilas recargables más antiguas o almacenadas
durante mucho tiempo son refrescadas).
■ El LED parpadea en cadencia de 1/2 segundos rojo y verde (no en caso
del bloque de 9V): Las pilas recargables son descargadas para reducir así
el efecto memoria.
■ Los LED se iluminan en rojo de modo permanente: Las pilas recargables
son cargadas con corriente de carga máxima
■ Los LED se iluminan en verde de modo permanente: Las pilas son carga-
das por completo y el cargado de pilas conmuta a carga de mantenimiento.
Cálculo del tiempo de carga de promedio
Dependiendo del tipo, antigüedad y estado de carga remanente de las pilas recargables, el proceso de carga puede variar. Los tiempos de carga de promedio
pueden calcularse con la ayuda de la formula siguiente. Tenga en cuenta que
los tiempos calculados son meramente orientativos.

Control de carga automático / carga de mantenimiento
Este cargador de pilas controla el tiempo de pilas recargables del tipo Ni-Cd
y NI-MH por separado. El control se basa en el procedimiento –Δ U ("menos
Delta U"). Con Delta Δ se defi ne en matemáticas las diferencias. "Menos Delta U"
signifi ca en todo caso una diferencia de tensión negativa.
Esta detección de fi n de proceso de carga aprovecha los efectos siguientes: Si se
carga una batería con una corriente constante, la tensión va aumentando. Si la batería esta plenamente cargada, su tensión alcanza el máximo y vuelve a descender
ligeramente si continua el fl ujo de corriente. Esta pequeña caída de tensión es
detectada por la electrónica de carga y fi naliza el proceso de carga El cargador
de baterías conmuta automáticamente a "carga de mantenimiento". Signifi ca
que las pilas recargables ya no están sometidas a una corriente permanente
sino que continúan con una carga de impulsos cortos de corriente. De este
modo se contrarresta la autodescarga y las pilas recargables se mantienen a
pleno estado de carga.

Control de temporizador
El cargador dispone además de un control de temporizador que cambia transcurridas 15 horas automáticamente al modo de carga de mantenimiento. Sirve
además como protección contra sobrecarga en caso de que no reaccione la
detección de cortocircuito de carga en caso de una eventual batería defectuosa.

Limpieza
PELIGRO
Antes de proceder a cualquier limpieza extraiga la clavija de red.
►
¡Existe riesgo de descarga eléctrica!
► Asegúrese que durante la limpieza no penetre humedad en el aparato,
con el fi n de evitar daños irreparables del aparato.
ATENCIÓN
No utilice ningún producto de limpieza agresivo o abrasivo ya que podrían
►
atacar la superfi cie del aparato.
♦ Limpie las superfi cies del aparato con un paño seco blando. En caso de
suciedad persistente utilice un paño ligeramente húmedo.
♦ En ningún caso deberá limpiar el interior de los alojamientos de carga en
húmedo. Utilice en cambio para la limpieza un pincel limpio y blando.
♦ Limpie los contactos de carga en caso de suciedad con un paño seco.
Almacenamiento / Evacuación
Almacenamiento
Si no va a usar el aparato durante un tiempo prolongado, extraiga las pilas
recargables y almacénelas en un lugar limpio, seco sin radiación solar directa.
Evacuación del aparato
No tire el aparato en la basura doméstica normal. Este producto
está sujeto a la directiva europea 2002/96/EC-WEEE (Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Elimine el aparato en un centro de evacuación autorizado a través de las instalaciones de evacuación comunitarias. Tenga en cuenta las normativas actuales en
vigor. En caso de dudas póngase en contacto con su centro de evacuación.
Eliminación de las pilas / baterías
Las pilas / baterías no pueden ser desechadas con la basura doméstica. Cada
consumidor está obligado legalmente a entregar las pilas / baterías en un punto
de recogida de residuos de su municipio, barrio o en un establecimiento. Con
esta obligación se consigue que las pilas / baterías se desechen de forma respetuosa con el medio ambiente. Devuelva las pilas / acumuladores vacías.

Eliminación de fallos
En este capítulo se proporcionan indicaciones importantes para la localización y
solución de averías.
Causas y solución de fallos
La tabla siguiente ayuda a la localización y solución de averías menores:

a su polaridad (véase la señalización
en el alojamiento de carga ).
Cargue exclusivamente pilas recargables Ni-Cd- y Ni-MH de los tipos
AAA/AA/C/D y bloque de 9 V.
Extraiga la clavija de red de la base
de enchufe y deje que se enfrié el
aparato.

Indicaciones sobre la declaración de conformidad CE
Este aparato cumple los requisitos básicos y las demás
normas relevantes de la directiva de compatibilidad electromagnética 2004/108/EC así como con la directiva de baja
tensión 2006/95/EC.
La declaración de conformidad original completa la puede
solicitar a la empresa de importación.

sido fabricado cuidadosamente y ha sido probado antes de su entrega. Guarde
el comprobante de caja como justifi cante de compra. Si necesitara hacer uso de
la garantía, póngase en contacto por teléfono con su punto de servicio habitual.
Éste es el único modo de garantizar un envío gratuito.

La garantía cubre los defectos de fabricación o del material, pero no los

daños de transporte, las piezas sujetas a desgaste y los daños sufridos por
las piezas frágiles (p. ej. el interruptor o las pilas).
Este producto ha sido diseñado exclusivamente para el uso particular y no para
el uso industrial. En caso de un tratamiento inadecuado e indebido, uso de la
fuerza bruta e intervenciones por asistencia técnica distinta a la autorizada por
nosotros, se extinguirá la garantía. Esta garantía no reduce en forma alguna
sus derechos legales. El plazo de garantía no es prorrogable. Tampoco lo es
el plazo para piezas sustituidas o reparadas. Las defi ciencias o desperfectos
detectados en el momento de la compra, deberán notifi carse inmediatamente
después de desempaquetar el producto, o a más tardar, dos días después de la
fecha de compra. Una vez que expire el plazo de garantía, deberán abonarse
los gastos de reparación.

Manuseamento das pilhas recarregáveis (bateria)
■ Não utilize baterias danifi cadas ou corroídas no aparelho.
■ A ingestão de pilhas recarregáveis (bateria) pode causar a morte.
Mantenha, por isso o aparelho e as pilhas recarregáveis fora do alcance
das crianças pequenas!
■ Se uma pilha recarregável for ingerida, procure imediatamente assistência
médica.
■ Se uma pilha tiver uma fuga, evite sempre o contacto entre o líquido da
bateria e a pele! O líquido da bateria provoca queimaduras de pele!
■ Remova o líquido da bateria derramado com um pano seco e absorvente
e evite o contacto com a pele utilizando, por exemplo, luvas.

Colocação em funcionamento
Material fornecido e inspecção de transporte
Por norma, o aparelho é fornecido com os seguintes componentes:

NOTA
Verifi que se o material fornecido está completo e se apresenta danos

visíveis.
► Caso o material fornecido esteja incompleto ou danifi cado, devido a
embalagem insufi ciente ou ao transporte, entre em contacto com a
linha directa de assistência (ver capítulo Assistência).
♦ Retire o aparelho e o manual de instruções da embalagem.
♦ Retire todo o material de embalagem.

Os materiais da embalagem não devem ser utilizados como brinquedos.

Eliminação da embalagem
A embalagem protege o aparelho de danos durante o transporte. Os materiais
da embalagem devem ser seleccionados numa perspectiva ecológica e de
poupança energética e, como tal, reciclados.
A reciclagem da embalagem permite a poupança de matérias-primas e reduz a
formação de lixo. Elimine os materiais de embalagem que já não são necessários
em conformidade com as normas locais em vigor.

Operação e funcionamento
Este capítulo contém indicações importantes acerca da operação e funcionamento do aparelho.

Carregar a bateria
♦ Coloque o aparelho numa superfície plana, fi xa e antiderrapante.
♦ Compare os dados técnicos com os do seu operador da rede eléctrica. Se
forem idênticos, ligue o cabo de rede a uma tomada. Os LED
uma vez a vermelho e a verde. O carregador de bateria encontra-se agora
operacional.
♦ Insira a bateria nos compartimentos de carregamento . Empurre a bateria
tipo 9 V nos compartimentos de carregamento até encaixar de forma
audível.
NOTA
Podem ser carregadas individualmente as baterias 1–6:
►
► - 4 x Tipo C ou Tipo D nos compartimentos de carregamento 1 até 4
ou
- 4 x Tipo AA ou AAA nos compartimentos de carregamento 1 até 4
e ainda 2 x Tipo 9 V nos compartimentos de carregamento 5 e 6.
♦ O processo de carregamento inicia. O carregador de bateria dispõe de
um LED para cada secção no compartimento de carregamento

Apresentação do estado da operação
As várias apresentações têm os seguintes signifi cados:
■ O LED pisca a vermelho e verde em intervalos de segundo (não no 9 V):
As baterias são carregadas e descarregadas alternadamente (Função actualizar:
as baterias mais antigas ou armazenadas muito tempo são actualizadas de novo).
■ O LED pisca a vermelho e verde em intervalos de 1/2 segundo (não
para 9 V): As baterias são descarregadas para reduzir o efeito de memória.
■ O LED acende continuamente a vermelho: A bateria é carregada com a
máxima corrente de carga.
■ O LED acende continuamente a verde: A bateria está completamente
carregada e o carregador de bateria passa para carga de manutenção.
Cálculo do tempo de carregamento médio
Dependendo do tipo, idade e o estado da carga residual da bateria, o processo
de carga terá diferentes durações. Pode calcular o tempo médio de carregamento
com a ajuda de fórmula abaixo indicada. No entanto, tenha em consideração,
que o tempo calculado deve ser usado apenas como valor de referência.

Carga de manutenção
Este carregador de bateria comanda separadamente o tempo de carregamento
para baterias do tipo Ni-Cd e Ni-MH. Este comando é baseado no método – Δ U
("menus Delta U"). Com o símbolo Delta Δ designam-se as diferenças na área da
matemática. Neste caso, "Menus Delta U" signifi ca uma diferença de tensão negativa.
A detecção de conclusão do carregamento faz uso dos seguintes efeitos: Se
uma bateria for carregada com tensão constante, a sua corrente vai aumentar de
forma contínua. Se a bateria está cheia, a sua tensão atinge um nível máximo
e cai de novo ligeiramente quando se verifi ca um fl uxo de corrente adicional.
Esta ligeira queda de tensão será detectada pelo sistema de carga electrónico
e o processo de carregamento será terminado. O carregador de bateria passa
automaticamente para "Carga de manutenção". Isto é, a bateria deixa de ser
carregada por corrente permanente, para passar a ser carregada por pulsos
de corrente. Deste modo, a auto-descarga é neutralizada e a bateria é mantida
num estado de carga completa.

Controlo por temporizador
O carregador de bateria possui ainda um controlo por temporizador, o qual
comuta automaticamente para o carregamento de compensação após 15 horas.
Isto serve como protecção adicional contra o carregamento excessivo, caso
a detecção de conclusão de carregamento não reaja devido a uma bateria
eventualmente danifi cada.

Limpeza
PERIGO
Desligue a fi cha de rede antes de cada limpeza. Existe perigo de choque

► Certifi que-se de que não haja infi ltração de humidade no aparelho durante
a limpeza para evitar danos irreparáveis no aparelho.
ATENÇÃO
Não utilize produtos de limpeza agressivos ou abrasivos que possam

agredir a superfície da caixa.
♦ Limpe as superfícies do aparelho com um pano suave e seco. Com sujidades
incrustadas utilize um pano ligeiramente humedecido.
♦ Limpe o interior dos compartimentos de carregamento . Nunca os
humedeça. Em vez disso, utilize para limpar um pincel suave e limpo .
♦ Em caso de sujidade, limpe os contactos de carga apenas com um pano
suave.
Armazenamento / Eliminação
Armazenamento
Se o aparelho não for utilizado durante um período de tempo longo, retire a
bateria e armazene-a num local limpo e seco sem contacto directo com a luz
solar.
Eliminação do aparelho
Nunca deite o aparelho no lixo doméstico normal. Este produto
é abrangido pela Directiva Europeia 2002/96/EC-WEEE (Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Elimine o aparelho através de um serviço autorizado de recolha de resíduos
ou através da entidade de eliminação de resíduos do seu município. Tenha em
consideração os regulamentos actualmente em vigor. Em caso de dúvidas, entre
em contacto com a respectiva instituição de recolha.
Eliminação de pilhas / pilhas recarregáveis
As pilhas / pilhas recarregáveis não podem ser depositadas no lixo doméstico.
Todo o consumidor deve entregar as pilhas / pilhas recarregáveis num ponto de
recolha da sua freguesia / região ou numa loja comercial. Esta obrigação tem
como fi nalidade garantir uma eliminação ecológica das pilhas / pilhas recarregáveis. Devolva as pilhas / pilhas recarregáveis apenas quando estas estiverem
vazias.

Basic Safety Instructions
For safe handling of the device observe the following safety instructions:
■ Before use check the device for visible external damage. Do not put into
operation a device that is damaged or has been dropped.
■ To avoid possible risks, arrange for damaged cables or connectors to be

■ This appliance is not intended for use by individuals (including children) with

safety or receive from this person instruction in how the appliance is to be used.

■ A repair to the device during the warranty period may only be carried
out by a customer service department authorised by the manufacturer,
if it is not, additional warranty claims cannot be considered for subse
quent defects.
■ Do not make any changes or modifi cations to the appliance yourself.
■ Protect the device from moisture and liquid penetration. Never submerge
the device in water, do not place the device in the vicinity of water and
do not stand any object fi lled with liquid (i.e. vases) on the device.
■ Do not operate the device in the vicinity of open fl ames (e.g. candles).
■ Avoid direct sunlight.
■ Charge exclusively rechargeable batteries of the types "Ni-Cd“ and
"Ni-MH".
■ NEVER recharge batteries of other types or non-rechargeable batteries.
These are not suitable for recharging. Batteries not suitable for recharging
can overheat and explode. It could irreparably damage the device and
the inserted batteries.
Interaction with rechargeable batteries (cells)
■ Do not use damaged or corroded rechargeable batteries in the device.
■ Rechargeable batteries (cells) can be fatal if swallowed. Therefore,
always keep the device and the rechargeable batteries out of the reach
of children!
■ If a rechargeable battery is swallowed medical assistance must be sought
IMMEDIATELY.
■ Should a battery have leaked, you must avoid contact by the battery fl uid
with the skin! The battery liquid can cause acid burns on the skin!
■ Remove the leaked battery liquid with a dry, absorbent cloth and avoid
contact by it with the skin by wearing, for example, a pair of gloves.

Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the device from transport damage. The packaging
materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness
and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.
The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves on raw material
and reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging material
that is no longer needed as per the regionally established regulations.

Handling and operation
In this chapter you will receive important information for the handling and operation of the device.
Charging batteries
♦ Place the device on a smooth, level and slip resistant surface.
♦ Compare the technical details with those of your power supplier. If they
match, insert the plug into a mains power socket. The LEDs
green once. The battery charger is now ready for use.
♦ Insert the batteries into the loading slots . Press the 9 V Block batteries
into the loading slot until they audibly engage.
NOTICE
1 to 6 batteries can be individually charged:
►
- 4 x Type C or Type D in the loading slots 1 to 4
or
- 4 x Type AA or AAA in the loading slots 1 to 4 and additionally
2 x Type 9 Volt Block batteries in the loading slots 5 and 6.
♦ The charging process now begins. The battery charger has an LED for
each compartment in the loading slot . The LEDs of the respective
loading slots
During the fi rst 5 seconds the battery charger carries out a capacity test:
show the charge status of the individual batteries.

Automatic charging control / Retention charging
This battery charger controls the charging time for batteries of the types Ni-Cd
and Ni-MH separately. This control is based on the –Δ U ("minus Delta U")
calculation. In mathematics, with Delta Δ diff erences are indicated. In this case,
"Minus Delta U" means a negative voltage diff erence.
This charge identifi cation makes itself useful in the following eff ects: Should a
battery be charged with a constant current, its voltage rises continuously. When
a battery is full, its voltage reaches a maximum but falls again slightly with further
current fl ow. This light fall in voltage is recognised by the charging electronics and
the charge process is terminated. The battery charger automatically switches to
"Retention charging". This means that the batteries are no longer being loaded
with constant current, instead, with short current pulses. This counteracts the selfdischarge and the batteries are kept in a state of full charge.

In addition, this battery charger has a timer control which automatically switches
over to retention charging after 15 hours. This serves as an additional protection
against overcharging should the charge termination not respond due to a possibly
defective battery.

Cleaning
DANGER
Always remove the plug before cleaning the device. There is the risk of an

► When you are cleaning the device ensure that no moisture gets inside it, so
as to avoid irreparable damage to it.
IMPORTANT
Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents, as these can damage

the upper surfaces.
♦ Clean the surfaces of the device with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn soiling
use a lightly moistened cloth.
♦ Never clean the insides of the loading slots with moist cloths. Instead,
use a clean soft brush to clean them.
♦ If soiled, clean the charging contacts with a dry cloth.
Storage / Disposal
Storage
If you do not intend to use the device for a longer time, remove the batteries and
store it in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Disposal of the device
Do not dispose of the device in your normal domestic waste.
This product is subject to the provisions of the European Directive
2002/96/EC-WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Dispose of the device through an approved disposal centre or at your community
waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt,
please contact your waste disposal centre.
Disposal of batteries / cells
Used batteries / cells may not be disposed of in household waste. All consumers
are statutorily obliged to dispose of batteries at a collection site of his community /
city district or at a retail store. The purpose of this obligation is to ensure that
batteries are disposed of in a non-polluting manner. Only dispose of batteries /
cells when they are fully discharged.

■ Nehmen Sie keine eigenmächtigen Umbauten oder Veränderungen am
Gerät vor.
■ Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Feuchtigkeit und dem Eindringen von Flüssigkeiten.
Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals unter Wasser, stellen Sie das Gerät nicht in der
Nähe von Wasser auf und stellen Sie keine mit Flüssigkeit gefüllten Gegenstände (z. B. Vasen) auf das Gerät.
■ Das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von off enen Flammen (z.B. Kerzen) betreiben.
■ Vermeiden Sie direkte Sonneneinstrahlung.
■ Laden Sie ausschließlich wiederaufl adbare Akkus der Typen „Ni-Cd“ und
„Ni-MH“.
■ Laden Sie niemals Akkus anderen Typs oder nicht-wiederaufl adbare Batterien
auf. Diese sind nicht zum Aufl aden geeignet. Nicht ladefähige Akkus können
überhitzen und explodieren. Es können das Gerät und die eingelegten Akkus
irreparabel beschädigt werden.
Umgang mit wiederaufl adbaren Batterien (Akkus)
■ Verwenden Sie keine beschädigten oder korrodierten wiederaufl adbaren
Batterien im Gerät.
■ Wiederaufl adbare Batterien (Akkus) können bei Verschlucken lebensge-
fährlich sein. Bewahren Sie deshalb das Gerät und die wiederaufl adbaren
Batterien für Kleinkinder unerreichbar auf!
■ Wurde eine wiederaufl adbare Batterie verschluckt, muss sofort medizinische
Hilfe in Anspruch genommen werden.
■ Sollte eine Batterie ausgelaufen sein, vermeiden Sie auf jeden Fall den
Kontakt der Batteriefl üssigkeit mit der Haut! Die Batteriefl üssigkeit kann
Hautverätzungen verursachen!
■ Entfernen Sie ausgelaufene Batteriefl üssigkeit mit einem trockenen, saugfä-
higem Tuch und vermeiden Sie dabei den Kontakt zur Haut, indem Sie z. B.
Handschuhe benutzen.

Entsorgung der Verpackung

Die Rückführung der Verpackung in den Materialkreislauf spart Rohstoff e und

Bedienung und Betrieb
In diesem Kapitel erhalten Sie wichtige Hinweise zur Bedienung und zum Betrieb
des Gerätes.
Akkus aufl aden
♦ Stellen Sie das Gerät auf einem geraden, ebenen und rutschfesten Unter-
grund auf.
♦ Vergleichen Sie die technischen Daten mit denen Ihres Stromnetzbetreibers.
Bei Übereinstimmung schließen Sie das Netzkabel an eine Steckdose an.
Die LEDs leuchten einmal rot und grün auf. Das Akku-Ladegerät ist jetzt
betriebsbereit.
♦ Setzen Sie die Akkus in die Ladeschächte ein. Drücken Sie die Akkus Typ
9 V-Block in die Ladeschächte , bis sie hörbar einrasten.
HINWEIS
Es können individuell 1–6 Akkus geladen werden:
►
- 4 x Typ C oder Typ D in den Ladeschächten 1 bis 4
oder
- 4 x Typ AA oder AAA in den Ladeschächten 1 bis 4 und zusätzlich
2 x Typ 9 V-Block in den Ladeschächten 5 und 6.
♦ Der Ladevorgang beginnt nun. Das Akku-Ladegerät besitzt je eine LED
für jedes Fach im Ladeschacht . Die LEDs der jeweiligen Ladeschächte zeigen den Ladezustand der einzelnen Akkus an.
In den ersten 5 Sekunden führt das Akku-Ladegerät einen Kapazitätsschnelltest
durch:

Rot 70 - 80 %
Rot blinkend < 70 %
HINWEIS
Wenn die LED des Ladeschachts länger als 5 Sekunden rot blinkt,
►
ist der Akku nicht richtig in den Ladeschacht eingelegt oder defekt.
♦ Ist die Kapazität der Akkus festgestellt, beginnt der Ladevorgang.

Betriebszustandsanzeigen
Die verschiedenen Anzeigen haben folgende Bedeutungen:
■ Die LED blinkt im Sekundentakt rot und grün (nicht für 9 V-Block): Die Akkus
werden abwechselnd geladen und entladen (Refresh-Funktion: Ältere oder
lange gelagerte Akkus werden wieder aufgefrischt).
■ Die LED blinkt im 1/2 Sekundentakt rot und grün (nicht für 9 V-Block): Die
Akkus werden entladen, um den Memory-Eff ekt zu verringern.
■ Die LED leuchtet durchgehend rot: Die Akkus werden mit dem maximalen
Ladestrom geladen.
■ Die LED leuchtet durchgehend grün: Die Akkus sind vollständig geladen
und das Akku-Ladegerät schaltet auf Erhaltungsladung um.
Berechnung der durchschnittlichen Ladezeit
Abhängig von Typ, Alter und Restladezustand der Akkus dauert der Aufl adevorgang unterschiedlich lange. Die durchschnittlichen Ladezeiten können Sie mit
Hilfe nachstehender Formel berechnen. Beachten Sie jedoch, dass es sich bei
den berechneten Zeiten nur um Richtwerte handelt.

Automatische Ladekontrolle / Erhaltungsladung
Dieses Akku-Ladegerät steuert die Ladezeit für Akkus vom Typ Ni-Cd und Ni-MH
separat. Dieser Steuerung liegt das –Δ U („minus Delta U“) Verfahren zugrunde.
Mit dem Delta Δ bezeichnet man in der Mathematik Diff erenzen. „Minus Delta U“
bedeutet in diesem Fall eine negative Spannungsdiff erenz.
Diese Ladeschlusserkennung macht sich folgenden Eff ekt zu nutze: Wird ein Akku
mit konstantem Strom geladen, steigt seine Spannung immer weiter an. Ist ein
Akku voll, so erreicht seine Spannung jedoch ein Maximum und fällt bei weiterem Stromfl uss wieder leicht ab. Dieser leichte Spannungsabfall wird von der
Ladeelektronik erkannt und der Ladevorgang wird beendet. Das Akku-Ladegerät
schaltet automatisch auf „Erhaltungsladung“. Das heißt, die Akkus werden nicht
mehr mit Dauerstrom, sondern mit kurzen Stromimpulsen geladen. Dadurch wird
der Selbstentladung entgegengewirkt und die Akkus werden in einem vollständigen Ladezustand gehalten.

Timersteuerung
Zusätzlich verfügt das Akku-Ladegerät über eine Timersteuerung, welche nach
15 Stunden automatisch in die Erhaltungsladung wechselt. Dies dient als zusätzlicher Schutz vor Überladung, falls die Ladeschlusserkennung aufgrund eines evtl.
defekten Akkus nicht reagiert.

Reinigung
GEFAHR
Ziehen Sie vor jeder Reinigung den Netzstecker. Es besteht die Gefahr

eines elektrischen Schlages!
► Stellen Sie sicher, dass bei der Reinigung keine Feuchtigkeit in das Gerät
eindringt, um eine irreparable Beschädigung des Gerätes zu vermeiden.

ACHTUNG
Verwenden Sie keine aggressiven oder scheuernden Reinigungsmittel, da

diese die Gehäuseoberfl äche angreifen können.
♦ Reinigen Sie die Oberfl ächen des Gerätes mit einem weichen, trockenen
Tuch. Benutzen Sie bei hartnäckigen Verschmutzungen ein leicht angefeuchtetes Tuch.
♦ Reinigen Sie das Innere der Ladeschächte keinesfalls feucht. Benutzen
Sie zum Säubern stattdessen einen sauberen, weichen Pinsel.
♦ Reinigen Sie die Ladekontakte bei Verschmutzung mit einem trockenen Tuch.
Lagerung / Entsorgung
Lagerung
Sollten Sie das Gerät längere Zeit nicht benutzen, entnehmen Sie die Akkus und
lagern Sie es an einem sauberen, trockenen Ort ohne direkte Sonneneinstrahlung.
Gerät entsorgen
Werfen Sie das Gerät keinesfalls in den normalen Hausmüll.
Dieses Produkt unterliegt der europäischen Richtlinie 2002/96/ECWEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Entsorgen Sie das Gerät über einen zugelassenen Entsorgungsbetrieb oder über
Ihre kommunale Entsorgungseinrichtung. Beachten Sie die aktuell geltenden
Vorschriften. Setzen Sie sich im Zweifelsfall mit Ihrer Entsorgungseinrichtung in
Verbindung.
Batterien / Akkus entsorgen
Batterien / Akkus dürfen nicht im Hausmüll entsorgt werden. Jeder Verbraucher ist
gesetzlich verpfl ichtet, Batterien / Akkus bei einer Sammelstelle seiner Gemeinde /
seines Stadtteils oder im Handel abzugeben. Diese Verpfl ichtung dient dazu, dass
Batterien / Akkus einer umweltschonenden Entsorgung zugeführt werden können.
Geben Sie Batterien / Akkus nur im entladenen Zustand zurück.
