Proper use

The in-car charger is a car accessory
that is compatible with the vehicle socket
(cigarette lighter) and is designed solely
for charging and operating devices with a
USB port. The car charger adapter is suitable
only for vehicles in which the negative
terminal of the battery is connected to the
bodywork.

The device is not intended for any other
purpose nor for use beyond the scope de­scribed. The device is not intended for use
in commercial or industrial environments.

Claims of any type due to damage from
improper use are excluded. The operator
bears sole liability.

Safety

This section contains important safety
instructions for handling the device. This
device complies with the statutory safety
regulations. Improper use may result in
personal injury and property damage.

Basic safety instructions

To ensure safe operation of the device,
follow the safety guidelines set out below:

■ Check the device for visible external

damage before use. Do not operate
a device that has been damaged or
dropped.

■ This device may be used by children

with limited physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, provided that they are under
supervision or have been told how to use
the device safely and are aware of the
potential risks.

device. Cleaning and user maintenance
tasks may not be carried out by children
unless they are supervised.

■ DANGER! Do not allow children

Keep all packaging materials away from
children. There is a risk of suffocation!

■ Never subject the device to extreme heat

or humidity. This particularly applies to
storage in a car. Extreme temperatures
can occur in car interiors and glove
compartments during long periods of
immobilisation. Remove any electrical
and electronic devices from the vehicle.

■ Do not operate the device whilst steering

a car or any other vehicle. This is hazard­ous to other road users.

charger (incl. any connected devices),
ensure that it does not interfere with the
steering, braking or the operation of
other vehicle systems (such as airbags)
and does not restrict your field of view
when driving.

■ Do not allow any liquids or moisture to

get into the device.

■ The device must always be supervised

during use.

■ WARNING! Unplug the device from

the vehicle socket immediately if you
notice unusual noises, a burnt smell or
smoke. Have the device checked by a
qualified specialist before using it again.

■ Never open the device housing. There

are no parts inside the device which
can be maintained. All repairs must
be carried out by authorised specialist
companies or by the Customer Service
department. Improper repairs may put
the user at risk. It will also invalidate any
warranty claims.

Using the device

CAUTION

► Make sure that the power consumption

of your device is not higher than 3 A
when you are using the USB socket 1.
Refer to the instruction manual of your
device for more information.

► The maximum power output of the

USB socket 1 is 3A.

NOTE

► The USB socket 1 supports

Qualcomm® Quick ChargeTM 3.0
(compatible with Quick ChargeTM 2.0
and Quick ChargeTM 1.0). If the con­nected device is compatible with this
charging standard, it will automatically
be detected by the in-car charger. The
in-car charger supplies the appropriate
output voltage or output current so
that the device can be charged more
quickly. Devices without this charging
standard can be charged normally
using the USB socket 1.

♦ Insert the car charger adapter into the

12/24V connection of your car. This
is usually the vehicle socket (cigarette
lighter) on the dashboard of your vehicle.
Many vehicles have a second socket
by the rear seats or in the boot. 24 volt
batteries are often used in lorries or on
boats.

♦ The operating LED 2 lights up white to

signal that the in-car charger is being
supplied with power. The operating LED 2
also lights up if no device is
connected. Depending on the vehicle
type, it is possible that the ignition has
to be switched on first.

♦ Connect your device to the car charger

adapter. Use the original USB cable
supplied with your device to optimise
the charging process.

♦ If required, you can switch your connected

device on for further use.

NOTE

► Observe the charging status on your

connected device.

♦ Disconnect your connected device from

the car charger adapter once the device
has completed charging.

♦ Unplug the car charger adapter from

the vehicle power outlet when you are
finished using it.

CAUTION

► Never connect the in-car charger

unless you are charging a device. The
car charger adapter also consumes
power in standby mode and therefore
must be disconnected from the vehicle
socket after use! Otherwise the battery
will discharge when the engine is not
running.

Troubleshooting

A connected device does not charge
(the operating LED 2 does not light
up white)

♦ No connection to the vehicle socket.

Check the connection.

♦ Depending on the vehicle type, it is pos-

sible that the ignition has to be switched
on first.

The operating LED 2 goes out after
a device has been connected.

♦ The car charger adapter is overloaded

and will no longer charge the connected
device. The internal overcurrent protec­tion has been triggered. Disconnect the
connected device from the in-car charg­er. The white operating LED 2 lights
up immediately and the in-car chargeris
ready for use again.

Cleaning

CAUTION

► Disconnect the device from the

12/24V on-board socket before
cleaning.

► Do not use caustic, abrasive or

solvent-based cleaning materials.
They can damage the surfaces of the
device.

♦ Clean the surfaces of the device with a

soft, dry cloth.

Storage when not in use

CAUTION

► Disconnect the device from the

12/24V on-board socket when not
in use.

► The temperatures inside the vehicle

can reach extreme values in summer
and winter. Consequently, to avoid
damage to the device, you should
not store it in the vehicle.

♦ Store the device in a location that is

clean, dry, dust-free and out of direct
sunlight.

Disposal

Disposal of the device

This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid

from the date of purchase. If this product
has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain
statutory rights. Your statutory rights are
not restricted in any way by the warranty
described below.

Warranty conditions

The warranty period starts on the date of
purchase. Please keep your receipt in a
safe place. This will be required as proof of
purchase.

If any material or manufacturing fault
occurs within three years of the date of pur­chase of the product, we will either repair
or replace the product for you or refund
the purchase price (at our discretion). This
warranty service requires that you present
the defective appliance and the proof of
purchase (receipt) within the three-year
warranty period, along with a brief written
description of the fault and of when it
occurred.

If the defect is covered by the warranty,
your product will either be repaired or
replaced by us. The repair or replacement
of a product does not signify the beginning
of a new warranty period.

Warranty period and statutory claims
for defects

The warranty period is not prolonged by
repairs effected under the warranty. This
also applies to replaced and repaired com­ponents. Any damage and defects present
at the time of purchase must be reported im­mediately after unpacking. Repairs carried
out after expiry of the warranty period shall
be subject to a fee.

Scope of the warranty

This appliance has been manufactured in
accordance with strict quality guidelines
and inspected meticulously prior to delivery.

The warranty covers material faults or
production faults. The warranty does not
extend to product parts subject to normal
wear and tear or to fragile parts which
could be considered as consumable parts
such as switches, batteries or parts made
of glass.

The warranty does not apply if the product
has been damaged, improperly used or
improperly maintained. The directions in
the operating instructions for the product re­garding proper use of the product are to be
strictly followed. Uses and actions that are

use and not for commercial purposes. The
warranty shall be deemed void in cases of
misuse or improper handling, use of force
and modifications / repairs which have not
been carried out by one of our authorised

♦ Branchez le chargeur allume-cigare dans

la prise 12/24 V de votre véhicule.
En règle générale, il s’agit de la prise de
courant de bord (allume-cigare) située
sur le tableau de bord de votre véhicule.
De nombreux véhicules possèdent une
seconde prise au niveau des sièges
arrière ou dans le coffre. Les batteries
de 24 volts sont par ex.utilisées dans
des camions ou sur des bateaux.

♦ La LED de service 2 s’allume en blanc

et signale ainsi que le chargeur allume­cigare est raccordé au réseau électrique
de bord. La LED de service 2 s’allume
également lorsqu’aucun appareil n’est
branché. Selon le type de véhicule, il
faudra éventuellement que le circuit d’al­lumage ait été enclenché au préalable.

♦ Branchez votre appareil au chargeur

allume-cigare. Utilisez pour cela le câble
USB d’origine de votre appareil pour
permettre un chargement optimal.

♦ Si nécessaire, allumez votre appareil

connecté pour continuer à l’utiliser.

n'est pas allumé, la batterie va se
décharger.

Recherche de défauts

Un appareil raccordé n’est pas chargé
(la LED de service 2 n’est pas allumée
en blanc)

♦ Pas de connexion avec la prise de cou-

rant de bord. Vérifiez la connexion.

♦ Selon le type de véhicule, il faudra

éventuellement que le circuit d’allumage
ait été enclenché au préalable.

La LED de service 2 s’éteint une fois
un appareil raccordé.

♦ Le chargeur allume-cigare est surchargé

et ne charge plus l’appareil raccordé.
Le fusible de surintensité interne s’est dé­clenché. Débranchez l’appareil branché
au chargeur allume-cigare. La LED de
service 2 blanche s’allume immédiate­ment et le chargeur allume-cigare est à
nouveau prêt à fonctionner.

Nettoyage

ATTENTION

► Débranchez l'appareil de la prise de

► N'utilisez pas de produits nettoyants

Veiligheid

In dit hoofdstuk vindt u belangrijke veilig­heidsvoorschriften voor de omgang met
het apparaat. Dit apparaat voldoet aan
de wettelijke veiligheidsvoorschriften. Een
verkeerd gebruik kan leiden tot persoonlijk
letsel en materiële schade.

Basisveiligheidsvoorschriften

Neem de volgende veiligheidsvoorschriften
in acht voor een veilige omgang met het
apparaat:

■ Controleer het apparaat vóór gebruik

op zichtbare schade aan de buitenzijde.
Gebruik geen apparaat dat beschadigd
of gevallen is.

■ Dit apparaat mag worden gebruikt door

kinderen vanaf 8jaar en door personen
met beperkte fysieke, zintuiglijke of gees­telijke vermogens of gebrek aan ervaring
of kennis, mits ze onder toezicht staan

in een auto. Bij langere parkeertijd
ontstaan er extreme temperaturen in de
cabine en het handschoenenkastje. Haal
elektrische en elektronische apparaten
uit het voertuig.

■ Bedien het apparaat niet wanneer u

een auto of een ander voertuig bestuurt.
Dit vormt een bron van gevaar in het
wegverkeer.

vormen voor het sturen, remmen en de

en dat ze uw zicht tijdens het rijden niet
beperken.

■ Bescherm het apparaat tegen vocht en

het binnendringen van vloeistoffen.

■ Gebruik het apparaat nooit zonder

toezicht.

■ WAARSCHUWING! Haal het

apparaat onmiddellijk uit het boordstop­contact als u ongewone geluiden, een
brandlucht of rookontwikkeling consta­teert. Laat het apparaat door een ge­kwalificeerd technicus nakijken voordat u
het opnieuw gebruikt.

raat. Er bevinden zich geen onderdelen
in die onderhoud vergen. Laat reparaties

► De USB-aansluiting 1 ondersteunt de

oplaadstandaard Qualcomm® Quick
ChargeTM 3.0 (compatibel met Quick
ChargeTM2.0 en Quick ChargeTM

compatibel is met deze oplaadstan­daard, wordt het automatisch door
de auto-laadadapter herkend. De
auto-laadadapter levert de passende
uitgangsspanning resp. uitgangs­stroom, zodat het apparaat sneller
kan worden opgeladen. Apparaten
die niet compatibel zijn met deze
standaard, kunnen eveneens worden
opgeladen via de USB-aansluiting 1.

♦ Steek de auto-laadadapter in de 12/24V-

aansluiting van uw voertuig. Dit is
meestal het boordstopcontact (de siga­rettenaansteker) in het dashboard van
uw auto. Veel voertuigen hebben een
tweede aansluiting bij de achterbank of
in de kofferbak. Accu's van 24 Volt wor­den bijvoorbeeldin vrachtwagens en op
schepen gebruikt.

♦ De bedrijfs-LED 2 licht wit op en geeft

daarmee de aansluiting van de auto­laadadapter op de voeding aan. De be­drijfs-LED 2 brandt ook wanneer geen
apparaat is aangesloten. Afhankelijk van
het voertuigtype moet eventueel vooraf
het contact van het voertuig worden
ingeschakeld.

Problemen oplossen

Een aangesloten apparaat wordt niet
opgeladen (de bedrijfs-LED 2 licht niet
wit op)

♦ Geen verbinding met het boordstopcon-

tact. Controleer de verbinding.

♦ Afhankelijk van het voertuigtype moet

eventueel vooraf het contact van het
voertuig worden ingeschakeld.

De bedrijfs-LED 2 dooft nadat een
apparaat is aangesloten.

♦ De auto-laadadapter is overbelast

en laadt het aangesloten apparaat
niet meer op. De interne overstroom­beveiliging is geactiveerd. Koppel
het aangesloten apparaat los van de
auto-laadadapter. De bedrijfs-led 2
begint onmiddellijk te branden en de
auto-laadadapter is weer klaar voor
gebruik.

Reiniging

LET OP

► Koppel het apparaat los van het

12/24 V-boordstopcontact voordat
u het reinigt.

► Gebruik geen bijtende, schurende of

oplosmiddelhoudende schoonmaak­middelen. Deze kunnen de buitenkant
van het apparaat aantasten.

fabricagefout optreedt, wordt - naar onze
keuze - het product door ons kosteloos
gerepareerd of vervangen of wordt de

deze garantie is dat het defecte apparaat
en het aankoopbewijs (kassabon) binnen
de termijn van drie jaar worden overlegd
en dat kort wordt omschreven waaruit
het gebrek bestaat en wanneer het is
opgetreden.

Wanneer het defect door onze garantie
wordt gedekt, krijgt u het gerepareerde
product of een nieuw product retour. Met
de reparatie of vervanging van het product
begint er geen nieuwe garantieperiode.

Garantieperiode en wettelijke
aanspraken bij gebreken

De garantieperiode wordt door deze
waarborg niet verlengd. Dat geldt ook voor
vervangen en gerepareerde onderdelen.
Eventueel al bij aankoop aanwezige
schade en gebreken moeten meteen na het
uitpakken worden gemeld. Voor reparaties
na afloop van de garantieperiode worden
kosten in rekening gebracht.

Garantieomvang

Het apparaat is op basis van strenge
kwaliteitsnormen met de grootst mogelijke
zorg vervaardigd en voorafgaand aan de
levering nauwkeurig gecontroleerd.

De garantie geldt voor materiaal- of
fabricagefouten. Deze garantie geldt niet
voor productonderdelen die onderhevig
zijn aan normale slijtage en die daarom als
slijtonderdelen worden beschouwd, of voor
schade aan breekbare onderdelen zoals
schakelaars, accu‘s of onderdelen die van
glas zijn gemaakt.

Deze garantie vervalt wanneer het product
is beschadigd, ondeskundig is gebruikt of is
gerepareerd. Voor deskundig gebruik van
het product moeten alle in de gebruiksaan­wijzing beschreven aanwijzingen precies
worden opgevolgd. Gebruiksdoeleinden en
handelingen die in de gebruiksaanwijzing
worden afgeraden of waarvoor wordt
gewaarschuwd, moeten beslist worden
vermeden.

Het product is uitsluitend bestemd voor
privégebruik en niet voor bedrijfsmatige
doeleinden. Bij verkeerd gebruik en
ondeskundige behandeling, bij gebruik van
geweld en bij reparaties die niet door ons
erkend servicefiliaal zijn uitgevoerd, vervalt
de garantie.

Voor een snelle afhandeling van uw aanvraag
