No. of discharge directions can be selected according to the shape of rooms and installation
position.
(3) Installing the indoor unit
• Mount the indoor unit. Make sure that the blocking direction and piping direction are as shown in the
table below. (Refer to the figure-3 for the view of an illustration.)
Do not use any blocking direction other than indicated in the table below.
(4) To use this kit for the Digital Inverter Series Airconditioner, change the settings of the remote control as
described below. (No setting change is required for the VRF Series Airconditioner.)
(Figure 3 shows a view seen from the drain pan.)
(1) Installing the indoor unit
• Mount the indoor unit onto the ceiling. (For
details, refer to Manual of attachment to an
indoor unit.)
(2) Installing the air discharge parts and packing
• Attach the air discharge parts to the supply
opening (made of Styrofoam) of the indoor
unit, and block the supply opening by
attaching a packing on it. (See Figure 1 and
Figure 2.)
• Make sure that the packing cover the inner
Styrofoam part of the indoor unit. Otherwise
condensation may occur. (See Figure 1.)
To use this kit for the Digital Inverter Series
Airconditioner, change the settings of the remote control
as described later. Otherwise the blow-off temperature
drops upon cooling, causing condensation. For the VRF
Series Airconditioner, no setting change is required.

CAUTION
When using an optional highly efficient filter, supply directions to 3 and 2 directions cannot be performed.
Regulation of air quantity is required when installing in a high ceiling, therefore set up "High ceiling
setting" apart from the above-mentioned setting change.
For details, refer to "High Ceiling Installation Manual" of attachment to an indoor unit.

<Procedure>
Do the following while the air conditioner is not running.
Press and hold the 3 buttons simultaneously for 4 seconds or longer.
The unit number displayed first is the indoor unit address of the parent machine for group control.
Only the fan of the selected indoor unit operates.
The indoor unit numbers within group control are displayed one by one as you press the button.
Only the fan of the selected indoor unit operates.

Use the button to set Item Code .
(Timer setting)
Use the button to set the setting data to .
Press the button. (The display illuminates when the setting change is complete.)
To change the setting of the selected indoor unit, repeat the steps from .
Press the button to return to the normal stop state.
