TASCAM CC-222, Click Noise
Symptom:
1. When tape play is stopped by Stop or Pause key, click noise is heard there. The click noise is recorded on CD-R/RW disc if the Stop or the Pause key is pressed while manual dubbing from tape to the CD-R/RW.
2. In case "DUB 1 (TPE --> CD-RW)" mode is cancelled by Stop key of Tape or CD-RW, the click noise is recorded on CD-R/RW disc same as 1).
Solution: Following hardware change is needed. It has been made on the products of S/N 0100001 and up.
* Parts Required 2 pcs. Ceramic Capacitor, 1000 pF P/N 3C013672 1 pce. Transistor, DTA124ES P/N 3S000301 1 pce. Wire, 50 mm P/N 3V000050
1. On In/Out PCB Assy Replace C727 0.1 uF Ceramic Capacitor with 1000 pF one.

2. On Main PCB Assy
a) Replace C353 0.1 uF Ceramic Capacitor with 1000 pF one.
a) Replace with 1000 pF Ceramic Capacitor.
b) Connect Emitter of an additional DTA124ES Transistor to Emitter of Q314. c) Connect Base of the additional DTA124ES to Test Pad "P-E". d) Fit an additional 50 mm Wire between Collector of the additional DTA124ES and Test Pad "N-EQ". e) Cut foil pattern between U314-Pin 4 and Test Pad "N-EQ".
b) Connect Emitter of the additional DTA124ES.
