product, keep the pressure nozzle at a minimum of 24 in. (61 cm) from the product.
• Always allow to air dry.
• Do not clean, service, or perform maintenance while the product is in use.
The product is power washable. The product may show some signs of oxidation or discoloration from continuous washing.
No degradation of the product’s performance will occur from power washing as long as you follow the proper procedures.
•Follow the cleaning solution manufacturer’s dilution recommendations exactly.
•The preferred method Stryker Medical recommends for power washing the product is with the standard hospital surgical
cart washer or hand held wand unit.
•Clean VVeellccrroo® after each use. Saturate VVeellccrroo® with disinfectant and allow disinfectant to evaporate. Appropriate
disinfectant for nylon VVeellccrroo® should be determined by the service.
•Immersing restraint strap metal buckles can cause buckle corrosion and is not recommended. Rinse with clean water
and allow to air dry to reduce chance of corrosion. Replace restraints if metal buckles are corroded.
•The elastic oxygen bottle holder is made with high quality woven elastic. Make sure that you clean the elastic oxygen
bottle holder regularly.
If a foreign material gets between the SSttaaiirr--TTRREEAADD system belt and track frame on Model 6252, you must clean the track
frame.
To clean the track frame:
1. Loosen the track belts.
2. Remove the rear wheels.
3. Clean the track frame with rubbing alcohol.
4. Use water at high pressure to rinse the belts. Clean both the inside and outside belt surfaces.
5. Allow the belts to completely dry.
6. Reassemble the track belts and the rear wheels.
7. Following the appropriate warnings and cautions, test the performance of the chair with a simulated occupant weight
while you descend a flight of stairs.
If performance does not return to the original conditions, you may need to recondition or replace the belts.

In general, when used in concentrations recommended by the manufacturer, either phenolic type or quaternary (excluding
VViirreexx® TB) type disinfectants can be used. Iodophor type disinfectants are not recommended for use because staining
may occur.

the surface of the product and may cause premature corrosion of critical components.
•Chlorinated bleach solution (5.25% - less than 1 part bleach to 100 parts water)
Avoid over saturation. Do not allow the product to stay wet longer than the chemical manufacturer's guidelines for proper
disinfecting.
NNoottee -- Failure to follow the above directions when using these types of cleaners may void this product’s warranty.

Remove product from service before you perform the preventive maintenance inspection. Check all items listed during

NNoottee -- Clean and disinfect the exterior of the support surface before inspection, if applicable.
1. Using the 5/32" hex wrench and 7/16" combination wrench or socket, remove the socket screw from the center of the
lock pedal. The wheel lock is initially assembled with the pedal set at the minimum locking force. The marker on the
pedal (A) is aligned with the marker on the octagonal sleeve (B) (Wheel locking force adjustment).
2. Remove the sleeve (B). Rotate the sleeve counterclockwise to increase the pedal locking force and clockwise to
decrease the locking force. Insert the sleeve into the pedal (Wheel locking force adjustment).
3. Using the 5/32" hex wrench and 7/16" combination wrench or socket, reinstall the socket screw.
4. Test the pedal locking force and make sure that the pedal holds properly before returning it to service.
1. Place the seat section on the frame, wrap it around the seat tube, and fit the slots in the seat section (Figure 4) over the
clips on the underside of the seat tube. Be sure the “shiny” side of the seat is on the inside.
7. Insert both ends of the top strap through the loops in the back section.
8. Thread the end of the bottom strap through the buckle and pull it tight.

NNoottee -- New track belts must be installed if the inner cords are exposed on the wear surfaces.
5. For a start or end point of reference while sanding, use a permanent marker to color a tooth on the belt (Figure 17).
6. Using a sanding block with 50 grit sandpaper, sand both wear surfaces (B) (Figure 18) on the outside edges of each belt
(Figure 19). The purpose is to roughen the surface of the belt just enough to remove the shiny spots caused by normal
wear. Do not over sand the belts.

2. Using a 1/2'' wrench and a 3/16'' hex key, remove the button head cap screw, nut, spacers, and wheel from the frame.
Discard the cap screw and nut (Figure 23).
3. Using the supplied fasteners, attach the supplied wheel to the frame.
4. Repeat steps for the other wheel, if necessary.
5. Verify proper operation of the product before returning it to service.
