Indications for Use
The Stryker Sustainability Solutions Reprocessed Stanley Bed Alarm Sensor Pads are designed to detect when the patient lifts off the bed. These sensor pads must be connected to a compatible Stanley Bed-Check Alarm Unit.
Instructions for Use:
1. Place sensor pad on top of mattress, across the width of the bed. For best sensitivity, place the sensor pad above any pads (exception: incontinence pad) or mattress covers. Only the bottom sheet (and incontinence pad, if used) should be between the sensor pad and the patient.
a. Adjust sensor pad position to be under the patient’s buttocks (3”-5” below mattress bend) b. As an alternative, especially for “faster” patients, the sensor pad may be placed under the shoulder blades.
2. Secure sensor pad in position: use the enclosed rubber bands and clips, attach clips to bedsprings, frame or mattress piping.
3. Connect sensor pad to the alarm unit.
4. For continued safety, test system performance before using and daily thereafter.
5. For troubleshooting, consult the User Guide.
6. Clean by wiping sensor pad with a non-caustic sanit iz ing sol u tion.
