Horizon HX260S
VHF Marine Transceiver
The Horizon HX260S is no ordinary 5-watt portable VHF. The HX260S is the least expensive submersible VHF handheld available today. Add a combination of features and accessories not available in any other product in its price range and you have what is the best value in its class.
SUBMERSIBLE
The HX260S utilizes a high impact non-corrosive case, waterproof gasketing and internal circuit boards protected with HumiSeal® moisture barrier. Engineered for unparalleled reliability, the STANDARD HORIZON HX260S exceeds JIS 7 Standards for waterproofing to 3 feet for 30 minutes continuously.
PRACTICAL BATTERY OPTIONS
A separate alkaline battery tray and large 750 mAh rechargeable NiCad are standard equipment with the HX260S. The NiCad provides 8-hour operation between charges. Additionally, an easy to see flag on the LCD works like a dynamic gas gauge indicating battery time remaining.
ESSENTIAL OPERATIONAL FEATURES
The HX260S has an enormous LCD window with tall, wide digits and bold information flags that are easy to read and identify. Both the LCD and keypad are backlit for best visibility at night. The HX260S has all U.S., International and Canadian channels plus one button access to weather channels including NOAA weather alerts as well as channels 9 and 16. User programmable scanning allows the user to scan any number or combination of channels. In addition the HX260S features Dual Watch allowing the user to prioritize 16 while monitoring an additional channel.
BUILT BETTER, BACKED BETTER
Because the HX260S is built better, it is backed better. If the STANDARD HORIZON HX260S VHF radio fails for any reason including water damage, during normal use in the first three years of ownership, STANDARD HORIZON will repair or replace it (determined by STANDARD HORIZON service center) free without hassle or charges period! If it fails thereafter in normal use, for as long as the original purchaser owns the radio, STANDARD HORIZON s unique Lifetime Flat Rate Service Program (flat rate amount determined at time of purchase) covers the HX260S.
