EXPANSION TANK WALL SUPPORT
598-021 SERIES
SPECIFICATION
Sioux Chief 598-021 Series thermal expansion tank support kit shall be used
where necessary to take the load and weight off pipes, ttings or connections to
tube where thermal expansion tanks are installed in closets or near nished or
unnished walls. The expansion tank kit includes Sioux Chief's SaddleUp™ bracket
with two #6 x 2" screws and stainless steel bands. Bands shall t a range of
thermal expansion tanks up to 5 -gallons. Snap-lock bands shall be stainless steel
and the SaddleUp™ bracket shall be galvanized. The mounting screws shall be zincplated for corrosion resistance.
INSTALLATION
Secure SaddleUp™ bracket with two #6 x 2" screws to wall making sure screws
penetrate through a wood or metal stud. Thread end of band through bracket and
around body the thermal expansion tank. Secure band tightly around tank. Either
one or two brackets with bands can be installed. When installing one band, make
sure band is centered on the tank. Band may be trimmed if desired.
