524/528 SERIES

SPECIFICATION

Sioux Chief metal hanger strap shall be used where necessary to support CTS, IPS or DWV pipe. Metal strap shall be made from either galvanized or copper-plated steel and installed in accordance with national codes pertaining to hanger spacing and slope requirements. Metal hanger strap shall feature ¼" or " pre-drilled pilot holes in alternating patterns and strap shall be ¾" wide.

INSTALLATION

Wear gloves and eye protection when handling metal hanger strap to avoid injury. Cut hanger strap to desired length. Using approved hardware, secure hanger strap with nail or screw to joist or stud member through pre-drilled pilot hole on strap. Hanger strap may be looped or double wrapped around piping and may be installed on same side or opposite sides of floor joists or stud members.
