4000 ANSI Lumens combined with DLP™ Technology Ensures Eye-Popping Brightness and Realistic Colorimetry
High-Brightness Picture
4000 ANSI Lumens Brightness with Unique "Intelligent" Dual Lamp System
With Sharp's advanced DLP™ Optical Engine, matched with dual 250W highbrightness lamps, the XG-PH50X achieves 4000 ANSI Lumens, with excellent contrast and uniformity, delivering bright, clear images in large highly-lit rooms.
4-Mode Single/Dual Lamp Switchover
With Sharp's Intelligent Dual Lamp System, you can choose the lamp arrangement to suit your needs. When both lamps are utilized, the XG-PH50X delivers 4000 ANSI Lumens in standard mode and 3000 ANSI Lumens in lowpower "eco" mode. When only a single lamp is used, the projector provides 2000 ANSI Lumens
Cutting-Edge DLP™ Technology
DLP™ System*
The XG-PH50X employs a DLP™ display device system which outshines the alternatives because, being mirror-based, they use light more efficiently. While other technologies lose a certain amount of light in transit, the microscopic mirrors in this system bring more light from lamp to screen. The hundreds of thousands of mirrors in the DLP™ Digital Micromirror Device (DMD™) are spaced less than one micron apart, resulting in a very high "fill factor". By minimizing the gaps between pixels in a projected image, DLP™ projections systems create a "seamless" digital picture that's sharp at any size without pixelation or "screen door" effect.

Long-life High-Performance DMD™ Panel
DMD™ silicon chip formation with finely structured mirrors provides stable performance and delivers high-quality pictures for longer periods. The DMD™ chip and color wheel in the XG-PH50X achieves a lifetime of up to 20,000 hours*. Also, because there is no burn-in or remaining after-image, the projectors are ideal for still picture projection such as guidance board applications and projecting CAD images.
*The lifespan is measured at the surrounding temperature of 25ºC. This is a reference value and is not guaranteed.
DDR DLP™ with Sealed Optics
The XG-PH50X utilizes the latest DDR (Double Data Rate) DLP™ technology - incorporating a 4segment, 3-speed color wheel with sealed optics. This provides higher contrast (1000:1), with superior color accuracy and dependability. The sealed optics minimize dust, dirt and smoke from entering the system. This ensures maximum reliability (with minimal maintenance) - even during extended use.
Flexible Lens System
Power Zoom, Focus and H&V Lens Shift!
In addition to power zoom and focus, the XG-PH50X offers powered H&V (horizontal and vertical) lens shift. This allows exceptionally flexible projector placement, while minimizing keystone distortion.

Six Interchangeable Lenses
For use in almost any size venue, a total of six optional lenses are available. This enables continuous throw ratios from 1.5 to
7.0. Five of the lenses are motorized; the sixth is a 0.8 fixed focus. [Note, the projector may be purchased either with a standard 1:1.2x power zoom lens attached ("XG-PH50X"), or without lens ("XGPH50X-NL").]

in standard mode, and 1500 ANSI Lumens in "eco" mode. In single-lamp mode, the projector can be set up to alternate between lamps (with the projector automatically switches from one lamp to the other after approximately 100 hours). This helps maintain even brightness, and minimize bulb purchases. Sharp's Dual Lamp System further provides "redundant reliability" - an important consideration in mission critical applications. In the event one lamp should fail, the second lamp ensures continued
The DLP™ Advantage
Consider these DLP™ Advantages of the XG-PH50X
• Superior Reliability - Estimated DMD™ Life of approximately 20,000 hours with no image degradation
• 1000:1 Contrast Ratio - For sharper, more detailed images with higher black levels
• Faster Pixel Switching - For full-motion reproduction without blur, smear or ghosting
• "Seamless" images - Without annoying pixelization or "screen door" effect
• Smoother Video Performance - With vivid, more accurate colors
• No Convergence Adjustments - One panel design means no fuzzy, misaligned images
• Quieter Operation - 35 dB in standard mode; 33 dB in "eco" mode
