INFORMACIÓN GENERAL

1) Manipular el paquete con cuidado. Desembalarlo
y comprobar que el contenido coincide con lo indi­cado en el apartado de la “Lista de embalaje”. Si
se observa algún componente dañado o la ausen­cia de alguno avisar rápidamente al distribuidor.

2) No instalar ni utilizar el equipo sin leer, previamen­te, este manual de instrucciones.

3) Estas instrucciones forman parte inseparable del
aparato y deben estar disponibles a todos los usua­rios del equipo.

4) Cualquier duda puede ser aclarada contactando con
el servicio técnico de J.P. SELECTA, s.a.

5) ¡ATENCIÓN! NO SE ADMITIRÁ NINGUNA MÁ-

1) Handle the parcel with care. Unpack and check
that the contents coincide with the packing-list. If
any part is damaged or missing, please advise
the distributor immediately.

equipment and it must be available for all users.

DESCRIPCIÓN DEL EQUIPO

Válido para temperaturas de 121ºC y 131ºC ( 1 y 1.7
Kg/cm²). Mueble exterior y encimera en acero inox. AISI
304, depósito y tapa en aleación especial de aluminio y
recinto interior revestido en teflón.
Incorpora un cierre simple y seguro en forma de bayo­neta y una válvula de seguridad.

INSTALACIÓN

Situar el autoclave cerca de una toma de corriente ade­cuada al consumo de la máquina.

Inmovilice el autoclave ajustándolo al suelo, mediante
los topes situados en la parte anterior del aparato, pre­vistos para tal efecto.

Utilizar siempre agua descalcificada.

Fijar una manguera en la tetina de salida de agua/vapor
de la máquina, y fijar también el otro extremo a un reci­piente o desagüe procurando NO OBSTRUIR EL PASO.

EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION

For temperatures of 121ºC and 131ºC ( 1 and 1.7 Kg/
cm²). Top and outer casing in AISI 304 stainless steel,
chamber and lid in special aluminium alloy and a teflon­coated inner casing.
Built in a simple safety bayonet lock system and a
safety valve.

INSTALLATION

Place the autoclave near a suitable electric mains.

Immobilise the autoclave with the stops provided in
the front part of the apparatus.

Always use decalcified water.

Fix a hose in the water/steam exit nipple of the machine,
and also fix the other end to a drain or deposit without
OBSTRUCTING THE FLOW.

No instalar el autoclave en zonas donde se almacenen
líquidos inflamables o zonas con protección especial.

Antes de abrir la tapa del autoclave comprobar SIEM-
PRE que NO haya PRESION. El indicador del
manómetro instalado en el panel de mandos debe mar­car 0kg/cm².

¡ATENCIÓN! IMPORTANTE PARA SU SEGURIDAD

Asegúrese que el equipo se conecta a una ten­sión de red que coincide con la indicada en la
placa de características.

No utilice el equipo sin estar conectada la toma
de tierra.

No sobrepasar la presión máxima de trabajo de

Revisar periódicamente el funcionamiento de la
válvula de seguridad.

Do not install the autoclave in places where inflammable
liquids are stored or in zones with special protection.

Before opening the cover ALWAYS check that there
is NOT PRESSURE. The pressure gauge indicator
installed in the control panel must read 0kg/cm².

Be sure that the voltage supply is the same as the
one indicated on the characteristics plate.

Do not use the autoclave if it is not earthed.

NEVER exceed the maximum pressure of 1.7 Kg/
cm²

From time to time revise the functioning of the
safety valve.

Si cambia la clavija de enchufe tenga en cuenta
lo siguiente:

Cable azul: Neutro.
Cable marrón: Fase.
Cable amarillo/verde: Tierra.

If you change the plug bear in mind the following:

Blue cable: Neutral.
Brown cable: Phase.
Yellow/green cable: Earth.

OPERACIÓN

PUESTA EN MARCHA:

1. Abrir la tapa mediante giro inverso a las agujas del
reloj. llenar el autoclave con agua preferentemente
descalcificada, hasta el nivel de la gradilla inferior
(aproximadamente 1 litro).

OPERATION

STARTING UP:

1. Open the cover turning it anticlockwise. Fill the
tank of the autoclave (better with decalcified water)
up to the brim level (aprox. 1 liter).

2. Introducir el material a esterilizar.

3. Poner la válvula lateral en la posición de VAPOR.

4. Poner la tapa, hacer una ligera presión hacia abajo
y girar en sentido de las agujas del reloj, hasta que
las dos asas queden una encima de la otra.

3. Place the side valve to the STEAM position.

4. Put the cover, softly press down and turn clockwise
until the two handles stay one above the other.

5. Seleccionar la temperatura de esterilización, a través
del selector (3), teniendo presente la relación existen­te entre la temperatura y la presión de vapor saturado
(Ver tabla 1).

6. Seleccionar el tiempo de esterilización. Este tiem­po es la suma del tiempo necesario para producir
vapor, unos 15 minutos, más el tiempo para la ex­pulsión del aire, unos 3 minutos, más 5 minutos para
alcanzar la presión de 1Kg./cm², más los 20 minu­tos para el esterilizado.

5. Select the sterilization temperature with the
switch selector (3) bearing in mind the relation
between temperature and pressure of the
saturated steam. (See table 1).

6. Select the sterilization time. This time is the addi­tion of the necessary time to produce steam (about
15 minutes), plus the time for ejecting the air (about
3 minutes), plus 5 minutes to get the pressure of
1Kg./cm², plus the 20 minutes for the sterilization.
(See table 2).

7. Accionar el interruptor general POWER (1).

8. Cuando empiece a salir vapor por la espita posterior,
dejar transcurrir unos 3 minutos, para asi purgar de­finitivamente el aire que queda en el interior. Cerrar
la válvu-la lateral (8) y pasar de la posición VAPOR a
la posición CERRADO.

9. Cuando el temporizador (2) llegue a 0, se desconec­tara automáticamente el autoclave.

7. Press the main switch POWER (1).

8. When the steam begins to go out by the STEAM
valve, wait 3 minutes to definitively purge the air
that is still inside. Close the side valve (8) and
move from STEAM position to CLOSED position.

9. When the timer (2) arrives to 0, the autoclave will
stop automatically.

10. ¡ATENCION!!! NO ABRIR LA TAPA SUPERIOR
HASTA QUE EL MANOMETRO ESTE A
“CERO” Y LA VALVULA DE VAPOR ABIERTA

11. Para vaciar el agua del interior, poner la manecilla
en la posición DESAGUE.

SEGURIDAD

* TERMOSTATO DE SEGURIDAD:

En caso de poner en marcha el autoclave sin el nivel
suficiente de agua o por sobretemperatura anormal, se
disparará el termostato de seguridad, encendiendose
el piloto rojo (7) ALARM, indicando tal anomalía.

En esta circunstancia:

11. To empty the inner water, place the handle to
DRAINAGE position.

SAFETY

* SAFETY THERMOSTAT:

When abnormal increase of the temperature or a
considerable decrease in the water level occurs (with
the consequent overheating of the heater element), the
safety thermostat starts working blocking the heating
of the machine and the ALARM indicator lamp (7) lights
up. To deblock the machine proceed as follows:

1. Desenchufar el autoclave.

2. Abrir la válvula de VAPOR.

3. Dejar enfriar.

4. Abrir y reponer el agua necesaria.

5. Rearmar el termostato de seguridad situado en la
parte inferior trasera del aparato.

6. Volver a poner el aparato en marcha.

De persistir la avería avisar al Servicio Técnico.

* VÁLVULA DE SEGURIDAD:

1. Disconnect the autoclave from the mains.

2. Open the STEAM valve.

3. Let it cool.

4. Open and fill the tank with water up to the working
level.

5. Reset the safety thermostat placed at the rear
bottom part.

6. Start up the autoclave.

If the problem continues, you must call the Technical
Service.

* SAFETY VALVE:

Esta calibrada para que expulse el vapor a 2Kg/cm², y
únicamente entra en funcionamiento en caso de fallo
del presostato.

Said valve is gauged to initiate the opening at 2kg/
cm², and only begins to work if the pressure switch
fails.

MANTENIMIENTO

Antes de quitar las tapas laterales desconectar el
aparato de la red eléctrica.

La placa de control sólo debe ser manipulada por
personal de mantenimiento debidamente autori­zado.

MAINTENANCE

Before removing the cover disconnect the apparatus
from the mains.

The manipulation of the internal electronic circuits
of the apparatus by unauthorized personnel can
cause irreparable damage. Take it to one of the
J.P.SELECTA authorized technical services.

LIMPIEZA:
Para la limpieza de las diferentes piezas de los apara­tos, recomendamos los siguientes productos:

Limpieza del acero inoxidable: Alcohol.
Limpieza de carátulas y plásticos: Alcohol con algo­dón o con un paño no abrasivo.
Limpieza de tuberías con cal: Mezcla del 50% de
salfumán y del 50% de agua.

OTRAS CONSIDERACIONES:

Es aconsejable cambiar el agua después de 50 usos o
1 vez al mes.
Revisar periódicamente el funcionamiento de la válvula
de seguridad.
Revisar anualmente el total funcionamiento del auto­clave por personal cualificado.

GARANTÍA

Este producto tiene una garantía de un año. la garantía
no cubre los daños causados por un uso indebido o por
causas ajenas a J.P. SELECTA, s.a.

CLEANING:
For the cleaning of the different parts use the following
products:

Cleaning of stainless steel: Alcohol
Cleaning of plastic: Alcohol with cotton duster.
Cleaning of pipes with lime: Solution of Hydrochloric
acid 50% and water 50%.

OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS:

Is advisable to change the water after 50 uses or once
a month.
From time to time revise the functioning of the safety
valve.
Annual revision of the whole function of the autoclave
by qualified personnel is advisable.

GUARANTEE

This product is guaranteed for one year. The guarantee
does not cover damage caused by incorrect use or
causes beyond the control of J.P. SELECTA,S.A.

Cualquier manipulación del aparato por personal no au­torizado por J.P. SELECTA, s.a., anula automáticamente
los beneficios de la garantía.

Any manipulation of the apparatus by personnel not
authorized by J.P. SELECTA,S.A. automatically
cancels the guarantee.
