SLIDE-UP DOOR

Because saving space is important, the Essential features a durable
slide-up door, so there’s no need to plan placement around right- or
left-opening doors.

To make the most of every trip, a large access area promotes ease of
use. Plus, a large, dishwasher safe scoop comes standard.

INTUITIVE CONTROL PANEL

We’ve kept things simple. Our intuitive control panel features a
prominent On/Off/Clean switch and easy-to-see buttons for adjusting
ice thickness and harvest time.

QUALITY ICE

What do ice lovers want to see in an ice cube? Nothing. That’s why the
Essential delivers cubes in one color and one color only: Clear. Made with
our innovative horizontal evaporator, the Essential doesn’t let minerals
freeze in cubes, because spray jets help to keep them washed away. So
from your first scoop to your last, you’re ensured perfect cubes.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

When you’ve been making ice machines as long as Scotsman, better is in
your DNA. That’s why all of our machines are designed responsibly to lead
to lower energy costs. All applicable models already meet upcoming 2018
DOE Energy Efficiency Regulations. Plus, the Essential uses R-134a
refrigerant, which does not deplete the ozone layer. And recyclable
aluminum alloy side panels offer the same durability and corrosion
resistance as stainless while improving long-term sustainability.
