The contents of these menu items are described in this chapter.
Changes are activated after: 1) the save button is pressed, 2) the SERVICE card is removed, and 3) the software is automatically reloaded during startup.

The pre-infusion water quantity is absorbed by the pressed ground coffee. For this procedure, a resting time must be set in the "210 Delay pre-infuse" parameter.

211) Chamber opening time To open the brewing chamber:
The lower piston moves downward. This gives the ground coffee more room, reducing the water resistance in the chamber.
Low setting of 10-30 mmsec:

High setting of 100-200 mmsec:
Used for large coffees to prevent overextraction.

Turn the adjusting screw (A) using a
screwdriver until the LED (B) lights up green.
The milk level is set.
Capacitive milk sensor:
www.schaerer.comSystem
The sensor is located on the right side of the cooling unit and is accessible after removal of the metal cover (C) and the additional foam insulation. The sensor does not have an electronic setting.
To set the "Ultrasound" milk sensor manually:
Switch on the "16 Milk level sensor" pa-
rameter. The "19 Milk level detection" parame-
ter is now available under the "General Parameters".
Fill the milk container with milk or water to

See "Configuration" -"Date/time/alarm" Telemetry.
22) Eco Mode The boilers automatically switch into temperature reduction mode after a fixed time following dispensing of the last beverage. The boiler temperatures are reduced to 40°C.
The first temperature reduction takes place 20 min after the last beverage was dispensed or 20 min after the machine was switched on.
Procedures in "Eco Mode":
If a coffee beverage is selected, the re-
quired boiler water is heated first before the beverage is dispensed.
If a beverage with hot water is selected,
the boiler water is heated and a warning signal sounds before the hot water is dispensed.
If a beverage with steam is selected, the
steam boiler is heated. The previous beverage selection is reset. When the steam temperature is reached, a warning signal sounds. The beverage needs to be selected again.
On/off The standard setting is

Water drainage

The name of the "Water drainage" system parameter is misleading because this parameter, which is described below, is not used to drain the water system. To actually drain the water from the entire system, Schaerer technical support must be contacted.
The "Water drainage" system parameter is used to cool the water system of the machine. In addition, the machine is depressurised if the correct order was maintained.
See "Programming" - "Access".
Select the "Test / calibration" system parameter.
Select the "Water drainage" submenu.

Drainage (flooding) starts with a countdown starting at 4 min. After 2 min., the [OK] field appears to make it possible to prematurely cancel the pro-
cedure.
