Maintenance
• Scheduled cleanings are highly recommended to avoid troublesome operation caused by paper dust and adhesive residue
• Clean print head with a soft, dry toothbrush
• Do not use lubricants or detergents to clean your Handheld Labeler
• Do not re-ink used ink roller
• Do not place the tool, label or ink roller in a high humidity environment or above 40°C/104°F
Troubleshooting
Labels are not properly fed
Squeeze the trigger rmly and completely
• Re-load labels according to the instructions in this guide
Conrm that you are using genuine SATO labels
• Be sure the tools have been properly maintained
• Check to see if the labels are damp
No print appears on the labels
• Use a new ink roller
• Squeeze the tool handle lever completely to print a label
Use genuine SATO ink rollers
Push pointer back rmly to it’s original positon
There are dots and dust spots on labels
• Clean the application roller and printhead to remove any stray ink and dust

Handheld Labeling Solutions
Open the Label Roll Door.1Lift the marked tab of the tool’s
door to open the bottom of
the tool.

After opening the door, gently
lift the pressure plate and pull to
open up the entire tool.

Take the roll of labels and
remove one round, eliminating any glue, simplifying the loading
process.

Drop the labels down the center of the tool, gently feeding the end through until it slides out the
bottom.

After securing the roll of labels
onto the spindle and placing the guide on top of the roll of
labels, close the label roll door.

Flip the tool upside down. Align
the labels within the guide and
tightly close the pressure plate.

Pull the labels back, aligning the
label’s tab with the reel’s knob.
Close the door on the bottom of
the tool. It is now ready to use.

Loading Label Rolls
Pull the ink roller
assembly up.

While supporting the ink roller assembly with one hand, gently slide the ink
roller off to the side.

Take the fresh ink
roller and slide it
onto the assembly.

Gently release the assembly allowing it to spring back
into place. The tool is now ready to use.

Replacing Ink Roller
Pull the pointer in or out as required and rotate to select
print character.

Push the pointer back to its
original position.
