MORE INFORMATION
- Do not use your set immediately after transport from a cold place to a warm place,
there may be condensation problems.
- Make sure that you keep your set away from water and high temperatures.
Clean the player with a soft cloth, or a damp chamois leather. Never use solvents.
NOTES ON COMPACT DISCS
- If there is a scratch, dirt or fingerprints on the disc, it may cause tracking error. Before
playing, clean the disc with a cleaning cloth. Wipe the disc from the center out. Don't
store discs in places with high temperatures or high humidity - they can become
warped. After playing, store the disc in its case.

RANDOM (11): Press to play randomly all the tracks of the disc.
The play/pause & Random indicator (22&15) will light up and will
start to play.
Press stop button (10) to stop disc and switch off this function.
REPEAT (12): A single track or the whole CD can be repeated as many times as you
like.
Press once to repeat your selected track. The repeat indicator (21)
blinks.
Press twice to play the disc continuously. The repeat indicator (21) light
up.
Press again to switch off this function.
PROGRAM (13): To set your own musical program.
1. Insert the disc (2 & 3). The total number of tracks is displayed
(23).
2. Press PROGRAM (13), the program indicator (14) blinks &
display “0” will light up.
3. Select with or (18 & 17) your desired track, then press
PROGRAM (13) to store your program in memory.
Redo this operation as many times as necessary. 20 tracks can be
memorized.
4. Press (19) to start playing program mode the program
indicator (14) will blinks & the play/pause indicator (22) will light
up.
5. Press stop (10) to stop the disc, Program indicator (14) will go
off.
NOTE
˙Do not use irregular shape CDs (example: heart-shaped, octagonal ones). It may result
in malfunctions.
˙Do not place more than one disc in the disc compartment.
˙Do not try to open the disc compartment during play.
˙Do not touch the lens. Doing so may causes malfunction.
CD-Rs or CD-RWs playback capability at this player may very depending on quality of
media, CD-Burner, speed of burning and application software.
GENERAL
To turn off the unit, set function is OFF.
To listen with the headphones, connect headphones with a stereo mini plug to the
PHONES jack, and the speaker sound will cut off automatically.
If an erroneous display or malfunction occurs, disconnect the AC cord and remove all
the batteries to turn off the display. Then turn the power back on.

Headphones socket
Headphones socket “PHONES” (24) for headphones with 16-32 Ohm impedance
(3.5mm jack). Use corresponding adaptors (specialist shops) if you have different plugs.
The speakers are automatically switched off when the headphones are being used.
CAUTION:
Listening at high power for a long moment could damage users’ ears.
OPERATING INSTRUCTION
LISTENING TO THE RADIO
1. Switch the function switch (7) to RADIO position.
2. Select AM / FM ST. / FM by switching the band switch (6).
3. Select your radio station by turning the tuning knob (5) and adjust the volume knob (8)
to your desired sound level.
For best reception:
FM: Extend and rotate the antenna (1). When in stereo mode and the stereo broadcast
is received, FM stereo indicator (16) lights up.
AM: This unit is equipped with a built-in directional ferrite antenna, move and rotate
the unit.
4. To stop listening to the radio, switch (7) to OFF position.
LISTENING TO CD
1. Switch (7) to CD position. The display (23) will show “─ ─”.
2. Insert the disc (Label side up) in the CD compartment (2&3), the total number of
tracks is displayed (23).
3. Press (19) to start playing and the play/pause indicator (22) will light up and
adjust the volume level (8).
NOTE : Use also this knob to suspend momentarily the playing track. The play/pause
indicator (22) blinks Press (19) once again to resume play.
4. Press (10) to stop listening to the disc.
OTHER CD PLAYER FUNCTIONS
REV. / FWD. (18&17): Press to skip forward to the next track or repeatedly to
skip several tracks.
Press return to the beginning of the track, or press repeatedly to skip backwards
several tracks. Press and hold or to search quickly within a track.

POWER SUPPLY
This set operates on AC (110 ~ 60Hz) or DC (12 V ).
AC OPERATION : Connect at the back of the unit (25) the AC power cord provided,
before to insert into a convenient standard AC outlet.
IMPORTANT
Make sure that function is set to OFF before connecting the AC cord or inserting
batteries
USING ON batteries
Open the lid of the battery compartment on the rear and insert eight (size C) batteries not
supplied, with the + and – marks correctly aligned, then close the lid.
To switch from AC power supply to battery power supply, disconnect the AC cord from
the AC inlet, then disconnect main unit.
The batteries need to be replaced when:
The volume decreases, or sound is distorted during operation.

˙Do not mix different types of batteries or old batteries with new ones.
˙Never recharge the batteries, apply heat to them or take them apart.
NOTE: In order to avoid leakage, always remove the batteries when unit will not be used
for a long period of time.

1 Power sources-Use on batteries or AC house current, as specified in the Operating
instructions and marked on the unit.
2 AC power cord
-When disconnecting the AC power cord, pull it out by the AC power plug. Do not pull
the cord itself.
-Never handle the AC power plug with wet hands, as this could result in fire or shock.
-Power cords should be firmly secured to avoid being bent, pinched, or walked upon.
Pay particular attention to the cord from the unit to the power socket.
-Avoid overloading AC power plug and extension cords, beyond their capacity, as this
could result in fire or shock.
3 When not in use-Unplug the AC power cord from the AC outlet or remove all the
batteries if the unit will not be used for several months or more. When the cord is
plugged in a small amount of current continues to flow to the unit, even when the power
is turned off.

二、電源供給
‧打開底部電池蓋,依標示極性,正確放入 2 號電池 8 只後,再裝妥電池蓋;亦可
不使用電池,將隨附之 AC 電源線一端接於本機的 AC 電源插座(AC~)上,另一
端則接至 AC 110V 電源插座。※本機之 AC 電源線僅適用於 AC 110V 電壓。
10.按曲目編輯鍵(PROGRAM),再 按 CD 放音/暫停鍵(PLAY /PAUSE),可恢
復編輯曲序的放音。
※曲目編輯中,一旦按 CD 停止鍵(STOP)、打開 CD 匣門、切換收音機功能
或關閉電源時,編輯的曲序即取消。
E.重覆放音(本功能亦適用於編輯曲序的放音)
1.按重覆放音鍵(REPEAT),重覆放音指示燈(REPEAT)閃爍,會不斷重覆播放目
前所在的曲目。
2.再按一次重覆放音鍵(REPEAT),重覆放音指示燈(REPEAT)停止閃爍,則不斷
重覆播放 CD 光碟片上所有的曲目。

3.再按一次重覆放音鍵(REPEAT),重覆放音指示燈(REPEAT)熄滅,即取消重覆
放音模式。
※一旦按 CD 停止鍵(STOP)、打開 CD 匣門、切換收音機功能或關閉電源時,
重覆放音功能即取消。
F. 隨機選曲放音:本功能不依 CD 光碟片的曲目順序放音,而以隨機跳播方式播放。
1.停止放音中按隨機選曲放音鍵(RANDOM),隨機選曲放音指示燈(RANDOM)
及 CD 放音/暫停指示燈(PLAY/PAUSE)皆亮,即開始放音,所有的曲目將不依
原光碟片順序播放,而以隨機選曲的方式放音。
2.放音中按 CD 停止鍵(STOP),隨機選曲放音指示燈(RANDOM)及 CD 放音/
暫停指示燈(PLAY/PAUSE)皆熄滅,即取消隨機選曲放音。
※隨機選曲放音中,按 CD 停止鍵(STOP)即可取消隨機選曲放音功能,如按
隨機選曲放音鍵(RANDOM),則無法取消隨機選曲放音功能。
