Εισαγωγή

Το Samsung Universal Print Driver είναι ένα πρόγραμμα οδήγησης που μπορεί να
χρησιμοποιηθεί με διαφορετικά μοντέλα εκτυπωτών. Αυτό δίνει στους χρήστες άμεση πρόσβαση
όχι μόνο σε συσκευές εκτύπωσης Samsung αλλά και σε μια σειρά συσκευών άλλων
κατασκευαστών που βασίζονται στο PDL χωρίς να είναι απαραίτητη η λήψη ξεχωριστών
προγραμμάτων οδήγησης.

• Το PDL σημαίνει τόσο PCL όσο και PS.

• Η Samsung δεν εγγυάται την ποιότητα συσκευών εκτύπωσης άλλων κατασκευαστών και μοντέλων Samsung

που δεν υποστηρίζονται (Κάντε κλικ για να δείτε τη λίστα συσκευών Samsung που υποστηρίζονται). Για
μοντέλα Samsung που δεν υποστηρίζονται, το πρόγραμμα οδήγησης ορίζεται αυτόματα σε προεπιλεγμένο PDL

που μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί.

Εγκατάσταση και κατάργηση εγκατάστασης του Samsung Universal Print Driver

Στο κεφάλαιο αυτό δίνονται βήμα προς βήμα οδηγίες για την εγκατάσταση και την κατάργηση της
εγκατάστασης του Samsung Universal Print Driver.

Τα παρακάτω παράθυρα ισχύουν για πρόγραμμα οδήγησης PCL σε Windows XP. Τα παράθυρα μπορεί να είναι
διαφορετικά για πρόγραμμα οδήγησης PS, όμως τα βήματα είναι ίδια.

Εγκατάσταση του Samsung Universal Print Driver

Πριν από την εγκατάσταση του προγράμματος οδήγησης, ελέγξτε τις προτεινόμενες ελάχιστες απαιτήσεις συστήματος
(Ανατρέξτε στο “Απαιτήσεις συστήματος” στη σελίδα 4).

1. Εκκινήστε ένα πρόγραμμα περιήγησης ιστού και μεταβείτε στη διεύθυνση www.samsung.com.

2. Πραγματοποιήστε αναζήτηση για το αρχείο ρύθμισης του Samsung Universal Print Driver.

3. Εκκινήστε το αρχείο ρύθμισης.

Ανοίγει ο Οδηγός εγκατάστασης του Samsung Universal Print Driver.

4. Πατήστε το κουμπί Επόμενο. Αν χρειαστεί, επιλέξτε μια γλώσσα από την αναπτυσσόμενη λίστα.

Αφού ανοίξει το παράθυρο εγκατάστασης, περιμένετε μέχρι να ολοκληρωθεί η εγκατάσταση.

5. Όταν ανοίξει το παράθυρο “Η εγκατάσταση ολοκληρώθηκε”, κάντε κλικ στο κουμπί Τέλος.
Εάν επιθυμείτε να εγγραφείτε ως χρήστης συσκευών Samsung, ώστε να ενημερώνεστε από τη Samsung,

ενεργοποιήστε το πλαίσιο ελέγχου και κάντε κλικ στο κουμπί Τέλος.

Εάν η εγκατάσταση του προγράμματος οδήγησης έχει γίνει σωστά, θα μπορείτε να βρείτε το Samsung Universal Print
Driver στον φάκελο Εκτυπωτές και φαξ.

Κατάργηση εγκατάστασης του Samsung Universal Print Driver

Εάν θέλετε να καταργήσετε την εγκατάσταση του Samsung Universal Print Driver, ακολουθήστε τα παρακάτω βήματα:

1. Από το μενού “Έναρξη” των Windows, επιλέξτε > Όλα τα προγράμματα > Samsung Universal Print Driver >
Συντήρηση.

Ανοίγει ο Οδηγός εγκατάστασης του Samsung Universal Print Driver.

2. Επιλέξτε Κατάργηση και κάντε κλικ στο κουμπί Επόμενο.

3. Επιλέξτε τα στοιχεία που θέλετε να καταργήσετε και κάντε κλικ στο κουμπί Επόμενο.

4. Όταν εμφανιστεί ένα παράθυρο επιβεβαίωσης, κάντε κλικ στο Όχι.

5. Όταν ολοκληρωθεί η κατάργηση της εγκατάστασης, κάντε κλικ στο κουμπί Τέλος.

Χρήση του Samsung Universal Print Driver

Ο κύριος σκοπός του Samsung Universal Print Driver είναι η εγκατάσταση ενός προγράμματος
οδήγησης (Samsung Universal Print Driver) και η χρήση του με διαφορετικές συσκευές
εκτύπωσης. Παρ’ όλα αυτά, το Samsung Universal Print Driver διαθέτει και άλλες λειτουργίες,
όπως αναζήτηση συσκευών εκτύπωσης, δημιουργία φακέλου αγαπημένων και έλεγχος
κατάστασης συσκευής.

Πρόσβαση στο Samsung Universal Print Driver

1. Από το μενού Έναρξη των Windows, επιλέξτε Εκτυπωτές και φαξ.

2. Κάντε δεξί κλικ στο Samsung Universal Print Driver.

3. Πατήστε Προτιμήσεις εκτύπωσης ή Ιδιότητες.

Ανοίγει το παράθυρο Samsung Universal Print Driver.

Αν δεν υπάρχει πρόσφατα χρησιμοποιημένος εκτυπωτής, εμφανίζεται ένα αναδυόμενο παράθυρο που σας ζητά να
πραγματοποιήσετε αναζήτηση εκτυπωτών. Κάντε κλικ στην επιλογή OK για αναζήτηση συνδεδεμένων εκτυπωτών.

Επισκόπηση διάταξης

Γραμμή διάταξης Περιλαμβάνει επιλογές προβολής.

• : Επιλέγει τη διάταξη του παραθύρου Samsung Universal Print Driver.

Αν επιλέξετε Διάταξη2 και έχετε εγκαταστήσει το πρόγραμμα Samsung Smart

Panel μπορείτε να δείτε το παράθυρο κατάστασης(αριθμός 4).

• : Ανανεώνει όλες τις πληροφορίες εκτυπωτή στη λίστα.

• : Επιλέγει τον τύπο προβολής από τη λίστα εκτυπωτών. Η Προβολή

λεπτομερειών εμφανίζει πληροφορίες εκτυπωτή, όπως

Κατάσταση και Όνομα συστήματος. Η Προβολή εικόνων εμφανίζει επίσης
πληροφορίες εκτυπωτή, αλλά με μεγαλύτερη εικόνα εκτυπωτή. Αυτή η επιλογή
υποστηρίζεται μόνο σε Windows XP(και νεότερα).

• : Εμφανίζει τη λίστα εκτυπωτών σε ομάδες. Για να τοποθετήσετε τους

εκτυπωτές σε ομάδες, πατήστε αυτό το κουμπί. Αυτή η επιλογή υποστηρίζεται
μόνο σε Windows XP(

• : Αναζητά έναν εκτυπωτή στη λίστα με βάση μια λέξη-κλειδί, όπως

όνομα μοντέλου.

• : Ανοίγει το παράθυρο βοήθειας.

• : Εμφανίζει πληροφορίες σχετικά με το Samsung Universal Print Driver.

- Πρόσφατοι εκτυπωτές: Εμφανίζει τη λίστα πρόσφατα χρησιμοποιημένων

εκτυπωτών. Ο πιο πρόσφατα χρησιμοποιημένος εκτυπωτής βρίσκεται στην
κορυφή της λίστας.

- Εκτ. πρόσφατης αναζήτησης: Εμφανίζει τη λίστα των εκτυπωτών που

έχουν βρεθεί πρόσφατα. Ο εκτυπωτής που έχει βρεθεί πιο πρόσφατα

βρίσκεται στην κορυφή της λίστας.

• Αναζήτηση

- Αναζήτηση τώρα:

Αναζητά εκτυπωτές που είναι συνδεδεμένοι είτε μέσω

USB είτε μέσω δικτύου.

- Αναζήτηση βάσει διεύθυνσης: Αναζητά έναν εκτυπωτή με βάση τη

διεύθυνση IP του εκτυπωτή.

• Ο εκτυπωτής μου

- Δημιουργία φακ. Αγαπημένων: Δημιουργεί έναν φάκελο για αγαπημένους

εκτυπωτές.

• Ρυθμίσεις: Εμφανίζει επιλογές για αναδυόμενα και αναζητήσεις.

Λίστα εκτυπωτών

Εμφανίζει τη λίστα εκτυπωτών. Όταν πατηθεί το κουμπί στη γραμμή διάταξης,
μπορείτε να τοποθετήσετε τους εκτυπωτές σε ομάδες. Κάντε δεξί κλικ στην περιοχή
της λίστας εκτύπωσης. Διαλέξτε μία από τις επιλογές διάταξης ομάδας.

• Σε σύνδεση/Άγνωστο: Δημιουργεί μια ομάδα ανάλογα με την τρέχουσα

κατάσταση των συσκευών.

• Ημερομηνία: Δημιουργεί

μια ομάδα ανάλογα με την ημερομηνία τελευταίας

χρήσης του εκτυπωτή, για παράδειγμα σήμερα, χθες, αυτή την εβδομάδα, αυτόν
το μήνα κ.τ.λ.

• Έγχρωμη/Ασπρόμαυρη: Δημιουργεί μια ομάδα ανάλογα με τον τύπο του

μηχανήματος: έγχρωμος εκτυπωτής ή εκτυπωτής σε κλίμακα του γκρι.

• Δύο όψεων/Μίας όψης: Δημιουργεί μια ομάδα

ανάλογα με το αν το μηχάνημα

διαθέτει τη λειτουργία διπλής όψης ή όχι.

Παράθυρο κατάστασης Εμφανίζει την κατάσταση του επιλεγμένου εκτυπωτή στη λίστα. Πρέπει να επιλέξετε

τη Διάταξη2 και να εγκαταστήσετε το πρόγραμμα Samsung Smart Panel για να δείτε
αυτό το παράθυρο.

• Ενημέρωση τώρα: Ενημερώνει τις επιλεγμένες πληροφορίες εκτυπωτή.

• Αγορά αναλώσιμων: Ανοίγει την τοποθεσία web για αγορά αναλώσιμων.

• Οδηγός επίλυσης προβλημάτων: Ανοίγει το κεφάλαιο επίλυσης

προβλημάτων

του οδηγού χρήσης. Πρέπει να εγκαταστήσετε το πρόγραμμα
Smart Panel του μοντέλου που χρησιμοποιείτε για να δείτε τον οδηγό επίλυσης
προβλημάτων.

• Ρυθμίσεις εκτυπωτή: Ανοίγει το πρόγραμμα SyncThru Web Service, το οποίο

παρέχει επιλογές για ρύθμιση παραμέτρων και διαχείριση του εκτυπωτή σας.
Μπορείτε να χρησιμοποιήσετε αυτή την επιλογή μόνο για εκτυπωτές δικτύου.

Αλλαγή ρυθμίσεων του Samsung Universal Print Driver

Ρύθμιση της επιλογής αναδυόμενων

Μπορείτε να ορίσετε το παράθυρο Samsung Universal Print Driver να εμφανίζεται όταν εκτυπώνετε. Υπάρχουν τέσσερις
επιλογές για την ανάδυση αυτού του παραθύρου:

1. Κάντε κλικ στο κουμπί Ρυθμίσεις στην κάτω αριστερή γωνία.

2. Δείτε τις επιλογές της καρτέλας Αναδυόμενο παράθυρο παρακάτω:

• Μόνο όταν δεν είναι διαθέσιμος ο εκτυπωτής που χρησιμοποιήθηκε τελευταίος: Το παράθυρο Samsung

Universal Print Driver εμφανίζεται μόνο όταν δεν είναι διαθέσιμος ο εκτυπωτής που χρησιμοποιήθηκε τελευταία.

• Όταν εμφανίζεται το περιβάλλον χρήσης του προγράμματος οδήγησης: Το παράθυρο Samsung Universal

Print Driver εμφανίζεται όταν ανοίγετε ένα παράθυρο Προτιμήσεις εκτύπωσης (Ιδιότητες).

• Κάθε φορά που εκτυπώνετε: Το παράθυρο Samsung Universal Print Driver εμφανίζεται κάθε φορά που

εκτυπώνετε.

• Μόνο την πρώτη φορά που εκτυπώνετε: Το παράθυρο Samsung Universal Print Driver εμφανίζεται μόνο την

πρώτη φορά όταν επιλέξετε από μία εφαρμογή ως εκτυπωτή το Samsung Universal Print Driver.

3. Κάντε κλικ στην επιλογή OK.

Ρύθμιση της επιλογής αναζήτησης εκτυπωτή

Για να ορίσετε τις επιλογές αναζήτησης για το Samsung Universal Print Driver, ακολουθήστε τα παρακάτω βήματα:

1. Κάντε κλικ στο κουμπί Ρυθμίσεις στην κάτω αριστερή γωνία.

2. Δείτε την καρτέλα Επιλογές αναζήτησης παρακάτω:

• Αναζήτηση εκτυπωτών Samsung: Αναζητά μόνο εκτυπωτές Samsung που είναι συνδεδεμένοι.

Κάντε κλικ για να δείτε τη λίστα υποστηριζόμενων συσκευών Samsung.

• Αναζήτηση όλων των εκτυπωτών:

Αναζητά όλους τους συνδεδεμένους εκτυπωτές.

3. Κάντε κλικ στην επιλογή OK.

Αναζήτηση τώρα

Εάν δεν γνωρίζετε τη διεύθυνση TCP/IP της συσκευής εκτύπωσης που θέλετε να χρησιμοποιήσετε, μπορείτε να
χρησιμοποιήσετε την επιλογή Αναζήτηση τώρα για να αναζητήσετε τη συσκευή. Ακολουθήστε τα παρακάτω βήματα:

1. Από το μενού Έναρξη των Windows, επιλέξτε Εκτυπωτές και φαξ.

2. Κάντε δεξί κλικ στο Samsung Universal Print Driver.

3. Πατήστε Προτιμήσεις εκτύπωσης ή Ιδιότητες.

Ανοίγει το παράθυρο Samsung Universal Print Driver.

4. Κάντε κλικ στην επιλογή Αναζήτηση τώρα.
Το Samsung Universal Print Driver αναζητά τις συνδεδεμένες συσκευές εκτύπωσης.

CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOST PROFITS), HOWEVER CAUSED AND
ON ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR TORT (INCLUDING
NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE) ARISING IN ANY WAY OUT OF THE USE OR DISTRIBUTION OF THE
PROGRAM OR THE EXERCISE OF ANY RIGHTS GRANTED HEREUNDER, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE
POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

7. GENERAL
If any provision of this Agreement is invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, it shall not affect the validity or

enforceability of the remainder of the terms of this Agreement, and without further action by the parties hereto, such
provision shall be reformed to the minimum extent necessary to make such provision valid and enforceable. If
Recipient institutes patent litigation against a Contributor with respect to a patent applicable to software (including a
cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit), then any patent licenses granted by that Contributor to such Recipient under
this Agreement shall terminate as of the date such litigation is filed. In addition, if Recipient institutes patent litigation
against any entity (including a cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that the Program itself (excluding
combinations of the Program with other software or hardware) infringes such Recipient's patent(s), then such
Recipient's rights granted under Section 2(b) shall terminate as of the date such litigation is filed. All Recipient's rights
under this Agreement shall terminate if it fails to comply with any of the material terms or conditions of this Agreement
and does not cure such failure in a reasonable period of time after becoming aware of such noncompliance. If all
Recipient's rights under this Agreement terminate, Recipient agrees to cease use and distribution of the Program as
soon as reasonably practicable. However, Recipient's obligations under this Agreement and any licenses granted by
Recipient relating to the Program shall continue and survive. Everyone is permitted to copy and distribute copies of this
Agreement, but in order to avoid inconsistency the Agreement is copyrighted and may only be modified in the following
manner. The Agreement Steward reserves the right to publish new versions (including revisions) of this Agreement
from time to time. No one other than the Agreement Steward has the right to modify this Agreement. IBM is the initial
Agreement Steward. IBM may assign the responsibility to serve as the Agreement Steward to a suitable separate
entity. Each new version of the Agreement will be given a distinguishing version number. The Program (including
Contributions) may always be distributed subject to the version of the Agreement under which it was received. In
addition, after a new version of the Agreement is published, Contributor may elect to distribute the Program (including
its Contributions) under the new version. Except as expressly stated in Sections 2(a) and 2(b) above, Recipient
receives no rights or licenses to the intellectual property of any Contributor under this Agreement, whether expressly,

by implication, estoppel or otherwise. All rights in the Program not expressly granted under this Agreement are
reserved. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of New York and the intellectual property laws of the
United States of America. No party to this Agreement will bring a legal action under this Agreement more than one year
after the cause of action arose. Each party waives its rights to a jury trial in any resulting litigation.
