Package Contents
The cutout adapter kit includes:
• cutout adapter plate with gasket and ball bearing spacers
• 18 #10-32 nuts with flat washers for 1500 keypad
• 12 #10-32 nuts with flat washers for 1500 touch
Tools Required
These tools are required for installation:
• socket driver with 3/8 inch socket
• slot or Phillips screwdriver
• torque wrench capable of 10 lb-in
Disconnect Power to the Terminal
1. Disconnect power at the source and remove the power cord from the
PanelView terminal.
2. Disconnect all communication cables from the terminal.
ATTENTION
Make sure the power cord of the PanelView terminal is disconnected and that
all cables have been disconnected from the terminal.
Remove the Existing Terminal
1. Remove the nuts and washers that secure the terminal in the panel and save
them for the adapter plate installation.
2. Slide the existing terminal out from panel.

Attach the Adapter Plate to the Panel
1. Align the studs on the cutout adapter plate with the existing stud holes on
the front of the panel.
2. Place the adapter plate into the front of the panel cutout until the sealing
gasket material is firmly against the front of the panel.

3. Using nuts with flat washers, fasten the cutout plate onto the studs until the
sealing gasket is slightly compressed against the front of the panel.
4. Using the torque wrench, tighten the nuts to not more than 1.92 Nm (17
lb-in) to maintain a NEMA Type 4X rating.
Do not overtighten.

Attach Terminal to the Adapter Plate
1. Insert the new terminal into the front of the enclosure until the terminal
gasket is flush with the adapter plate.
2. Install the 8 mounting clips (2 top, 2 bottom, 2 on each side).
The ends of the mounting clips slide into the slots on the terminal. The top
or bottom clips tighten directly to the adapter plate.

3. Tighten the screws on the mounting clips by hand until the gasket seal
contacts the mounting surface uniformly.
4. Using the torque wrench, tighten the screws on the mounting clips to the
proper torque rating provided in the installation instructions for the new
terminal.
This is necessary to maintain a NEMA Type 4X rating. Do not overtighten.
ATTENTION Tighten the mounting clips to the specified torque to provide a proper seal and
to prevent potential damage to the product. Allen-Bradley assumes no
responsibility for water or chemical damage to the product or other equipment
within the enclosure because of improper installation.

Contenu du kit
Le kit d’adaptation contient les éléments suivants :
• plaque d’adaptation pour découpe avec joint d’étanchéité et espaceurs à
roulement à billes ;
• 18 écrous n° 10-32 avec rondelles plates pour les terminaux 1500 à clavier ;
• 12 écrous n° 10-32 avec rondelles plates pour les terminaux 1500 à dalle
tactile.
Outils nécessaires
Vous aurez besoin des outils suivants pour monter la plaque d’adaptation :
• une clé à douille avec douille de 3/8 pouce ;
• un tournevis plat ou cruciforme ;
• une clé dynamométrique.
Déconnexion du terminal
1. Déconnectez l’alimentation à la source et débranchez le cordon
d’alimentation du terminal PanelView.
2. Déconnectez tous les câbles de communication du terminal.
ATTENTION
Assurez-vous que le cordon d’alimentation du terminal PanelView est
déconnecté et que tous les autres câbles sont déconnectés du terminal.
Retrait du terminal existant
1. Retirez les écrous et les rondelles qui maintiennent le terminal sur le
panneau et mettez-les de côté : vous les réutiliserez pour installer la plaque
d’adaptation.
2. Retirez le terminal du panneau.

Fixation de la plaque d’adaptation sur le panneau
1. Alignez les goujons de la plaque d’adaptation sur les trous existants sur le
panneau.
2. Placez la plaque d’adaptation dans la découpe du panneau jusqu’à ce que le
joint soit bien positionné contre l’avant du panneau.

3. Fixez la plaque d’adaptation sur les goujons à l’aide des écrous et des
rondelles plates en les serrant jusqu’à ce que le joint d’étanchéité soit

4. Utilisez la clé dynamométrique pour serrer les écrous avec un couple de
serrage d’1,92 Nm maximum pour rester conforme à la classification NEMA

Fixation du terminal sur la plaque d’adaptation
1. Insérez le nouveau terminal dans l’ouverture de manière à ce que son joint
affleure la plaque d’adaptation.
2. Installez les 8 colliers de fixation (2 en haut, 2 en bas et 2 de chaque côté).
Les extrémités des colliers de fixation s’insèrent dans les encoches situées
sur le terminal. Les colliers supérieurs et inférieurs se serrent directement sur
la plaque d’adaptation.

3. Serrez les vis des colliers de fixation à la main jusqu’à ce que le joint soit
positionné uniformément sur la surface de montage.
4. Utilisez la clé dynamométrique pour serrer les vis sur les colliers de fixation,
en respectant le couple de serrage indiqué dans la notice d’installation du
terminal.
Le couple de serrage doit être respecté pour conserver une classification
NEMA type 4X. Veillez à ne pas trop les serrer.

Serrez les colliers de fixation avec le couple de serrage qui convient pour
assurer une bonne étanchéité et éviter d’endommager le terminal.

Lieferumfang
Das Ausschnittadapter-Kit enthält:
• Ausschnittadapterplatte mit Dichtung und Distanzblöcken mit Kugellager
• 18 Muttern #10–32 mit Unterlegscheiben für 1500 Tastatur
• 12 Muttern #10–32 mit Unterlegscheiben für 1500 Touchscreen
Erforderliche Werkzeuge
Folgende Werkzeuge werden für die Installation benötigt:
• Steckschlüssel mit 3/8-Zoll-Einsatz
• Schlitz- oder Kreuzschlitz-Schraubendreher
• Drehmomentschlüssel für 1,13 Nm
Abklemmen des Terminals
1. Unterbrechen Sie die Stromversorgung an der Quelle und ziehen Sie das
Netzkabel vom PanelView-Terminal ab.
2. Ziehen Sie alle Kommunikationskabel vom Terminal ab.
ACHTUNG
Vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Netzkabel sowie alle anderen Kabel vom
PanelView-Terminal abgezogen sind.
Ausbau eines vorhandenen Terminals
1. Entfernen Sie alle Muttern und Unterlegscheiben, mit denen das Terminal im
Schaltschrank gesichert ist, und bewahren Sie diese für den Einbau der
Adapterplatte auf.
2. Ziehen Sie das vorhandene Terminal aus dem Schaltschrank.

Befestigen der Adapterplatte am Schaltschrank
1. Richten Sie die Stifte an der Ausschnittadapterplatte an den vorhandenen
Befestigungslöchern an der Vorderseite des Schaltschranks aus.
2. Setzen Sie die Adapterplatte von vorn auf den Schaltschrankausschnitt auf,
sodass die Dichtung gleichmäßig an der Vorderseite des Schaltschranks
anliegt.

3. Befestigen Sie die Ausschnittplatte unter Verwendung der Muttern und
Unterlegscheiben so auf den Stiften, dass die Dichtung leicht gegen die
Vorderseite des Schaltschranks gepresst wird.
4. Ziehen Sie die Muttern mit Hilfe des Drehmomentschlüssels bis zu einem
maximalen Drehmoment von 1,92 Nm an; dies ist das für die
NEMA-Kategorie 4X vorgesehene Anziehdrehmoment.
Ziehen Sie die Schrauben nicht zu fest an.

Befestigen des Terminals an der Adapterplatte
1. Setzen Sie das neue Terminal an der Vorderseite des Gehäuses ein, bis die
Dichtung des Terminals bündig mit der Adapterplatte ist.
2. Bringen Sie die acht Montageklammern an (zwei oben, zwei unten und zwei
an jeder Seite).
Die Enden der Montageklammern werden in die Schlitze an dem Terminal
gesteckt. Die oberen und die unteren Klammern sind direkt mit der
Adapterplatte verbunden.

3. Ziehen Sie die Schrauben der Montageklammern von Hand an, bis die
Dichtung die Montagefläche überall gleichmäßig berührt.
4. Ziehen Sie die Schrauben der Montageklammern mit Hilfe des
Drehmomentschlüssels bis zu dem Drehmoment an, das in der
Installationsanleitung des neuen Terminals angegeben ist.
Dies ist für die Einhaltung der Anforderungen gemäß NEMA-Kategorie 4X
erforderlich. Ziehen Sie die Schrauben nicht zu fest an.

Ziehen Sie die Schrauben der Montageklammern mit dem korrekten

Contenido del paquete
El juego adaptador de corte incluye:

Herramientas requeridas

Acople el terminal a la placa adaptadora

Fissare il terminale alla cornice adattatrice
1. Inserire il nuovo terminale nel frontale della custodia fino a quando la
guarnizione del terminale risulta allineata con la cornice adattatrice.
2. Installare le 8 clip di montaggio (2 in alto, 2 in basso, 2 ai lati).
Le estremità delle clip di montaggio vanno ad inserirsi nelle fori del
terminale. Le clip superiori e quelle inferiori si avvitano direttamente alla
cornice.

3. Stringere a mano le viti delle clip di montaggio fino a quando la guarnizione
aderisce uniformemente alla superficie di montaggio.
4. Utilizzando la chiave dinamometrica, stringere le viti delle clip di montaggio
in base ai valori di coppia forniti nelle istruzioni per l'installazione del nuovo
terminale.
Ciò è necessario per mantenere il grado di protezione NEMA Tipo 4X. Non
stringere troppo.

O Kit de Adaptador de Corte inclui:
• placa do adaptador de corte com junta e espaçador de rolamento de esferas
• porcas 18 #10-32 com arruelas chatas para Teclado 1500
• porcas 12 #10-32 com arruelas chatas para Tela Touch 1500
Ferramentas Necessárias
As seguintes ferramentas são necessárias para a instalação:
• chave para soquete de 3/8 pol.
• chave de fenda ou Phillips
• chave de torque com capacidade de 10 pol/lbs
Desconexão do Terminal
1. Desconecte a alimentação na fonte e remova o fio de alimentação do
terminal do PanelView.
2. Desconecte todos os cabos de comunicação do terminal.
ADVERTÊNCIA
Certifique-se de que o fio de alimentação do terminal PanelView esteja
desconectado e que todos os cabos tenham sido desconectados do terminal.
Remoção do Terminal Existente
1. Remova as porcas e arruelas que fixam o terminal no painel e guarde-as
para a instalação da placa do adaptador.
2. Deslize o terminal existente para fora do painel.

Conexão da Placa do Adaptador ao Painel
1. Alinhe os pinos na placa do adaptador de corte com os furos dos pinos
existentes na parte frontal do painel.
2. Posicione a placa do adaptador na parte frontal do corte do painel, até que
o material da junta de vedação esteja firmemente encaixada na parte frontal
do painel.

3. Ao utilizar porcas com arruelas chatas, fixe a placa de corte nos pinos até
que a junta de vedação esteja levemente comprimida contra a parte frontal
do painel.
4. Ao utilizar a chave de torque, aperte as porcas não mais que 1,92 Nm
(17 pol/lbs) para manter uma classificação NEMA Tipo 4X.
Não aperte demais.

Conexão do Terminal à Placa do Adaptador
1. Insira o novo terminal na parte frontal do gabinete, até que a junta do
terminal esteja alinhada com a placa do adaptador.
2. Instale os 8 clips de montagem (2 superiores, 2 inferiores, 2 em cada lado).
As extremidades dos clips de montagem deslizam para as ranhuras no
terminal. Os clips superiores ou inferiores são fixados diretamente à placa
do adaptador.

3. Aperte manualmente os parafusos nos clips de montagem até que a junta de
vedação entre, de forma uniforme, em contato com a superfície de
montagem.
4. Ao utilizar a chave de torque, aperte os parafusos nos clips de montagem de
acordo com a classificação adequada de torque fornecida nas instruções de
instalação para o novo terminal.
Este procedimento é necessário para manter uma classificação NEMA Tipo
4X. Não aperte demais.

Aperte os clips de montagem de acordo com a classificação de torque correta
para criar uma vedação adequada e evitar possíveis danos ao terminal. A
