Turn Cal Station On

1. Press the “POWER” button on the cal

station.

2. Seat the 03 Series into the cal station

and close the cover. Then turn on the 03
Series by pressing the “POWER/MODE”
button on the gas monitor.

Confirm C.LIMIT

If the LCD display reads C.LIMIT,

press the AIR button on the gas monitor
to continue to CONN.

If C.LIMIT is not displayed continue to the
next step.

Instrument Connected

The display will show auto calibration value
and a transmit message. The gas monitor is
ready for a Bump Test or Calibration.

Bump Test

Press the “BUMP” button to start bump test.

Note: Ensure calibration gas cylinder is connected

to a demand flow regulator and then to the back
of the cal station. Make sure calibration gas

concentration matches value shown on display.

Bump Gas Reading

During Bump test, the display
shows current gas reading.

Bump Results

The BUMP LED will stop blinking and be
on steadily green if the bump test passed
or steadily red if the bump test failed.
Display will alternate between the gas con
centration and “P” for pass or “F” for fail.

Return to Transmit Screen

Press the “EDIT ENTER” button.
See step “E” below for turning off

CALIBRATION

Calibrate

Press the “CAL” button to start calibration.

Note: Ensure calibration gas cylinder is connected

to a demand flow regulator and then to the back
of the cal station. Make sure calibration gas

concentration matches value shown on display.

DATA TRANSFER

Calibration Gas Readings

During calibration, the display shows
current gas reading. Typical calibration
will take 1.5 minutes.

Once calibration is complete, the display will alternate between the gas concentration and “P” for
pass or “F” for fail. The “CAL” LED will be green if the calibration is passed. “CAL” LED will be red if
the calibration failed.

Calibration Results

After a successful bump test or calibration, the 03 Series will
automatically turn off within 15 seconds. To turn off manually,

press the “EDIT ENTER” and “POWER” buttons simultane
ously on the SDM-03 Calibration Station. Do not remove the

03 Series before turning it off, and do not use the 03 Series’s

power button to power it down.

Press tab at bottom of the SDM-03 cover to flip open cover
then remove the 03 Series.

Removing from SDM-03

Data Transfer To USB Flash Drive

With USB flash drive installed and unit powered on,

-

press and release the COPY button. The COPY LED will
become solid red while the records in the calibration

station’s memory are copied to the flash drive. In
addition, the flash drive’s LED will begin to blink.

When the LED stops blinking, the copy operation is
complete. Remove the flash drive from the USB port.

Transfer data to PC with Calibration Station software,

following the instructions in the Operator’s Manual.
