IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Warning: When the hot rollers are used in a bathroom, unplug them after use since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the hot rollers are switched off.
When using electrical appliances, especially when children are present, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING KEEP AWAY FROM WATER DANGER – As with most electrical appliances, electrical
parts are electrically live even when the switch is off.
To reduce the risk of death by electric shock:
• Always unplug it immediately after using.
• Do not place or store an appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a bath or sink.
• Do not use while bathing.
• Do not place or drop into water or other liquid.
• If an appliance falls into water, “unplug it” immediately. Do not reach into the water.
For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.

BASIC HAIR CARE INSTRUCTIONS
For optimal results, shampoo and condition your hair prior to styling. Dry your hair thoroughly before using your Pro Shine Hot Rollers and make sure that it is tangle free. The hot rollers are suitable for all types of hair although the length of time for which they should be kept in the hair will depend on individual hair types, and also the type of curl that you wish to achieve.
HOW TO USE YOUR REMINGTON® PRO SHINE HOT ROLLERS
Place the unit on a flat, hard, heat resistant surface. Plug the unit into a household (230/240V AC) power outlet. Switch power on. The on indicator light will illuminate. Allow the rollers to heat up with the lid closed, the rollers will be ready to use in about 10 minutes. When the rollers are ready to use, the ready to use dot indicator will change to light pink and the rollers will feel warm to the touch.
Each roller has an exclusive wax core that retains heat for longer, creating curls that last. The rollers are thermostatically controlled and cannot overheat.
Section the hair and make sure it is smooth and tangle free before beginning to style. Wrap a section of hair around the roller from the ends and keeping the hair taut, wind the roller up all the way to the roots or to mid length, depending on desired results.
Secure the roller in place with an appropriate size metal pin or easy to use clip. The pins and clips are colour coded by size and match the stay cool outer rim of the roller – white pins and clips are small to use on the small rollers, pink pins and clips are medium to use on the medium rollers and silver pins and clips are large to use on the large rollers. Place the pin or clip across the roller as close to the roots as possible.
Use the small size rollers for tight curls, the medium rollers for loose curls and the large rollers for volume and waves.
Because hair types vary from person to person, it is advised to perform a curl test on your hair to determine how long the rollers should be left in the hair. Usually after a short time of about 5 – 10 minutes, there will be a soft curl in the hair. The longer the time the rollers are left in your hair, the more curly the effect. If your hair curls easily it may need only a few minutes, but hard to curl hair may need 10 minutes or until the rollers have cooled.
If you wish to reuse the rollers, return them to the unit and wait until the ready dot indicator lightens (approximately 10 minutes).

Remove the rollers from your hair by gently unwinding. Wrap the curl around your finger and secure with a bobby pin and leave the hair to cool fully. When the curl has cooled remove the bobby pin. For a very curly look comb with your fingers and loosen curls. To create waves brush out with a soft brush.
Unplug the unit when you have finished styling your hair.
MAINTENANCE
Your appliance is designed for household use and is virtually maintenance free. If cleaning becomes necessary, disconnect the appliance from the power source and wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.
STORAGE
When not in use, unplug the unit. Allow it to cool and store out of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Never wrap the cord around the appliance since this will cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. Handle the cord carefully for long life, and avoid jerking, twisting or straining especially at plug connections.

other vessels containing water.
As with all electrical appliances, the power cord must be regularly
