Important safety notice
Before using the unit, please read the operating instructions carefully, as they contain important information concerning the proper operation, maintenance and disposal of the unit.
Use
REFCO products are specially developed and manufactured to be used by trained refrigeration installation engineers. Because of the high pressures and the chemical and physical gases used in refrigeration systems, REFCO cannot be held responsible or liable for any accidents, injuries or deaths arising from the use of their products. REFCO explicitly states that their products should only be sold to professionally trained experts.

Use
Preparation
Insert 3 batteries in the battery compartment at the back of the device.
Ensure the batteries are inserted using the correct polarities.
Do not leave used batteries in the battery compartment. If you will not be using the device for a longer period of time, remove the batteries from the battery compartment.

Press the button, the device is now switched on.
During switch-on, the display shows everything.
If the measured value is greater than 18000 Microns, the display will not
show any value.
When the vacuum is drawn, the display shows the value.
Choosing the measurement unit
Press the button to change the measurement unit.
(Pascal, Micron, mbar, Torr, mTorr, psi, inHg)
Illuminating the display
Press the button to switch the display light on or off.
Battery level indicator
Check the battery level. When the empty battery symbol ( ) appears,
the batteries must be replaced in order to guarantee full function.

Maintaining the vacuum gauge
The vacuum sensor should be cleaned regularly to ensure the device retains its accuracy. Oil and other contaminants can interfere with the accuracy of the device. Follow the instructions below to clean the sensor.
Switch off the device. Put a few drops of cleaning alcohol into the measurement port.
Do not put any objects in the measurement port, as this will
damage the sensor.
Close the measurement port with a cap (1/4” SAE thread) and gently shake
the device.
Remove the cap and empty out the alcohol. Air dry the sensor.
It is important to ensure that no alcohol remains in the device
and that the sensor is completely dry.

Your new REF-VAC has been developed in accordance with the latest occupa­tional health and ergonomic requirements and reflects the latest state-of-the­art technology. REFCO Manufacturing Ltd has been certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001: 2008. Regular quality control checks as well as an accurate manufacturing process guarantee reliable functionality and are the basis for the REFCO guarantee, in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions of Sale and Delivery applicable on the day of delivery. Damages arising from obvious maltreatment or wear are excluded from the guarantee.
Environment
The REF-VAC has been developed for long term use. REFCO takes energy saving and environmental impact into consideration when procuring materials and manufacturing its products. REFCO Manufacturing Ltd feels responsible for all of its products throughout their entire lifespan and has therefore been certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001: 2004. When decommissioning the device, users should observe the disposal regulations applicable in their country.
