5. DO NOT attempt to repair, service, or modify the batteries or charger. Contact
ProTeam Customer Service with any issues.

INTRODUCTION
CHARGER GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
THE GOFREE BATTERY CHARGER MUST BE GROUNDED. If the charger should malfunction
or stop working, grounding provides a path of least resistance for electrical current, thereby
reducing the risk of electrical shock. This unit is equipped with a cord that has an equipment-grounding conductor and grounding plug. The plug must be inserted in an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and
ordinances. Cutting off the ground wire or using a cord that is not equipped with a ground
plug will void the warranty on the unit, and ProTeam will accept NO liability associated with
the unit.
WARNING
The GoFree battery charger is for use on a nominal 120-volt circuit, and has a grounded
plug that looks like the plug illustrated in sketch A in Figure AA. A temporary adaptor that
looks like the adaptor illustrated in sketches B and C may be used to connect this plug to
a 2-pole receptacle as shown in sketch B if a properly grounded outlet is not available. The
temporary adaptor should be used only until a properly grounded outlet (sketch A) can be
installed by a qualified electrician. The green colored rigid ear, lug, or the like extending
from the adaptor must be connected to a permanent ground such as a properly grounded
outlet box cover. Whenever the adaptor is used, it must be held in place by a metal screw.
Note: In Canada, the use of a temporary adaptor is not permitted by the Canadian Electrical
Code.
For Canada – This appliance is for use on a nominal 120-volt circuit and has a grounded
attachment plug that looks like the plug illustrated in sketch A in Figure AA. Make sure that
the charger is connected to an outlet having the same configuration as the plug. No adaptor should be used with the chargers detailed in this manual.
INTRODUCTION
Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk of electrical shock. Check with a
qualified electrician or service person if you are unsure that
the outlet is properly grounded. Do not modify the plug
provided with the charger. If it will not fit the outlet, have
a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.

vents. Keep them clear to allow proper ventilation.
CHARGING PROTEAM LITHIUM POLYMER BATTERY PACKS
Lithium Polymer batteries deliver fade-free power for their entire run time. The GoFree
vacuum will not gradually lose power due to decreasing battery charge. The vacuum will
perform at its normal performance level until the battery has been depleted. Once this happens, recharging of the battery is required. It is not necessary to drain the battery pack completely before recharging.
If none of the charger LEDs is lit at any point during the charging process, remove the battery pack from the charger to avoid damaging the product. DO NOT insert another battery.
Contact ProTeam Customer Service with any issues.
BATTERY PROTECTION FEATURES
ProTeam 37-volt Lithium Polymer batteries are designed with features that protect the Lithium
Polymer cells and maximize battery life. When the battery has reached its minimum voltage
level the electronics will shut off the battery. Once the battery shuts off, it must be recharged.
PREPARING BATTERY PACK FOR

MAINTENANCE
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to damage
from various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use clean
cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
BATTERIES
Battery packs for this product have been designed to provide maximum, trouble-free life.
However, like all batteries, they will eventually wear out. DO NOT disassemble battery pack
and attempt to replace the battery cells. Handling of these cells, especially when wearing
rings and jewelry, could result in a serious burn.
To obtain the longest possible battery life:
•Remove the battery pack from the charger once it is fully charged and ready for use.
•Store the battery pack in a cool, dry location.
•It is normal for Lithium batteries to lose charge during long periods of non-use. They
should be charged at least every 3 months to maintain the battery life.
BATTERY PACK REMOVAL AND PREPARATION FOR RECYCLING
Proper disposal and recycling is mandatory under the Mercury containing
Rechargeable Battery management Act, 42 U.S.S. 14301-14336 ("Battery
Act").
The 'Charge Up to Recycle!' program offers various recycling plans
for communities, retailers, businesses, and public agencies. For more
information about the 'Charge Up to Recycle!' program, or for more
information about a local collection site visit www.rbrc.com or call RBRC's
toll free number 1-800-8-BATTERY (1-800-822-2237).
Upon removal, cover the battery pack’s terminals
WARNING

with heavy duty adhesive tape. DO NOT attempt to
destroy or disassemble battery pack or remove any of its
components. Lithium Ion battery packs must be recycled
or disposed of properly. Never touch both terminals with
metal objects, as a short circuit will result. Keep away
from children. Failure to comply with these warnings
could result in fire and/or serious injury.
