High-Definition entertainment
Watch high-definition content disc with HDTV (High Definition
Television). Connec t it through a high speed HDMI cable (1.3 or category
2). You can enjoy excellent picture qualit y up to 1080p resolution with the
frame rate of 24 frames per second with progressive scan output.
BONUSVIEW/PIP (Picture-in-Picture)
This is a new function of BD-Video that plays the primary video and
secondary video simultaneously. Blu-ray players with Final Standard Profile
or Profile 1.1 specs can play Bonus View features.
Upscale DVD for enhanced picture quality
Watch the discs in the highest picture quality available for the HDTV.
Video upscaling increases the resolution of standard definition disc to

Prepare the remote control

1 Press and push the battery compar tment to slide it open (see “1” in
the illustration).
2 Insert t wo AAA batteries with correct polarity (+/-) as indicated.
3 Push and slide back the battery compartment (see “3” in the
illustration).

If you ar e not going to use the re mote contro l for a long time , rem ove the batteries. •
Do not use old and new or di fferent t ype s of bat ter ies in co mbination. •
Bat teries contain chemical su bst ances, so th ey should be disposed of properly. •
