Retractable roof
Precautions to be taken before
operating the roof
Park the vehicle on level ground. Check that no objects could hinder
the operation of the roof:
- nothing should be placed on the
moving rear shelf 1 , on the boot
screen 2 or on the side trims 3 ,
- if luggage is transported in the
boot, it must not lift the boot
screen,
- any objects, such as a jacket or
umbrella, placed in the boot, must
be secured using the luggage retaining net 4 .
Check that the boot screen 2 is se-
cured fi rmly.
Close the boot correctly.
The operation of the roof is the ex-
!
clusive responsibility of the driver.
To avoid any risk of injury when
operating the roof, ensure that no
one is standing near the moving
parts.
You are strongly advised not to operate the roof in strong winds.
When washing your vehicle:
!
- lock the vehicle using the remote
control or the key,
- avoid spraying the upper part
of the windows,
- keep the end of the high pressure nozzle at least 1 metre from
the windows and door seals.
When the vehicle has been washed
or after rain, wait until the roof has
dried before opening it.
Preliminary conditions
Switch on the ignition. Make absolutely sure that:
- the vehicle is not in energy economy
mode (refer to the corresponding
section),
- the battery voltage is suffi cient
(switching on of the roof control
indicator light),
- the roof fuse is in good condition
(refer to the corresponding section),
- the electric windows are initialised
(see corresponding section),
- the exterior temperature is higher
than -15 °C.
It is preferable to operate the roof
i
with the engine running and the
vehicle stationary.
The roof can be operated at a
speed below 6 mph (10 km/h).
After the roof has been operated
fully four times in succession, the
system switches to protection
mode temporarily to avoid damage to the roof motors. Let the
system rest for approximately ten
minutes; if you are unable to operate the roof after this time, contact
a PEUGEOT dealer.

then, once the danger had been
eliminated, complete the movement
required.

then start the operation required
again.
If the problem persists, contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Change to "coupé" confi guration:

level.
As soon as traffi c conditions permit, regenerate the fi lter by driving at a speed
of at least 40 mph (60 km/h) until the

Manual Check
System which informs the driver of the
warnings present and of the activated
or deactivated status of the functions.
With the engine running, to start a
manual check, press the "CHECK/000"
button on the instrument panel.
If no "major" faults have been detected,
"CHECK OK" appears on the large in-
strument panel display.
If a "minor" fault has been detected, the
warning lights concerned then "CHECK OK" appear on the large instrument
panel display. Consult a PEUGEOT
dealer.

only the warning lights concerned appear on the large instrument panel display. Have it checked by a PEUGEOT
dealer.
Coolant temperature indicator
System which informs the driver of the
changes in the temperature of the engine coolant while driving.
With the engine running, when the needle is:
- in zone A , the temperature is
correct,
- in zone B , the temperature is too
high; the max temperature warning
light 1 and the central STOP warning
light come on, accompanied by an
audible signal and a message on
the multifunction display.
You MUST stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
Wait a few minutes before switching off
the engine.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
After driving for a few minutes, the temperature and pressure in the cooling
system increase.
To top up the level:
wait for the engine to cool, unscrew the cap by two turns to
allow the pressure to drop,
when the pressure has dropped,
remove the cap,
top up the level to the "MAX" mark.
1
Service indicator
System which informs the driver when
the next service is due, in accordance with the manufacturer’s servicing
schedule.
The point at which the service is due is
calculated from the last indicator zero
reset. It is determined by two parameters:
- the distance travelled,
- the time elapsed since the last
service.
More than 1800 miles (3 000 km)
remain before the next service is due
When the ignition is switched on, no
service information appears on the display.
Between 600 miles (1 000 km) and
1 800 miles (3 000 km) remain before
the next service is due
For 5 seconds after the ignition is
switched on, the spanner symbolising
the service operations comes on. The
distance recorder display line indicates
the distance remaining before the next
service is due.
Example: 2 800 km remain before the
next service is due.
For 5 seconds after the ignition is
switched on, the display indicates:
5 seconds after the ignition is switched
on, the spanner is switched off ; the
distance recorder resumes its normal
operation. The display then indicates
the total and trip distances.
Less than 600 miles (1000 km)
remain before the next service is due
Example: 900 km remain before the
next service is due.
For 5 seconds after the ignition is
switched on, the display indicates:
5 seconds after the ignition is switched
on, the distance recorder resumes its
normal operation. The spanner re-mains on to indicate that a service
must be carried out soon.
1
Service overdue
For 5 seconds after the ignition is
switched on, the spanner fl ashes to in-
dicate that the service must be carried
out as soon as possible.
Example: the service is overdue by
300 miles (km).
For 5 seconds after the ignition is
switched on, the display indicates:
5 seconds after the ignition is switched on,
the distance recorder resumes its normal
operation. The spanner remains lit .
i
The distance remaining may be
weighted by the time factor, depending on the driver’s driving habits.
Therefore, the spanner may also
come on if you have exceeded the
two year service interval.
Service indicator zero reset
After each service, the service indicator
must be reset to zero.
To do this, carry out the following procedure:
switch off the ignition, press and hold the trip distance
recorder zero reset button,
switch on the ignition; the
distance recorder display begins a
countdown,
when the display indicates "=0" ,
release the button; the spanner
disappears.
i
Following this operation, if you wish
to disconnect the battery, lock the
vehicle and wait at least fi ve min-
utes for the zero reset to be taken
into account.
Retrieving the service information
You can access the service information
at any time.
Press the trip distance recorder zero
reset button.
The service information is displayed
for a few seconds, then disappears.
