Il valore relativo al livello di
vibrazioni indicato nelle presenti istruzioni d’uso è
stato misurato in conformità alla procedura di misurazione esplicata nella norma EN 60745 e può
essere utilizzato per il confronto tra apparecchi. Il
valore relativo all‘emissione delle vibrazioni può
essere utilizzato anche per stabilire una valutazione
iniziale della sospensione.
Il livello di vibrazione potrà variare a seconda
dell’impiego dell’utensile elettrico e in alcuni casi
può essere superiore al valore indicato nelle presenti
istruzioni. Il carico di vibrazione potrebbe essere
stimato in difetto, perché l’utensile elettrico viene
utilizzato sempre in modalità simili.
Nota: Per una corretta valutazione dell’affaticamento da vibrazioni durante un determinato periodo di lavorazione devono essere considerati anche
i tempi in cui l’apparecchio è disinserito o è funzionante, senza però essere utilizzato. Ciò può ridurre
in misura notevole l’affaticamento da vibrazioni
lungo il periodo di lavorazione complessivo.

le indicazioni e gli avvisi di sicurezza! Eventuali mancanze nell’osser-
vanza delle indicazioni e degli avvisi di sicurezza
possono provocare una scossa elettrica, un incendio
e / o gravi lesioni.
Conservare tutte le indicazioni e gli avvisi
di sicurezza per eventuali necessita’ future!
La parola “attrezzo elettrico“ utilizzata nelle istruzioni
d’uso si riferisce agli attrezzi elettrici funzionanti
all’interno di una rete (con cavo di rete) e agli attrezzi elettrici che funzionano mediante batterie
(senza cavo di rete).
1. Sicurezza dell’area di lavoro
a) Mantenere l’area di lavoro pulita e
ben illuminata. Il disordine ed aree di lavoro
poco illuminate possono determinare incidenti.
b) Non lavorare con l’apparecchio in
un’atmosfera dove si trovino liquidi
infiammabili, esplosiva, gas e polveri.
Gli utensili elettrici generano scintille che possono infiammare la polvere o i gas.
c) Durante l’utilizzo del dispositivo elet-
trico tenere lontani bambini e persone
estranee. In caso di distrazione potreste
perdere il controllo dell’apparecchio.
2. Sicurezza elettrica
a) La spina di connessione dell’apparec-
chio deve essere adatta alla presa elettrica nella quale essa viene inserita.
In nessun caso l’adattatore deve
essere modificato. Non utilizzare
spine con apparecchi messi a terra.
Spine non modificate e prese adatte riducono
il rischio di una scossa elettrica.
b)
Evitare il contatto del corpo con superfici
messe a terra, quali ad esempio quelle
di tubi, caloriferi, cucine economiche
e frigoriferi. Sussiste un elevato rischio di
scossa elettrica, qualora il Vostro corpo fosse
messo a terra.
c) Mantenere l’apparecchio lontano da
pioggia o umidità. La penetrazione di
acqua in un apparecchio elettrico accresce il
rischio di scossa elettrica.
d) Non utilizzare il cavo in modo non con-
forme, cioè per tirare l’apparecchio, per
appenderlo o per estrarre la spina dalla
presa elettrica. Tenere il cavo lontano
da calore, olio, spigoli acuti o di parti in
movimento dell’apparecchio. Cavi dan-

neggiati o attorcigliati accrescono il rischio di
scossa elettrica.
e) In caso di lavori all’aperto utilizzare
solamente prolunghe ammesse anche
per un loro utilizzo all‘aperto. L’utilizzo
di una tale prolunga riduce il rischio di scossa
elettrica.
f) Qualora non si possa evitare l‘eserci-
zio dell’elettroutensile in un ambiente
umido, fare uso di un interruttore
differenziale, circostanza che riduce il
rischio di una scossa elettrica.
3. Sicurezza delle persone
a) Fare sempre estrema attenzione a ciò
che si fa e accostarsi al lavoro con il
dispositivo elettrico sempre in modo
cosciente. Non utilizzare l’apparecchio
quando si è stanchi o sotto l’influsso
di droghe, alcol o medicinali. Un solo
attimo di disattenzione nell’utilizzo dell’apparecchio può provocare serie lesioni.
b) Indossare sempre l’equipaggiamento
di protezione personale e gli occhiali
protettivi. Indossando l’equipaggiamento di
protezione personale, quale una mascherina
antipolvere, scarpe di sicurezza antisdrucciolevoli, un casco di protezione o una protezione
auricolare, a seconda del tipo e dell’utilizzo
dell’apparecchiatura elettrica, riduce il rischio
di lesioni.
c) Evitare qualsiasi avvio involontario
dell’utensile. Assicurarsi che l’utensile
sia disinserito prima di collegarlo alla
rete di alimentazione elettrica, di sollevarlo o di trasportarlo. Se durante il
trasporto dell’apparecchio il dito dell’utilizzatore si trova sull’interruttore ON / OFF oppure
l’apparecchio è inserito, possono determinarsi
incidenti.
d) Prima di avviare l’apparecchio, rimuo-
vere il dispositivo di regolazione o la
chiave per dadi. Un utensile o una chiave
che si trovi in una parte di apparecchio in rotazione può provocare lesioni.

e) Mantenere una postura del corpo nor-
male. Assicurarsi di avere un sostegno
sicuro e mantenere sempre l’equilibrio.
In questo modo è possibile controllare meglio
l’apparecchio, in modo particolare in caso di
situazioni impreviste.
f) Indossare un abbigliamento appro-
priato. Non indossare un abbigliamento largo o bigiotteria. Mantenere
capelli, abbigliamento e guanti lontano da parti in movimento. Abbigliamento
sciolto, gioielli o capelli lunghi possono essere
trascinati da parti in movimento.
g) Quando vengono montati dispositivi
di aspirazione e di cattura della polvere, assicurarsi che questi siano stati
montati ed utilizzati correttamente.
L’utilizzo di questi dispositivi riduce i pericoli
provocati dalla polvere.
4. Utilizzo attento
di dispositivi elettrici
a) Non sovraccaricare l’apparecchio.
Per un determinato lavoro utilizzare
sempre il dispositivo elettrico a ciò appropriato. Con il dispositivo elettrico appro-
priato si lavora meglio e con maggiore sicurezza
nello specifico ambito di utilizzo.
b) Non utilizzare dispositivi elettrici il cui
interruttore sia difettoso. Un dispositivo
elettrico che non si può più accendere e spegnere rappresenta un pericolo, e deve essere
riparato.
c) Estrarre la spina dalla presa elettrica
prima di eseguire regolazioni
all‘apparecchio, sostituire accessori o
riporre l‘apparecchio. Queste misure di
prudenza impediscono l’avvio involontario
dell’apparecchio.
d) Mantenere dispositivi elettrici non uti-
lizzati fuori dalla portata di bambini.
Non fare utilizzare l’apparecchio da
persone che non lo conoscano o del
quale non abbiano letto le istruzioni
d’uso. I dispositivi elettrici sono pericolosi se
utilizzati da persone inesperte.

e) Avere cura dell’apparecchio. Control-
lare se parti mobili dell’apparecchio
funzionano perfettamente e non si
bloccano, se parti di esso sono rotte o
danneggiate, che la funzionalità
dell’apparecchio non sia messa a
rischio. Fare riparare le parti danneggiate prima di utilizzare di nuovo l’apparecchio. Molti incidenti sono provocati
dal fatto che i dispositivi elettrici non vengono
sottoposti ad una corretta manutenzione.
f) Mantenere gli utensili di taglio affilati
e puliti. Utensili di taglio curati con attenzione
e fornitidi bordi taglienti si incastrano meno
frequentemente e sono semplici da guidare
durante il lavoro.
g) Utilizzare dispositivi elettrici, accessori,
i dispositivi da inserire ecc, in conformità alle presenti istruzioni e nel modo
descritto per questo particolare tipologia di apparecchio. In questo senso,
tenere presente le condizioni di lavoro
e l’attività da eseguire. L’utilizzo di dispo-
sitivi elettrici per scopi diversi da quelli previsti
può provocare situazioni di pericolo.
5. Assistenza
a) Fare riparare l’apparecchio dal Centro
di Assistenza o da un elettricista specializzato e solo con pezzi di ricambio
originali. In questo modo viene garantita la
sicurezza dell’apparecchio.
Q
Avvertenze di sicurezza
per tutte le applicazioni
Avvertenze di sicurezza comuni per
levigatura, levigatura con carta vetrata,
lavori con spazzole metalliche, lucidare
ed eseguire una troncatura:
a) Quest’elettroutensile va usato come
levigatrice, levigatrice con carta vetrat
spazzola metallica, lucidatrice e troncatrice. Si attenga a tutte le avvertenze
a,
di sicurezza, a tutte le istruzioni, immagini e a tutti i dati che Le vengono
forniti insieme all’elett routensile. Se
Lei non si attiene alle istruzioni riportate qui a
seguito, si può causare una scossa elettrica, un
incendio e / o ferite pesanti.
b) La frase / indicazione normativa per questo
utensile non è applicabile.
c) Non faccia uso di accessori che non
siano stati previsti appositamente dal
costruttore di quest’elettroutensile.
Il fatto che un accessorio si possa fissare sul
Suo elettroutensile, non garantisce il suo impiego sicuro.
d) Il numero di giri ammesso per l’attrezzo
di inserimento deve essere almeno
pari al numero massimo di giri indicato sull’elettroutensile. Un accessorio che
gira più rapidamente rispetto alla velocità ammessa, può rompersi o volare in giro.
e) Il diametro esterno e la densità del-
l’attrezzo di inserimento devono
corrispondere alle indicazioni delle
misure del Suo elettroutensile. Attrezzi
da impiegare misurati in modo errato non possono essere protetti o controllati a sufficienza.
f) Dischi abrasivi, flangia, piatto abrasivo
o altri accessori devono corrispondere
esattamente al mandrino di levigatura
del Suo elettroutensile. Gli attrezzi di in-
serimento che non corrispondono al mandrino
di levigatura ruotano in modo irregolare, vibrano ad alta intensità e possono portare alla
perdita di controllo.
g) Non usi attrezzi di inserimento danneg-
giati. Prima di ogni impiego controlli gli
attrezzi da impiegare, quali dischi
abrasivi per verificare eventuali scheggiature e crepe, usura o forte logoramento. Le spazzole metalliche vanno
controllate per verificare se vi sono
eventuali fili di metallo sciolti o spezzati. Se l’elettroutensile o l’attrezzo di
inserimento dovessero cadere a terra,
La preghiamo di verificare se sono
danneggiati oppure far uso di un attrezzo di inserimento non danneggiato.

di inserimento, mantenga questo e le
persone nei paraggi al di fuori del livello di azione dell’attrezzo di inserimento rotante e lo lasci sempre correre per
un minuto con il massimo livello di giri.
Attrezzi di inserimento danneggiati normalmente
si rompono già durante l’intervallo della verifica.
h) Porti un’attrezzatura di protezione in-
dividuali. A seconda dell’applicazione
porti una protezione su tutto il viso,
una protezione agli occhi oppure occhiali di protezione. Nel caso in cui sia
appropriato, porti una maschera antipolvere, una protezione acustica, guanti di protezione o un grembiule speciale che tiene a dovuta distanza da
Lei le piccole particelle di levigatura e
dei materiali. Gli occhi devono essere pro-
tetti da corpi esterni volanti che si formano nel
corso dell’esecuzione di diverse applicazioni.
Le maschere antipolvere e le mascherine di
protezione delle vie respiratorie devono filtrare
la polvere formatasi durante l’applicazione. Se
Lei dovesse essere esposta / o a rumori pesanti
a tempo prolungato, potrebbe soffrire di una
perdita dell’udito.
i) Faccia attenzione che le altre persone
si trovino ad una distanza di sicurezza
rispetto al Suo ambito di lavoro. Tutti
quelli che entrano nel Suo ambito di
lavoro, devono portare un’attrezzatura
di protezione individuale. Pezzi spezza-
tisi dal materiale di lavorazione, oppure pezzi
spezzati degli attrezzi di inserimento possono
volare via e causare ferite anche al di fuori
dell’ambito diretto di lavoro.
j) Te
nga l’apparecchiatura esclusivamen
sulle superfici di impugnatura isolate,
mentre esegue i lavori in cui l’attrezzo
di inserimento può colpire condotti
elettrici nascosti oppure il cavo di rete.
Il contatto con un condotto della tensione può
anche mettere sotto tensione i componenti di
metallo delle apparecchiature e portare ad
una scossa elettrica.
k) Tenga a dovuta distanza il cavo di rete
dalle attrezzature di inserimento ruotanti. Se dovesse perdere il controllo sull’ap-

parecchiatura, il cavo di rete può essere scisso
oppure colpito e la Sua mano o il Suo braccio
potrebbero finire nell’attrezzatura di inserimento
ruotante.
l) Non depositi mai l’elettroutensile finché
l’attrezzo di inserimento non sia del
tutto bloccato. L’elettroutensile ruotante può
venire a contatto con la superficie di parcheggio
e così Lei potrebbe perdere il controllo dell’attrezzo elettrico.
m) Non metta in funzione l’elettroutensile
mentre lo porta. I Suoi vestiti potrebbero
venire casualmente a contatto con l’elettroutensile in rotazione, e l’elettroutensile potrebbe
penetrare nel Suo corpo creandovi dei fori.
n) Pulisca regolarmente le fessure di
areazione del Suo elettroutensile. Il
mantice del motore attira polvere all’interno
dell’involucro e l’intensa deposizione di polvere
metallica può causare dei pericoli.
o) Non utilizzi l’elettroutensile vicino a
materiali infiammabili. Le schegge potrebbero infiammare questi materiali.
p) Non faccia uso di attrezzi di inserimento
che richiedono sostanze di raffreddamento. L’impiego di acqua o altre sostanze di
raffreddamento può causare una scossa elettrica.
Q
Contraccolpo e avvertimenti
di sicurezza rispettivi
Il contraccolpo è una reazione improvvisa causata
da un attrezzo di inserimento ruotante impigliato
oppure bloccato, quale ad es. disco abrasivo, piatto abrasivo, spazzola metallica, ecc. L’impigliarsi o
il blocco portano ad un’interruzione improvvisa

dell’attrezzo di inserimento in rotazione. In questo
modo un elettroutensile incontrollato viene accelerato
contro la direzione di rotazione dell’attrezzo di inserimento sul punto di blocco. Se ad es. un disco
abrasivo si impiglia o si blocca all’interno dell’utensile, il bordo del disco abrasivo che penetra nell’utensile, si può impigliare in esso e causare in questo
modo la fuoriuscita del disco abrasivo oppure un
contraccolpo. Il disco abrasivo si muove dunque in
direzione dell’operatore oppure si allontana da esso,

in dipendenza dalla direzione di rotazione del disco
sul punto di blocco. In questo modo i dischi abrasivi
possono anche rompersi.
Un contraccolpo è la conseguenza di un impiego
scorretto oppure errato dell’elettroutensile. Esso può
essere evitato attenendosi alle rispettive precauzioni descritte qui a seguito.
a) Tenga ben fisso l’elettroutensile e
metta il Suo corpo e le Sue braccia in
una posizione tale da poter parare le
forze dei contraccolpi. Faccia sempre
uso di un’impugnatura aggiuntiva, se
presente, al fine di avere il maggior
controllo possibile sulle forze di contraccolpo o i momenti di reazione nella
curva d’avviamento. L’operatore può con-
trollare le forze dei contraccolpi e delle reazioni,
attenendosi ai provvedimenti di cautela previsti.
b) Non metta mai la Sua mano vicino agli
attrezzi di inserimento in rotazione.
L’attrezzo di inserimento può passare sulla Sua
mano al momento del contraccolpo.
c) Eviti di avvicinarsi con il proprio corpo
alla zona in cui l’elettroutensile viene
mosso in caso di un contraccolpo. Il
contraccolpo muove l’elettroutensile nella
direzione opposta rispetto al movimento del
disco abrasivo sul punto di blocco.
d) Operi con particolare attenzione in
prossimità di spigoli, spigoli taglienti,
ecc. Impedisca che gli attrezzi di inserimento o accessori possano rimbalzare dal pezzo in lavorazione oppure
possano rimanervi bloccati. L’utensile in
rotazione ha la tendenza a rimanere bloccato
in angoli, spigoli taglienti oppure in caso di
rimbalzi. Ciò provoca una perdita del controllo
oppure un contraccolpo.
e) Non utilizzare alcuna lama a catena
o dentata. Tali utensili provocano spesso un
contraccolpo oppure la perdita di controllo
sull’utensile elettrico.
Q
Particolari avvertenze di
sicurezza per operazioni di
levigatura e di troncatura
a) Utilizzi esclusivamente utensili abrasi-
vi che siano esplicitamente ammessi
per l’elettroutensile in dotazione e
sempre in combinazione con la cuffia
di protezione prevista per ogni utensile abrasivo. Utensili abrasivi che non sono
previsti per l’elettroutensile non possono essere
sufficientemente schermati e sono insicuri.
b) La cuffia di protezione deve essere
applicata con sicurezza all’elettroutensile e regolata in modo tale da poter
garantire il massimo possibile di sicurezza, cioè che la parte dell’utensile
abrasivo pià piccola sia rivolta verso
l’operatore. La cuffia di protezione ha il

c) Gli utensili abrasivi devono essere uti-
lizzati esclusivamente per le possibilità
applicative esplicitamente raccomandate. Per esempio: Non esegua mai
lavori di levigatura con la superficie
laterale di un disco abrasivo da taglio
dritto. I dischi abrasivi da taglio dritto sono
previsti per l’asportazione di materiale con il
bordo del disco. Esercitando dei carichi laterali
su questi utensili abrasivi vi è il pericolo di romperli.
d) Utilizzi sempre flange di serraggio
che siano in perfetto stato e che siano
della corretta dimensione e forma per
la mola abrasiva selezionata. Flange
adatte hanno una funzione di corretto supporto
della mola abrasiva e riducono dunque il più
possibile il pericolo di una rottura della mola
abrasiva. E’ possibile che vi sia una differenza
tra flange per mole abrasive da taglio dritto e
flange per mole abrasive di altro tipo.
e) Non utilizzi mai mole abrasive usurate
previste per elettroutensili più grandi.
Le mole abrasive previste per elettroutensili più
grandi non sono concepite per le maggiori
velocità di elettroutensili più piccoli e possono
rompersi.

i lavori di troncatura
a) Eviti di far bloccare il disco abrasivo da
taglio diritto oppure di esercitare una
pressione troppo alta. Non esegua tagli
eccessivamente profondi. Sottoponendo
la mola da taglio diritto a carico eccessivo se non
aumenta la sollecitazione e la si rende maggiormente soggetta ad angolature improprie o a
blocchi venendo così a creare il pericolo di contraccolpo oppure di rottura dell’utensile abrasivo.
b) Eviti di avvicinarsi alla zona anteriore
o posteriore al disco abrasivo da taglio
diritto in rotazione. Se Lei manovra la mola
da taglio diritto nel pezzo in lavorazione in direzione opposta a quella della propria persona,
può capitare che in caso di un contraccolpo il
disco in rotazione faccia rimbalzare con violenza l’elettroutensile con il disco abrasivo in
rotazione verso di Lei.
c) Qualora il disco abrasivo da taglio
diritto dovesse incepparsi oppure si
dovesse interrompere il lavoro, spenga l’elettroutensile e lo tenga fermo
fino a quando il disco si sarà fermato
completamente. Non tenti mai di estrarre il disco abrasivo dal taglio in
esecuzione perché altrimenti potrebbe
provocare un contraccolpo. Rilevi ed eli-
mini la causa del blocco.
d) Non rimetta l’elettroutensile in funzio-
ne fintanto che esso si trovi ancora nel
pezzo in lavorazione. Prima di continuare ad eseguire il taglio procedendo con la dovuta cautela, attenda che
il disco abrasivo da taglio diritto abbia raggiunto la massima velocità.
In caso contrario è possibile che il disco resti
agganciato, sbalzi dal pezzo in lavorazione
oppure provochi un contraccolpo.
e) Doti di un supporto adatto i pannelli
oppure i pezzi in lavorazione in modo
da ridurre il rischio di un contraccolpo
dovuto ad un disco abrasivo da taglio
diritto che rimane bloccato. Pezzi in la-
vorazione possono piegarsi sotto l’effetto del

proprio peso. Provveda a munire il pezzo in lavorazione di supporti adatti al caso specifico
sia nelle vicinanze del taglio di troncatura che
in quelle del bordo.
f) Operi con particolare cautela in caso
di “tagli dal centro“ da eseguire in
pareti già esistenti oppure in altri parti non visibili. Il disco abrasivo da taglio
diritto che inizia il taglio sul materiale può provocare un contraccolpo se dovesse arrivare a
troncare condutture del gas o dell’acqua, linee
elettriche oppure oggetti di altro tipo.

approvate rinforzate con fibra, ammesse
per una velocità periferica di almeno 80 m / s.
ATTENZIONE! L’utensile di molatura continua
a girare anche dopo che il dispositivo è stato
spento. Non cercare di rallentarlo con una
contropressione laterale.
Bloccare il pezzo da lavorare. A questo
scopo utilizzare dispositivi di bloccaggio / una
morsa a vite attorno al pezzo. Esso viene in
questo modo trattenuto in modo più sicuro che
non con la mano.
Spegnere sempre l’apparecchio prima
di deporlo, ed attendere fino a che lo
stesso non si sia completamente fermato.
In caso di caduta di tensione o quando
viene estratta la spina di alimentazione, sbloccare subito l’interruttore
ON / OFF, portandolo sulla posizione OFF.
Ciò impedisce un possibile riavviamento involontario.
Utilizzare l’apparecchio solo per il
taglio o la molatura a secco.

PERICOLO! Movimentare
l’apparecchio attraverso
il pezzo sempre con una
rotazione in senso opposto
rispetto alla posizione in cui si trova
l’operatore. In caso di utilizzo con una rota-
zione in senso contrario rispetto a quella suggerita, sussiste il pericolo di contraccolpo.
L’apparecchio può essere premuto dal taglio.
Movimentare l’apparecchio, sempre
in stato di funzionamento, attraverso
il pezzo. Una volta terminata la lavorazione,
sollevare l’apparecchio dal pezzo e solo in
questa fase spegnerlo.
Durante la lavorazione tenere l’appa-
recchio con entrambe le mani (vedi
anche Fig. D). Assicurarsi di mantenere sem-
pre una posizione ritta e sicura.
Per un migliore molatura movimentare l’appa-
recchio avanti e indietro sul pezzo in modo uniforme mantenendo in un angolo di 15°-30°
(tra mola e pezzo).
In caso di lavorazione di superfici
oblique l’apparecchio non deve essere
premuto sul pezzo con grande forza.
Qualora il numero di giri diminuisse fortemente, è
necessario ridurre la forza di pressione, al fine
di garantire una lavorazione sicura ed efficace.
Qualora l’apparecchio venisse improvvisamente frenato o si bloccasse, esso deve essere subito
scollegato dalla rete di alimentazione elettrica.
Taglio: Lavorare con avanzamento non
eccessivamente veloce e non angolare
la mola di taglio.
Durante la lavorazione, le mole di
sgrossatura e di taglio diventano molto calde – prima di toccarle lasciare
che si raffreddino completamente.
Non utilizzare mai l’apparecchio per
scopi diversi da quelli per i quali è
stato previsto.
Fare sempre attenzione a che l’appa-
recchio sia spento prima di inserire il
cavo di alimentazione nella spina.
In caso di pericolo, estrarre subito la
spina dalla presa elettrica. Fare in modo
che l’apparecchio e la spina di rete siano facilmente accessibili, ed in caso di emergenza,
possano essere raggiunti senza problemi.
Estrarre sempre la spina dalla presa
elettrica nei momenti di pausa del lavoro, prima dell’esecuzione di qualsiasi
intervento sull’apparecchio, ed in caso
di mancato utilizzo. L’apparecchio deve
essere sempre pulito, asciutto e privo di tracce
di olio o di grasso.
Fare sempre estrema attenzione a ciò
che si fa e accostarsi al lavoro sempre

This tool is suitable for cutting, roughing and brushing metal materials without the use of water. Any
other use or modification to the device shall be
considered as improper use and could give rise to
considerable dangers. We will not accept liability
for loss or damage arising from improper use. The
device is not intended for commercial use.

The vibration level specified in
these instructions was measured in accordance with
an EN 60745 standardised measurement process
and can be used to compare equipment. The vibration emission value specified can also serve as a
preliminary assessment of the exposure.
The vibration level will change according to the application of the electrical tool an in some cases may
exceed the value specified in these instructions.
Regularly using the electric tool in such a way may
make it easy to underestimate the vibration.
Note: If you wish to make an accurate assessment
of the vibration loads experienced during a particular
period of working, you should also take into account
the intervening periods of time when the device is
switched off or is running but is not actually in use.
This can result in a much lower vibration load over
the whole of the period of working.

The term “electrical tool” used in the safety advice
refers to electrical tools powered by mains electricity (by means of a mains lead) and electrical tools
powered by rechargeable batteries (without a
mains lead).
1. Workplace safety
a) Keep your working area clean and
well lit. Untidy or poorly lit working areas
can lead to accidents.
b) Do not work with the device in poten-
tially explosive environments in which
there are inflammable liquids, gases
or dusts. Electrical power tools create sparks,
which can ignite dusts or fumes.
c) Keep children and other people away
while you are operating the electrical
tool. Distractions can cause you to lose con-
trol of the device.
2. Electrical safety
a)
The mains plug on the device must match
the mains socket. The plug must not be
modified in any way. Do not use an
adapter plug with devices fitted with
a protective earth. Unmodified plugs and
matching sockets reduce the risk of electric

as pipes, radiators, ovens and refrigerators with any part of your body.
There is an increased risk of electric shock if
your body is earthed.

3. Personal safety
a) Remain alert at all times, watch what
you are doing and always proceed
with caution. Do not use the device if
you are tired or under the influence of
drugs, alcohol or medication. One mo
of carelessness when using the device can lead
to serious injury.
b) Wear personal protective equipment
and always wear safety glasses. The
wearing of personal protective equipment such
as dust masks, non-slip safety shoes, safety helmets or ear protectors, appropriate to the type
of electrical power tool used and work undertaken, reduces the risk of injury.
c) Avoid unintentional operation of the
device. Check that the electrical power
tool is switched off before you connect
it to the mains, pick it up or carry it.
Accidents can happen if you carry the device
with your finger on the ON / OFF switch or with
the device switched on.
d) Remove any setting tools or spanners
before you switch the device on. A tool
or spanner left attached to a rotating part of a
device can lead to injury.
e) Avoid placing your body in an unnat-
ural position. Keep proper footing
and balance at all times. By doing this
you will be in a better position to control the
device in unforeseen circumstances.
f) Wear suitable clothing. Do not wear
loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your
hair, clothing and gloves clear of moving parts. Loose clothing, jewellery or long
hair can become trapped in moving parts.
g) If vacuum dust extraction and collection
devices are fitted do not forget to

Careful handling and use
of electrical power tools

intended for the task you are undertaking. By using the right electrical power
tool for the job you will work more safely and
achieve a better result.
b) Do not use an electrical power tool if
its switch is defective. An electrical power
tool that can no longer be switched on and off
is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Pull the mains plug from the socket
before you make any adjustments to
the device, change accessories or when
the device is put away. This precaution is
intended to prevent you from unintentionally
starting the device.
d) When not in use always ensure that
electrical power tools are kept out of
reach of children. Do not let anyone use
the device if he or she is not familiar
it or has not read the instructions and
advice. Electrical power tools are dangerous
when they are used by inexperienced people.
e) Look after the device carefully. Check
that moving parts are working properly and move freely. Check for any
parts that are broken or damaged
enough to detrimentally affect the
functioning of the device. Have damaged parts repaired before you use
the device. Many accidents have their origins
in poorly maintained electrical power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools clean and sharp.
Carefully maintained cutting tools with sharp
cutting edges are less likely to jam and are
easier to control.
g) Use the electrical power tool, accesso-
ries, inserted tools etc. in accordance
with these instructions and advice, and
the stipulations drawn up for this particular type of device. In doing this, take
into account the working conditions
and the task in hand. The use of electrical
power tools for purposes other than those intended can lead to dangerous situations.

General safety advice for grinding,
sanding (with sandpaper), wire brushing,
polishing and disc-cutting:
a) This electrical power tool is intended
for use as a grinding, sanding, wirebrushing, and disc-cutting machine.
Observe all the safety advice, instructions, information in figures and all
other information you received with
this device. If you do not observe the follow-
ing advice it could lead to electric shock, fire
and / or serious injury.
b) Normative statement / advice for this tool is not
applicable.
c) Do not use any accessory not specifi-
cally intended by the manufacturer
for this electrical power tool. Although
an accessory may fit on your electrical power
tool, this does not on its own guarantee that it
can be safely used.
d) The maximum permitted speed of an
attachment must be at least as high as
the maximum speed indicated for the
electrical power tool. An accessory rotating
faster than its permitted speed could disintegrate
or fly off.
e) The external diameter and the thickness
of the attachment must be compatible
with the dimensions of your electrical
power tool. Attachments that are not dimen-
sionally compatible cannot be adequately
guarded or controlled.
f) Grinding discs, flanges, grinding
wheels or other accessories must fit
exactly on to the spindle of your electrical power tool. Attachments that do not
exactly fit on the spindle turn unevenly, vibrate
severely and could lead to loss of control.
g) Do not use damaged attachments.
Before every use check attachments
such as grinding discs for loose fragments and cracks, grinding wheels for
cracks, deterioration or excessive
wear and wire brushes for loose or
broken wires. If the electrical power
tool or attachment is dropped, inspect
for damage or change the attachment
for an undamaged one. When you
have inspected and inserted the attachment, position yourself and bystanders away from the plane of the
rotating attachment and run the device
at maximum speed for one minute.
Damaged attachments will usually break apart
during this test.
h) Wear personal protective equipment.
Use a full face visor, safety goggles or
safety glasses, depending on the application. Wear a dust mask, hearing
protectors, safety gloves or special
apron capable of stopping particles of
the grinding medium or workpiece,
as appropriate for the task. Eyes must
be protected from the flying debris which can
arise from some operations. Dust or breathing
masks must be capable of filtering out the dust
generated by the application. Prolonged exposure to loud noise can lead to hearing loss.
i) Keep bystanders at a safe distance
from your work area. Anyone entering
the work area must wear personal
protective equipment. Fragments of the
workpiece or of a broken attachment could fly
off and cause injury beyond the immediate
working area.
j) Hold the device by the insulated han-
dle surfaces when you are undertaking work where there is the danger
of the attachment striking hidden
electricity cables or the device’s mains
lead. Contact with a live wire could cause
metal parts of the device to become live and
lead to electric shock.

k) Keep the mains lead away from rotat-
ing attachments. If you lose control of the
device the mains lead may become severed or
trapped and your hand or arm may be pulled
into the rotating attachment.
l) Never lay the electrical power tool
down until after the attachment has
come to a complete standstill. The rotat-
ing attachment may snag when it comes into
contact with the surface and cause you to lose
control of the device.
m) Do not have the electrical power tool
running while you are carrying it. Your
clothing could become trapped by unintentional contact with the rotating attachment and the
tool could be pulled into your body.
n) Clean the ventilation slots on your
electrical power tool regularly. The motor’s fan draws dust into the housing. A build-up
of metal dust could give rise to an electrical
hazard.
o) Never use the electrical power tool
near inflammable materials. Sparks
could ignite these materials.
p) Do not use attachments that require
the use of coolants. The use of water or
other liquid coolants could result in electric shock.

relating to kickback
Kickback is the sudden reaction to a pinched or
snagged rotating attachment, such as a grinding
disc, grinding pad, wire brush etc. Pinching or
snagging results in the rotating attachment coming
to an abrupt stop. This causes the electrical power
tool (if not controlled) to move in the opposite direction to the direction of rotation of the attachment
at the point of constraint.

Kickback occurs as a result of incorrect use or misuse of the electrical power tool. It can be prevented
by taking the appropriate precautions as described
below.
a) Maintain a firm grip on the electrical
power tool and position your body
and arms to allow you to resist kickback forces. Always use the auxiliary
handle, if provided, to exercise the
greatest possible control over kickback forces or reaction torques as the
device builds up to full speed. By taking
suitable precautions the operator can control
kickback and reaction forces.
b) Do not place your hands near a rotat-
ing attachment. If kickback occurs the attachment could move over your hand.
c) Avoid positioning your body in the
area into which the electrical power
tool would move in the event of a
kickback. A kickback moves the electrical
power tool in the opposite direction to the direction of movement of the grinding disc at the
point of constraint.
d) Work particularly carefully in the
area of corners, sharp edges etc. to
avoid the attachment bouncing or
snagging on the workpiece. Corners,
sharp edges or bouncing have a tendency to
snag the rotating attachment. This causes loss
of control or kickback.
e) Do not use saw-chain woodcarving
discs or toothed discs. Such attachments
create frequent kickback and loss of control of
the electrical power tool.
If, for example, a grinding disc is pinched or snags
in a workpiece, this can cause the edge of the
grinding disc to penetrate the workpiece, become
trapped there and either free itself or kickback. The
grinding disc moves towards or away from the operator, depending on the direction of movement of

type of abrasive consumable you are
using. Always use abrasive consumables approved for use with your elec-

trical power tool. Abrasive consumables not
approved for use with your electrical power tool
cannot be adequately guarded and are unsafe.
b) To ensure the highest level of opera-
tional safety, the disc guard cover must
be attached to the electrical power tool
and set in such a way that the smallest
possible area of the abrasive consumable is exposed to the operator. The disc
guard cover is there to protect the operator
from pieces breaking off and accidental contact with the abrasive consumable.
c) Abrasive consumables must be used
only for their recommended purposes,
For example: never grind with the side
face of a cutting disc. Cutting discs are in-
tended for removing material using the edge
of the disc. Sideways forces on these abrasive
consumables can cause them to break.
d) Always use an undamaged mounting
flange of the correct size and shape
for your selected grinding disc. Suitable
flanges support the grinding disc and reduce
the chance of it breaking. Flanges for cutting
discs are different from the flanges for other
abrasive discs.
e) Never use worn down abrasive con-
sumables intended for larger electrical
power tools. Abrasive consumables intended
for larger electrical power tools are not designed
for the faster rotational speeds of these smaller
electrical power tools and could break.

work for a while, switch the device
off and hold it until the disc comes to
a complete stop. Never attempt to
pull the still rotating cutting disc out of
the cut as this could cause kickback.

d) Do not switch on the device if the cut-
ting disc is in the workpiece. Allow
the cutting disc to reach full speed before carefully continuing with the cut.
Otherwise the disc could snag, jump out of the
workpiece or cause a kickback.
e) Support boards or workpieces whilst
cutting to reduce the risk of kickback
caused by a jammed cutting disc. Large
workpieces may bend under their own weight.
The workpiece must be supported to both sides
of the cutting disc and particularly near the
cutting disc and at the workpiece edge.

cutting in existing walls or other areas
where you cannot see what you are cut

could cut through gas or water pipes, electricity
cables or other objects and cause kickback.

the rotating cutting disc. If the cutting disc
is moving away from you at the point of constraint in the workpiece, then, in the event of

pieces of wire during normal use. Do
not overload the wires by applying too
much pressure. Flying pieces of wire can very
easily penetrate thin clothing and / or skin.
b) Use a guard, if recommended, but
make sure that the wire brush does
not come into contact with the guard.
The diameters of disc brushes and cup brushes
can increase due to contact pressure and centripetal forces.

discs with a larger bore fit.
When using abrasive consumables
and tools with a threaded insert make
sure that the tread is long enough for
the spindle length. Otherwise the grinding
discs could become detached from the device
and result in injury and / or damage to property.
Do not allow the end of the spindle
to contact the base of the hole in the
abrasive consumable.
Do not work in areas where there may
be concealed electricity cables or gas
or water pipes. Use a suitable detector
or ask your local utility service providers. Contact with electricity cables can
lead to fire or electric shock. Damaging a gas
pipe can lead to an explosion. Penetration of a
water pipe can lead to property damage or to
electric shock.
NOXIOUS FUMES!
Working with harmful / noxious dusts represents
a risk to the health of the person operating the
device and to anyone near the work area.
For longer periods of cutting or grind-
ing metal or stone materials which
give rise to dusts that are hazardous
to health, the device must be connected
to a suitable external dust extraction
device.
Ensure that there is adequate ventila-
tion when working on plastic, paint,
varnish etc.
Do not soak the materials or the sur-
face you are about to work on with
liquids containing solvents.

of dust. Use suction devices particularly approved for the purpose.
Use permitted consumables and tools
only. Check that the speed given on the
discs is greater or equal to the rated
speed of the device.
Take note of the direction of rotation
and always hold the device in such a
way that the sparks and grinding debris are thrown away from your body.
Otherwise there could be danger of injury.
Make sure that the dimensions of the
disc are suitable for the device and
that the disc is of a type that fits properly on to the mounting flange

Disc-cutting:
Never use roughing or
grinding discs for cutting!
Only use certified fibre-reinforced cut-
ting or grinding discs approved for use at
circumferential speeds of not less than 80 m / s.
CAUTION! The disc continues to rotate after
the device has been switched off. Do not attempt to slow it down by pressing on the side
of the disc.
Securely support the workpiece. Use
clamps or a vice to grip the workpiece firmly.
This is much safer than holding it in your hand.
Switch the device off and allow it to
come to a complete standstill before
you put it down.
Unlock the ON / OFF switch immedi-
ately if a power failure occurs or the
plug is pulled out of the mains socket.
Place the switch in the OFF position.
This prevents the device from being inadvertently started up again.
Use the device for dry cutting or dry
grinding only.
The auxiliary handle 6 must be in
place
whenever the device is being used.
Do not work on materials containing
asbestos. Asbestos is a known carcinogen.
Note! Discs must be used only for their recom-
mended purposes, otherwise they could disintegrate,
become damaged or cause accidents.
Roughing:
Never use cutting discs for
roughing or grinding!
Move the angle grinder using even
pressure to and fro over the workpiece.
Hold the roughing or grinding disc at
a flat angle to the workpiece when
working on a soft material. Use a
slightly steeper angle for harder materials.
A tip! Using the device safely.
DANGER! Always guide
the device through the
workpiece against the direction of rotation of the
disc. If you work in the other direction there is
the risk of kickback. The device may be forced
out of the cut.
Always switch on the device before
placing it against the workpiece. After
cutting or grinding, always lift the device from
the workpiece before switching it off.
When working always hold the device
securely with both hands (see Fig. D).
Always keep proper footing and balance.

For the best grinding performance move the
device evenly to and fro over the workpiece
maintaining an angle of 15° to 30° (between
grinding disc and workpiece).

the workpiece. If the speed slows greatly,
use less pressure. This will allow you to work
more effectively and safely. If the device suddenly stops due to it becoming retarded or trapped,
pull the mains plug from the socket immediately.
Cutting: Advance the device at an
appropriate rate. Do not incline the
cutting disc.
Roughing, grinding and cutting discs
get hot during use – allow them to
cool fully before touching them.
Never use the device for a purpose
for which it was not intended.
Before you insert the mains plug into
the socket, always check that the device is switched off.
If a dangerous situation arises, pull

be securely attached to the angle grinder. To
ensure the highest level of safety while using
the device, ensure that the smallest possible
area of the grinding or cutting tool is exposed
to the operator at all times. The disc guard cover is there to protect the operator from pieces
breaking off and accidental contact with the
grinding or cutting tool.

grinding or cutting discs. The circular hole must fit
on to the mounting flange without play. Do not use
a reducer piece or adapter.

free of damage, moisture or cracks.
Otherwise they could break up during use and
cause injury.

Der in diesen Anweisungen
angegebene Schwingungspegel ist entsprechend
einem in EN 60745 genormten Messverfahren gemessen worden und kann für den Gerätevergleich
verwendet werden. Der angegebene Schwingungsemissionswert kann auch zu einer einleitenden Einschätzung der Aussetzung verwendet werden.
Der Schwingungspegel wird sich entsprechend dem
Einsatz des Elektrowerkzeugs verändern und kann in
manchen Fällen über dem in diesen Anweisungen
angegebenen Wert liegen. Die Schwingungsbelast
könnte unterschätzt werden, wenn das Elektrowerkzeug regelmäßig in solcher Weise verwendet wird.
Hinweis: Für eine genaue Abschätzung der
Schwingungsbelastung während eines bestimmten
Arbeitszeitraumes sollten auch die Zeiten berücksichtigt werden, in denen das Gerät abgeschaltet ist
oder zwar läuft, aber nicht tatsächlich im Einsatz

2. Elektrische Sicherheit
a) Der Anschlussstecker des Elektrowerk-
zeuges muss in die Steckdose passen.
Der Stecker darf in keiner Weise verändert werden. Verwenden Sie keine
Adapterstecker gemeinsam mit
schutzgeerdeten Elektrowerkzeugen.
Unveränderte Stecker und passende Steckdosen
verringern das Risiko eines elektrischen Schlages.
b) Vermeiden Sie Körperkontakt mit ge-
erdeten Oberflächen, wie von Rohren,
Heizungen, Herden und Kühlschränken.
Es besteht ein erhöhtes Risiko durch elektrischen
Schlag, wenn Ihr Körper geerdet ist.
c) Halten Sie Elektrowerkzeuge von Re-
gen oder Nässe fern. Das Eindringen von
Wasser in ein Elektrogerät erhöht das Risiko eines elektrischen Schlages.
d) Zweckentfremden Sie das Kabel nicht,
um das Elektrowerkzeug zu tragen,
aufzuhängen oder um den Stecker aus
der Steckdose zu ziehen. Halten Sie
das Kabel fern von Hitze, Öl, scharfen
Kanten oder sich bewegenden Geräteteilen. Beschädigte oder verwickelte Kabel
erhöhen das Risiko eines elektrischen Schlages.
e) Wenn Sie mit einem Elektrowerkzeug
im Freien arbeiten, verwenden Sie nur
Verlängerungskabel, die auch für den
Außenbereich zugelassen sind. Die
Anwendung eines für den Außenbereich
geeigneten Verlängerungskabels verringert
das Risiko eines elektrischen Schlages.
f) Wenn der Betrieb des Elektrowerk-
zeuges in feuchter Umgebung nicht

vermeidbar ist, verwenden Sie einen
Fehlerstromschutzschalter. Der Einsatz
eines Fehlerstromschutzschalters vermindert
das Risiko eines elektrischen Schlages.
3. Sicherheit von Personen
a)
Seien Sie stets aufmerksam, achten Sie
darauf, was Sie tun und gehen Sie mit
Vernunft an die Arbeit mit einem Elekt
rowerkzeug. Benutzen Sie kein Elektrowerkzeug, wenn Sie müde sind oder
unter dem Einfluss von Drogen, Alkohol oder Medikamenten stehen. Ein
Moment der Unachtsamkeit beim Gebrauch
des Elektrowerkzeuges kann zu ernsthaften
Verletzungen führen.
b) Tragen Sie persönliche Schutzausrüs
und immer eine Schutzbrille. Das Tragen
persönlicher Schutzausrüstung wie Staubmaske,
rutschfeste Sicherheitsschuhe, Schutzhelm oder
Gehörschutz, je nach Art und Einsatz des Elektrowerkzeuges, verringert das Risiko von Verletzungen.
c) Vermeiden Sie eine unbeabsichtigte
Inbetriebnahme. Vergewissern Sie sich,
dass das Elektrowerkzeug ausgeschaltet ist, bevor Sie es an die Stromversorgung anschließen, es aufnehmen
oder tragen. Wenn Sie beim Tragen des
Elektrowerkzeuges den Finger am Schalter ha
oder das Gerät bereits eingeschaltet an die
Stromversorgung anschließen, kann dies zu
Unfällen führen.
d) Entfernen Sie Einstellwerkzeuge oder
Schraubenschlüssel, bevor Sie das
Elektrowerkzeug einschalten. Ein Werk-
zeug oder Schlüssel, der sich in einem drehenden
Geräteteil befindet, kann zu Verletzungen führen.
e) Vermeiden Sie eine abnormale Körper-
haltung. Sorgen Sie für einen sicheren
Stand und halten Sie jederzeit das
Gleichgewicht. Dadurch können Sie das
Elektrowerkzeug in unerwarteten Situationen
besser kontrollieren.
f) Tragen Sie geeignete Kleidung. Tragen
Sie keine weite Kleidung oder Schmuck.

angeschlossen sind und richtig verwendet werden. Die Verwendung einer

Staub verringern.
4. Verwendung und Behandlung
des Elektrowerkzeugs
a) Überlasten Sie das Gerät nicht. Ver-
wenden Sie für Ihre Arbeit das dafür
bestimmte Elektrowerkzeug. Mit dem
passenden Elektrowerkzeug arbeiten Sie besser
und sicherer im angegebenen Leistungsbereich.
b) Benutzen Sie kein Elektrowerkzeug,
dessen Schalter defekt ist. Ein Elektrowerk-
zeug, das sich nicht mehr ein- oder ausschalten
lässt, ist gefährlich und muss repariert werden.
c) Ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steck-
dose, bevor Sie Geräteeinstellungen
vornehmen, Zubehörteile wechseln
oder das Gerät weglegen. Diese Vorsichts-
maßnahme verhindert den unbeabsichtigten
Start des Elektrowerkzeuges.
d) Bewahren Sie unbenutzte Elektrowerk-
zeuge außerhalb der Reichweite von
Kindern auf. Lassen Sie Personen das
Gerät nicht benutzen, die mit diesem
nicht vertraut sind oder diese Anweisungen nicht gelesen haben. Elektrowerk-
zeuge sind gefährlich, wenn sie von unerfahrenen
Personen benutzt werden.
e) Pflegen Sie Elektrowerkzeuge mit
Sorgfalt. Kontrollieren Sie, ob bewegliche Teile einwandfrei funktionieren
und nicht klemmen, ob Teile gebrochen
oder so beschädigt sind, dass die Funktion des Elektrowerkzeuges beeinträchtigt ist. Lassen Sie beschädigte Teile vor
dem Einsatz des Gerätes reparieren.

werkzeuge mit scharfen Schneidkanten verklemmen sich weniger und sind leichter zu führen.
g) Verwenden Sie Elektrowerkzeug,
Zubehör, Einsatzwerkzeuge usw.

Trennschleifmaschine. Beachten Sie
alle Sicherheitshinweise, Anweisungen,
Darstellungen und Daten, die Sie
mit dem Gerät erhalten. Wenn Sie die
folgenden Anweisungen nicht beachten, kann

c) Verwenden Sie kein Zubehör, das
vom Hersteller nicht speziell für dieses

d) Die zulässige Drehzahl des Einsatz-
werkzeugs muss mindestens so hoch

das sich schneller als zulässig dreht, kann
zerbrechen oder umherfliegen.
e) Außendurchmesser und Dicke des
Einsatzwerkzeugs müssen den Maßangaben Ihres Elektrowerkzeugs
ent
sprechen. Falsch bemessene Einsatzwerk-
zeuge können nicht ausreichend abgeschirmt
oder kontrolliert werden.
f) Schleifscheiben, Flansche, Schleifteller
oder anderes Zubehör müssen genau
auf die Schleifspindel Ihres Elektrowerkzeugs passen. Einsatzwerkzeuge,
die nicht genau auf die Schleifspindel passen,
drehen sich ungleichmäßig, vibrieren sehr stark
und können zum Verlust der Kontrolle führen.
g) Verwenden Sie keine beschädigten
Einsatzwerkzeuge. Kontrollieren Sie vor
jeder Verwendung Einsatzwerkzeuge
wie Schleifscheiben auf Absplitterunge
und Risse, Schleifteller auf Risse,
Verschleiß oder starke Abnutzung.
Drahtbürsten auf lose oder gebrochene
Drähte. Wenn das Elektrowerkzeug
oder das Einsatzwerkzeug herunterfäll
überprüfen Sie, ob es beschädigt ist,
oder verwenden Sie ein unbeschädigtes
Einsatzwerkzeug. Wenn Sie das Einsatzwerkzeug kontrolliert und eingesetzt
haben, halten Sie und in der Nähe
befindliche Personen sich außerhalb der
Ebene des rotierenden Einsatzwerkzeuges auf und lassen Sie das Gerät eine
Minute lang mit Höchstdrehzahl laufen.
Beschädigte Einsatzwerkzeuge brechen meist
in der Testzeit.
h) Tragen Sie persönliche Schutzausrüs-
tung. Verwenden Sie je nach Anwendung Vollgesichtsschutz, Augenschutz
oder Schutzbrille. Soweit angemessen,

können Sie einen Hörverlust erleiden.
i) Achten Sie bei anderen Personen auf
sicheren Abstand zu Ihrem Arbeitsbereich. Jeder, der den Arbeitsbereich
betritt, muss persönliche Schutzausrüstung tragen. Bruchstücke des Werkstücks
oder gebrochene Einsatzwerkzeuge können
wegfliegen und Verletzungen auch außerhalb
des direkten Arbeitsbereichs verursachen.
j) Halten Sie das Gerät nur an den
isolierten Griffflächen, wenn Sie
Arbeiten ausführen, bei denen das
Einsatzwerkzeug verborgene Stromleitungen oder das Netzkabel treffen
kann. Der Kontakt mit einer spannungsführen-
den Leitung kann auch metallene Geräteteile
unter Spannung setzen und zu einem elektrischen Schlag führen.
k) Halten Sie das Netzkabel von sich
drehenden Einsatzwerkzeugen fern.
Wenn Sie die Kontrolle über das Gerät
verlieren, kann das Netzkabel durchtrennt oder
erfasst werden und Ihre Hand oder Arm in das
sich drehende Einsatzwerkzeug geraten.
l) Legen Sie das Elektrowerkzeug nie-
mals ab, bevor das Einsatzwerkzeug
völlig zum Stillstand gekommen ist.
Das sich drehende Einsatzwerkzeug kann in
Kontakt mit der Ablagefläche geraten, wodurch Sie die Kontrolle über das Elektrowerkzeug verlieren können.
m) Lassen Sie das Elektrowerkzeug nicht
laufen, während Sie es tragen. Ihre
Kleidung kann durch zufälligen Kontakt mit
dem sich drehenden Einsatzwerkzeug erfasst
werden und das Einsatzwerkzeug sich in Ihren
Körper bohren.
n) Reinigen Sie regelmäßig die Lüftungs-
schlitze Ihres Elektrowerkzeugs. Das
Motorgebläse zieht Staub in das Gehäuse,

und eine starke Ansammlung von Metallstaub
kann elektrische Gefahren verursachen.
o) Verwenden Sie das Elektrowerkzeug
nicht in der Nähe brennbarer Materialien. Funken können diese Materialen
entzünden.

Verwenden Sie keine Einsatzwerkzeuge,
die flüssige Kühlmittel erfordern. Die
Verwendung von Wasser oder anderen flüssigen Kühlmitteln kann zu einem elektrischen
Schlag führen.
Rückschlag und entsprechende
Sicherheitshinweise
Rückschlag ist die plötzliche Reaktion infolge eines
hakenden oder blockierten drehenden Einsatzwerkzeuges, wie Schleifscheibe, Schleifteller, Drahtbürste
usw. Verhaken oder Blockieren führen zu einem
abrupten Stopp des rotierenden Einsatzwerkzeugs.
Dadurch wird ein unkontrolliertes Elektrowerkzeug
gegen die Drehrichtung des Einsatzwerkzeugs an
die Blockierstelle beschleunigt.
Wenn z.B. eine Schleifscheibe im Werkstück hakt
oder blockiert, kann sich die Kante der Schleifscheibe,
die in das Werkstück eintaucht, verfangen und da durch
die Schleifscheibe ausbrechen oder einen Rückschlag verursachen. Die Schleifscheibe bewegt sich
dann auf die Bedienperson zu oder von ihr weg, je
nach Drehrichtung der Scheibe an der Blockierstelle.
Hierbei können Schleifscheiben auch brechen.
Ein Rückschlag ist die Folge eines falschen oder
fehlerhaften Gebrauchs des Elektrowerkzeugs. Er
kann durch geeignete Vorsichtsmaßnahmen, wie
nachfolgend beschrieben, verhindert werden.
a) Halten Sie das Elektrowerkzeug gut
fest und bringen Sie Ihren Körper
und Ihre Arme in eine Position, in der
Sie die Rückschlagkräfte abfangen
können. Verwenden Sie immer den
Zusatzgriff, falls vorhanden, um die
größtmögliche Kontrolle über Rückschlagkräfte oder Reaktionsmomente
beim Hochlauf zu haben. Die Bedienperson

kann durch geeignete Vorsichtsmaßnahmen die
Rückschlag- und Reaktionskräfte beherrschen.
b) Bringen Sie Ihre Hand nie in die Nähe
sich drehender Einsatzwerkzeuge. Das
Einsatzwerkzeug kann sich beim Rückschlag
über Ihre Hand bewegen.
c) Meiden Sie mit Ihrem Körper den
Bereich, in den das Elektrowerkzeug
bei einem Rückschlag bewegt wird.
Der Rückschlag treibt das Elektrowerkzeug in
die Richtung entgegengesetzt zur Bewegung
der Schleifscheibe an der Blockierstelle.
d) Arbeiten Sie besonders vorsichtig im
Bereich von Ecken, scharfen Kanten
usw. Verhindern Sie, dass Einsatzwerkzeuge vom Werkstück zurückprallen und verklemmen. Das rotierende
Einsatzwerkzeug neigt bei Ecken, scharfen
Kanten oder wenn es abprallt dazu, sich zu
verklemmen. Dies verursacht einen Kontrollverlust oder Rückschlag.
e) Verwenden Sie kein Ketten- oder ge-
zähntes Sägeblatt. Solche Einsatzwerkzeuge
verursachen häufig einen Rückschlag oder den
Verlust der Kontrolle über das Elektrowerkzeug.
Besondere Sicherheitshinweise
zum Schleifen und Trennschleifen
a) Verwenden Sie ausschließlich die für
Ihr Elektrowerkzeug zugelassenen
Schleifkörper und die für diese Schleifkörper vorgesehene Schutzhaube.
Schleifkörper, die nicht für das Elektrowerkzeug
vorgesehen sind, können nicht ausreichend
abgeschirmt werden und sind unsicher.
b) Die Schutzhaube muss sicher am
Elektrowerkzeug angebracht und so
eingestellt sein, dass ein Höchstmaß an
Sicherheit erreicht wird, d.h. der kleinstmögliche Teil des Schleifkörpers zeigt
offen zur Bedienperson. Die Schutzhaube
soll die Bedienperson vor Bruchstücken und zufälligem Kontakt mit dem Schleifkörper schützen.
c) Schleifkörper dürfen nur für die
empfohlenen Einsatzmöglichkeiten
verwendet werden.
Zum Beispiel: Schleifen Sie nie mit
der Seitenfläche einer Trennscheibe.
Trennscheiben sind zum Materialabtrag mit
der Kante der Scheibe bestimmt. Seitliche
Krafteinwirkung auf diese Schleifkörper kann
sie zerbrechen.
d) Verwenden Sie immer unbeschädigte
Spannflansche in der richtigen Größe
und Form für die von Ihnen gewählte
Schleifscheibe. Geeignete Flansche stützen
die Schleifscheibe und verringern so die Gefahr eines Schleifscheibenbruchs. Flansche für
Trennscheiben können sich von den Flanschen
für andere Schleifscheiben unterscheiden.
e) Verwenden Sie keine abgenutzten
Schleifscheiben von größeren Elektrowerkzeugen. Schleifscheiben für größere
Elektrowerkzeuge sind nicht für die höheren
Drehzahlen von kleineren Elektrowerkzeugen
ausgelegt und können brechen.
Weitere besondere Sicherheits-
hinweise zum Trennschleifen
a) Vermeiden Sie ein Blockieren der
Trennscheibe oder zu hohen Anpressdruck. Führen Sie keine übermäßig
tiefen Schnitte aus. Eine Überlastung der
Trennscheibe erhöht deren Beanspruchung und
die Anfälligkeit zum Verkanten oder Blockieren
und damit die Möglichkeit eines Rückschlags
oder Schleifkörperbruchs.
b) Meiden Sie den Bereich vor und hinter
der rotierenden Trennscheibe. Wenn
Sie die Trennscheibe im Werkstück von sich
wegbewegen, kann im Falle eines Rückschlags
das Elektrowerkzeug mit der sich drehenden
Scheibe direkt auf Sie zugeschleudert werden.
c) Falls die Trennscheibe verklemmt
oder Sie die Arbeit unterbrechen,
schalten Sie das Gerät aus und halten
Sie es ruhig, bis die Scheibe zum Stillstand gekommen ist. Versuchen Sie
nie, die noch laufende Trennscheibe
aus dem Schnitt zu ziehen, sonst kann
ein Rückschlag erfolgen. Ermitteln und
beheben Sie die Ursache für das Verklemmen.

d) Schalten Sie das Elektrowerkzeug
nicht wieder ein, solange es sich im
Werkstück befindet. Lassen Sie die
Trennscheibe erst ihre volle Drehzahl erreichen, bevor Sie den Schnitt
vorsichtig fortsetzen. Andernfalls kann
die Scheibe verhaken, aus dem Werkstück
springen oder einen Rückschlag verursachen.
e) Stützen Sie Platten oder Werkstücke
ab, um das Risiko eines Rückschlags
durch eine eingeklemmte Trennscheibe zu vermindern. Große Werkstücke
können sich unter ihrem eigenen Gewicht
durchbiegen. Das Werkstück muss auf beiden
Seiten der Scheibe abgestützt werden, und
zwar sowohl in der Nähe der Trennscheibe als
auch an der Kante.
f) Seien Sie besonders vorsichtig bei
„Taschenschnitten“ in bestehende
Wände oder andere nicht einsehbare
Bereiche. Die eintauchende Trennscheibe
kann beim Schneiden in Gas- oder Wasserleitungen, elektrische Leitungen oder andere
Objekte einen Rückschlag verursachen.
Besondere Sicherheitshinweise
zum Sandpapierschleifen
Benutzen Sie keine überdimensionier
Schleifblätter, sondern befolgen Sie die
Herstellerangaben zur Schleifblattgröße. Schleifblätter, die über den Schleifteller
hinausragen, können Verletzungen verursachen
sowie zum Blockieren, Zerreißen der Schleifblätter oder zum Rückschlag führen.
Besondere Sicherheitshinweise
zum Polieren
Lassen Sie keine losen Teile der Polier-
haube, insbesondere Befestigungsschnüre, zu. Verstauen oder kürzen
Sie die Befestigungsschnüre. Lose, sich
mitdrehende Befestigungsschnüre können Ihre
Finger erfassen oder sich im Werkstück verfangen.

zum Arbeiten mit Drahtbürsten
a) Beachten Sie, dass die Drahtbürste auch
während des üblichen Gebrauchs Draht
stücke verliert. Überlasten Sie Drähte

dünne Kleidung und / oder Haut dringen.

Bereichen, in denen Elektro-, Gasoder Wasserleitungen liegen können.
Verwenden Sie geeignete Suchgeräte
oder fragen Sie die örtliche Versorgungsgesellschaft. Der Kontakt mit Elektro-
leitungen kann zu Feuer und elektrischem
Schlag führen. Das Beschädigen einer Gasleitung kann zu einer Explosion führen. Eindringen
in eine Wasserleitung kann Sachbeschädigung
verursachen oder zu elektrischem Schlag führen.
GIFTIGE DÄMPFE!
Die durch die Bearbeitung entstehenden
schädlichen / giftigen Stäube stellen eine
Gesundheitsgefährdung für die Bedienperson
oder in der Nähe befindliche Personen dar.
Schließen Sie bei längerem Bearbeiten
von Metall und Steinwerkstoffen, bei
denen gesundheitsgefährdende Staube
entstehen, das Gerät an eine geeignete
externe Absaugvorrichtung an.
Sorgen Sie bei der Bearbeitung von
Kunststoffen, Farben, Lacken, etc. für
ausreichende Belüftung.
Tränken Sie Materialien oder zu
bearbeitende Flächen nicht mit lösungsmittelhaltigen Flüssigkeiten.
VERLETZUNGSGEFAHR! Tragen Sie
eng anliegende Kleidung und bei langen Haaren ein Haarnetz oder eine
geeignete Kopfbedeckung.

Trennschleifen:
Verwenden Sie niemals
Schruppscheiben zum Trennen!
Verwenden Sie nur geprüfte faserstoff-
verstärkte Trenn- oder Schleifscheiben,
die für eine Umfangsgeschwindigkeit von nicht
weniger als 80 m / s zugelassen sind.
VORSICHT! Das Schleifwerkzeug läuft nach
dem Ausschalten nach. Bremsen Sie es nicht
durch seitliches Gegendrücken ab.
Sichern Sie das Werkstück. Benutzen
Sie Spannvorrichtungen / Schraubstock, um das
Werkstück festzuhalten. Es ist damit sicherer
gehalten, als mit Ihrer Hand.
Schalten Sie das Gerät vor dem Able-
gen immer aus und warten Sie bis das
Gerät zum Stillstand gekommen ist.
Entriegeln Sie bei einem Stromausfall
oder wenn der Netzstecker gezogen
wird, sofort den EIN- / AUS-Schalter.
Bringen Sie ihn in AUS-Position. Dies verhindert
einen unkontrollierten Wiederanlauf.
Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur für
Trockenschnitt bzw. Trockenschliff.
Der Zusatz-Handgriff 6 muss bei allen
Arbeiten mit dem Gerät montiert sein.
Asbesthaltiges Material darf nicht bear-
beitet werden. Asbest gilt als krebserregend.
Tipp! So verhalten Sie sich richtig.
GEFAHR! Führen Sie das
Gerät immer im Gegenlauf
durch das Werkstück. Bei
entgegengesetzter Richtung
besteht die Gefahr eines Rückschlags. Das
Gerät kann aus dem Schnitt gedrückt werden.
Führen Sie das Gerät immer einge-
schaltet gegen das Werkstück. Heben

Sie das Gerät nach der Bearbeitung vom
Werkstück ab und schalten Sie es erst dann aus.
Halten Sie das Gerät während der
Arbeit immer fest mit beiden Händen
(siehe auch Abb. D). Sorgen Sie für einen
sicheren Stand.
Für die beste Schleifwirkung bewegen Sie das
Gerät gleichmäßig in einem Winkel von 15°
bis 30° (zwischen Schleifscheibe und Werkstück) auf dem Werkstück hin und her.
Beim Bearbeiten von schrägen Flächen
darf das Gerät nicht mit großer Kraft
auf das Werkstück gedrückt werden.
Wenn die Drehzahl stark abfällt, müssen Sie die
Andruckkraft reduzieren, um sicheres und effektives Arbeiten zu ermöglichen. Sollte das Gerät
plötzlich vollkommen gebremst oder blockiert sein,
muss der Netzstrom sofort ausgeschaltet werden.
Trennen: Arbeiten Sie mit mäßigem
Vorschub und verkanten Sie die
Trennscheibe nicht.
Schrupp- und Trennscheiben werden
beim Arbeiten sehr heiß – lassen Sie sie
vor dem Berühren vollständig abkühlen.
Verwenden Sie das Gerät niemals
zweckentfremdet.
Achten Sie immer darauf, dass das
Gerät ausgeschaltet ist, bevor Sie den
Netzstecker in die Steckdose stecken.
Ziehen Sie bei Gefahr sofort den
Netzstecker aus der Steckdose. Sorgen
Sie dafür, dass das Gerät und der Netzstecker
leicht zugänglich und im Notfall problemlos
erreichbar sind.
Ziehen Sie bei Arbeitspausen, vor allen
Arbeiten am Gerät und bei Nichtgebrauch immer den Netzstecker aus der
Steckdose. Das Gerät muss stets sauber, trocke
und frei von Öl oder Schmierfetten sein.
Seien Sie stets aufmerksam! Achten Sie
immer darauf, was Sie tun, und gehen
Sie stets mit Vernunft vor. Benutzen Sie
das Gerät in keinem Fall, wenn Sie unkonzentriert sind oder sich unwohl fühlen.

Schnellverschluss montieren
FAHR!
Ziehen Sie vor allen Arbeiten
am Gerät den Netzstecker aus der
Steckdose.
VERLETZUNGSGEFAHR! Verwenden
Sie den Winkelschleifer immer mit der
Schutzhaube. Die Schutzhaube muss
sicher am Winkelschleifer angebracht werden.
Stellen Sie diese so ein, dass ein Höchstmaß
an Sicherheit erreicht wird, d.h. der kleinstmögliche Teil des Schleifkörpers zeigt offen zur
Bedienperson. Die Schutzhaube soll die Bedienperson vor Bruchstücken und zufälligem Kontakt
mit dem Schleifkörper schützen.
VERLETZUNGSGEFAHR! Achten Sie
darauf, dass die Schutzhaube
destens im gleichen Winkel wie der
Zusatz-Handgriff
(siehe Abb. B). Andernfalls können Sie sich
an der Schrupp- bzw. Trennscheibe verletzen.

beim Wechseln von Schrupp- und Trennscheiben immer Schutz handschuhe.
Schrupp- und Trennscheiben werden beim
Arbeiten sehr heiß. Fassen Sie diese nicht an,
bevor sie abgekühlt sind.
HINWEIS: Verwenden Sie unbedingt nur
schmutzfreie Scheiben.
Verwenden Sie nur Schleifwerkzeuge, deren
zulässige Drehzahl mindestens so hoch ist wie
die Leerlaufdrehzahl des Gerätes.

HINWEIS: Wenn die Scheibe nach dem
Wechsel unruhig läuft oder schwingt, muss diese
Scheibe sofort wieder ausgewechselt werden.
Lassen Sie das Gerät nach einem Scheibenwech-
sel sicherheitshalber 30 Sekunden im Leerlauf
laufen. Achten Sie auf ungewöhnliche Geräusche
und Funkenentwicklung. Überprüfen Sie, ob alle
Befestigungsteile korrekt angebracht sind.
Achten Sie darauf, dass der Drehrichtungspfeil
auf den Schrupp- oder Trennscheiben (auch
Diamant-Trennscheiben) und die Drehrichtung
des Gerätes (Drehrichtungspfeil auf dem
Geräte kopf) übereinstimmen.
Bedienung
Ein- und ausschalten
HINWEIS: Schalten Sie den Winkelschleifer
immer vor Materialkontakt ein und führen Sie das
Gerät erst dann auf das Werkstück.
Gerät einschalten:
Betätigen Sie die Einschaltsperre 3
(siehe Abb. H). Drücken Sie anschließend den

Verwenden Sie keine scharfen Gegen-
stände zur Reinigung des Gerätes. Es
dürfen keine Flüssigkeiten in das Innere
des Gerätes gelangen. Andernfalls kann
das Gerät beschädigt werden.
Lassen Sie den Austausch der Kohlebürsten bei
Leistungsabfall ausschließlich durch die Servicestelle oder eine anerkannte Fachwerkstatt durchführen. Ansonsten ist das Gerät wartungsfrei.
Reinigen Sie das Gerät regelmäßig, am besten
immer direkt nach Abschluss der Arbeit.
Reinigen Sie das Gehäuse mit einem trockenen
Tuch – verwenden Sie auf keinen Fall Benzin,
Lösungsmittel oder Reiniger, die Kunststoff
angreifen.
Zur gründlichen Reinigung des Gerätes wird
ein Staubsauger benötigt.
Lüftungsöffnungen müssen immer frei sein.
Entfernen Sie anhaftenden Schleifstaub mit
einem Pinsel.
