Limited Warranty Coverage (For USA and Puerto Rico Only)

If your product does not work properly because of a defect in materials or workmanship, Panasonic
Consumer Marketing Company of North America (referred to as “the warrantor”) will, for the length of the
period indicated on the chart below, which starts with the date of original purchase (“warranty period”),
at its option either (a) repair your product with new or refurbished parts, (b) replace it with a new or a
refurbished equivalent value product, or (c) refund your purchase price. The decision to repair, replace
or refund will be made by the warrantor.

Batteries (Non-rechargeable batteries are not

warranted.)

During the “Labor” warranty period there will be no charge for labor. During the “Parts” warranty period, there will be
no charge for parts. This Limited Warranty excludes both parts and labor for non-rechargeable batteries, antennas,
and cosmetic parts (cabinet). This warranty only applies to products purchased and serviced in the United States or
Puerto Rico. This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser of a new product which was not sold “as is”.

it prepaid, adequately insured and packed well in a carton box. When shipping Lithium Ion batteries please visit

date information. Include a letter detailing the complaint, a return address and provide a daytime phone number
where you can be reached. A valid registered receipt is required under the Limited Warranty.

IF REPAIR IS NEEDED DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD, THE PURCHASER WILL BE REQUIRED TO
FURNISH A SALES RECEIPT/PROOF OF PURCHASE INDICATING DATE OF PURCHASE, AMOUNT
PAID AND PLACE OF PURCHASE. CUSTOMER WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE REPAIR OF ANY UNIT
RECEIVED WITHOUT SUCH PROOF OF PURCHASE.

Limited Warranty Limits And Exclusions

This warranty ONLY COVERS failures due to defects in materials or workmanship, and DOES NOT
COVER normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage. The warranty ALSO DOES NOT COVER damages
which occurred in shipment, or failures which are caused by products not supplied by the warrantor, or
failures which result from accidents, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, misapplication, alteration, faulty
installation, set-up adjustments, misadjustment of consumer controls, improper maintenance, power line
surge, lightning damage, modifi cation, introduction of sand, humidity or liquids, commercial use such as
hotel, offi ce, restaurant, or other business or rental use of the product, or service by anyone other than
a Factory Service Center or other Authorized Servicer, or damage that is attributable to acts of God.

The noise canceling function

Environmental noises in airplanes, trains, and
buses, and noise caused by air-conditioners are
reduced by 92%, providing a quieter listening
environment. This function allows you to enjoy
music without raising the volume too high, and
is, therefore, kinder to your ears.
This unit mainly reduces the annoying low
frequency sounds. For this reason, sounds
with higher frequency portions, from car horns,
telephones and human voices, remain relatively
intact.

Inserting the battery

Open the battery lid.

Insert the battery and close the battery lid.

Press in toward the - end.
Match the poles (+ and -).
Battery: R03/LR03, AAA (included)

When to change the battery

Replace with a new battery when the operation
indicator starts to fade and/or fl ash. Also replace
when sound becomes distorted or fades.

If the battery charge is low or if the battery has
not been inserted, the unit cannot be used. Be
sure to insert the battery before use.

How to correctly install the

earpieces

• Unless the earpieces fi t properly, the seal may
be loose, and you may not be able to hear bass
sounds. To ensure optimal sound quality, insert
the earpieces until they fi t properly, by turning
the earphones slightly e.

• M-size earpieces are attached at the time of
purchase. If they are not the right size, replace
them with S or L-size earpieces (supplied) f.

Using the earphones

Turn down the volume on the audio

equipment or in-fl ight audio system
g and insert the earphones plug
(3.5 mm stereo) into the phone jack
(use the plug adaptor a if necessary).

The earphones plug and the air plug adaptor
may not suit the jacks in some airplane
armrests.

Check the sides (L and R), then insert

the earphones.

Turn down the volume control [VOL]

on the controller, and press the power
switch ON.

The indicator lights.

• Start play on the audio unit and
adjust its volume; or,

• Adjust the volume on the in-fl ight
audio system.

• Adjust volume level using the volume
control [VOL] on the controller.

Note

•

While using the noise canceling function, a
very small amount of noise which is generated
from the circuit that reduces noise may be
heard, but this is normal and not indicative of
any trouble. (This very-low-level noise may
be heard in quiet places or in the blank parts
between tracks.)

•

Noise may occur due to dirt on the plug. Clean
the plug with a soft dry cloth if this occurs.

• The ear pieces can deteriorate after long

periods of use or storage.

• Discontinue use if you experience

discomfort. Continued use may cause
rashes or other allergic reactions.

permet d’écouter de la musique sans pousser
le volume trop haut, offrant donc un son plus
agréable à l’oreille.
Cet appareil réduit essentiellement les bruits de
basse fréquence gênants. Pour cette raison, les
sons aux fréquences supérieures, tels que les
klaxons de voiture, les sonneries de téléphone et
les voies humaines, restent relativement intacts.

Insérez la pile et fermez le couvercle

Quand remplacer la pile

Remplacez la pile par une neuve lorsque le
témoin de fonctionnement commence à pâlir
et/ou à clignoter. Remplacez-la aussi lorsque le
son devient distordu ou lorsqu’il faiblit.

Si la pile est usée ou si aucune pile n’est
insérée, l’appareil ne peut fonctionner.
Assurez-vous d’insérer une pile avant
l’utilisation.

Comment ajuster

correctement les oreillettes

• Si les oreillettes ne se moulent pas
parfaitement à l’oreille, cela peut nuire à leur
étanchéité et il se peut que vous ne puissiez
pas entendre les sons graves. Afi n d’obtenir
une qualité sonore optimale, introduisez les
oreillettes jusqu’à ce qu’elles se moulent
parfaitement, tout en tournant les écouteurs
légèrement e.

• Des oreillettes de taille M sont montées au
moment de votre achat. Si elles ne sont pas
de la bonne taille, remplacez-les par des
oreillettes de taille P ou G (fournies) f.

Utilisation des écouteurs

Baissez le volume sur l’équipement

audio ou le système audio de bord
g et insérez la fi che des écouteurs
(stéréo 3,5 mm) dans la prise pour
écouteurs (utilisez la fi che adaptatrice
a si nécessaire).

Il se peut que la fiche des écouteurs et
l’adaptateur de fi che pour accoudoir de siège
d’avion ne conviennent pas aux prises de
l’accoudoir dans certains avions.

Vérifi ez les côtés (G et D), puis insérez

les oreillettes.

Baissez le volume sur le contrôleur

[VOL] et appuyez sur le commutateur
demarche/’arrêt ON.

Le témoin s’allume.

• Commencez la lecture sur
l’équipement audio et réglez le
volume ; ou,

• Réglez le volume du système audio
de bord.

• Réglez le volume à l’aide de la
commande de volume [VOL] sur le
contrôleur.

Nota

•

Lors de l’utilisation de la fonction d’annulation
de bruit, un très faible son, généré par le
processeur réduisant le bruit, peut être
entendu. Ceci est normal et n’est le signe
d’aucune anomalie. (Ce très faible son peut
être entendu dans des endroits tranquilles ou
lors de transitions entre les chansons.)

• La présence de poussière sur la prise risque

d’engendrer du bruit. Nettoyez alors la prise
avec un chiffon sec et doux.
Les oreillettes peuvent se détériorer après de

longues périodes d’utilisation ou de rangement.

• Cessez d’utiliser le casque en cas

d’inconfort. Une utilisation continue risque
d’entraîner des irritations ou autres réactions
allergiques.

Cuándo cambiar la pila

Cambie la pila por otra nueva cuando la luz del
indicador de funcionamiento empiece a perder
intensidad y/o parpadee. Cámbiela también cuando
el sonido se distorsione o se desvanezca.

Si la carga de la pila está baja o la pila no
ha sido insertada, la unidad no se podrá
utilizar. Asegúrese de insertar la pinta antes
de utilizar la unidad.

Cómo instalar correctamente
las piezas auriculares

• A menos que las piezas auriculares se
ajusten correctamente, el cierre quedará
fl ojo, y tal vez usted no pueda oír los
sonidos graves. Para asegurar una
calidad de sonido óptima, inserte las
piezas auriculares hasta que se ajusten
correctamente, girando ligeramente los
auriculares e.

• Las piezas auriculares instaladas en el
momento de la adquisición son del tamaño
M. Si estas piezas no son del tamaño
apropiado, cámbielas por otras del tamaño S
o L (suministradas) f.

Utilización de los auriculares

Baje el volumen del equipo de audio

o del sistema de audio del avión g e
introduzca la clavija de los auriculares
(3,5 mm, estéreo) en la toma de
auriculares (utilice el adaptador de
clavija a si es necesario).

La clavija de los auriculares y el adaptador
de clavija tal vez no puedan conectarse en
las tomas de los apoyabrazos de algunos
aviones.

Compruebe los lados (L y R) y luego

introduzca los auriculares tipo cerrado.

Baje el volumen con el control [VOL]

del controlador, y pulse el interruptor
de alimentación en ON.

El indicador se enciende.

• Inicie la reproducción en el equipo
de audio y ajuste su volumen; o,

• Ajuste el volumen en el sistema de
audio de a bordo.

• Ajuste el nivel del sonido utilizando
el control de volumen [VOL] del
controlador.

Nota

• Cuando utilice la función de anulación de

ruido puede que se oiga un poco de ruido
generado por el circuito que reduce el ruido,
pero esto es normal y no indica ningún
problema. (Este ruido de nivel muy bajo se
puede oír en lugares silenciosos o en las
partes en blanco entre pistas.)

• Si la clavija está sucia se podrá producir

ruido. Limpie la clavija con un paño blando y
seco cuando ocurra esto.

• Las piezas para los oídos se pueden

deteriorar después de usarlas o guardarlas
durante mucho tiempo.

• Deje de utilizar los auriculares si le causan

molestias. La utilización continua puede
causar sarpullidos u otras reacciones
alérgicas.
