Limited Warranty Coverage

If your product does not work properly because of a defect in
materials or workmanship, Panasonic Consumer Electronics
Company or Panasonic Puerto Rico, Inc. (collectively
referred to as "the warrantor") will, for the length of the period
as follows, which starts with the date of original purchase
("warranty period"), replace it with a new or a refurbished
product.

The noise canceling function

Environmental noises in airplanes, trains, and
buses, and noise caused by air-conditioners is
reduced by a fourth, providing a quieter listening
environment. This function allows you to enjoy
music without raising the volume too high, and
is, therefore, kinder to your ears.
This unit mainly reduces the annoying low frequency
sounds. For this reason, sounds with higher
frequency portions, from car horns, telephones and
human voices, remain relatively intact.

Monitor function

While you are listening to music using the stereo
earphones, you can choose to hear through the
earphones the ambient sound that is input from
the microphone, instead of the music.

Inserting the battery

Open the battery lid.
Insert the battery and close the battery

lid.

Press in and down on the - end.
Match the poles (+ and -).
Battery: R03/LR03, AAA (included)

If rechargeable batteries are to be used,
rechargeable batteries manufactured by
Panasonic are recommended.

When to change the battery

The battery should be changed when the
[OPR] indicator fades or fails to light. The noise
canceling function becomes less effective as the
battery wears down.

If the battery is worn down, or if a battery
isn’t inserted at all, the unit acts like normal
earphones. Switch [OPR] to “OFF”.

How to correctly install the

earpieces

• Unless the earpieces fi t snugly, the seal may
be compromised, and you may not be able to
hear bass sounds. To ensure optimal sound
quality, insert the earpieces until they fi t snugly,
while turning the earphones slightly e.

•

M-size earpieces are attached at the time of

purchase. If they are not the right size, replace
them with S or L-size earpieces (supplied)

Using the earphones

Turn down the volume on the audio

equipment or in-fl ight audio system
g and insert the earphones plug (3.5
mm stereo) into the phone jack (use
the plug adaptor a if necessary).

The earphones plug and the air plug adaptor may
not suit the jacks in some airplane armrests.

Check the sides (L and R), then insert

the earphones.

• Start play on the audio unit and
adjust its volume; or,

• Adjust the volume on the in-fl ight
audio system.

Turn on the noise canceling function.

Switch [OPR] to “ON”.

The [OPR] indicator lights.

Adjust the volume.

Adjust the volume with [VOL] on the controller
or readjust the volume on the source.

To hear ambient sound (monitor function)

Hold down [MONITOR].

While [MONITOR] is pressed, the sound of
the music is cut off, and you can hear the
ambient sound instead.
To resume listening to the music which was
playing, release [MONITOR].

Note

• Noise may occur due to dirt on the plug.

Clean the plug with a soft dry cloth if this occurs.

• The ear pieces can deteriorate after long

periods of use or storage.

• Discontinue use if you experience discomfort.

Continued use may cause rashes or other
allergic reactions.

La fonction de suppression de bruit

Les bruits ambiants qui règnent dans les avions,
les trains et les bus, ainsi que le bruit généré par les
appareils de climatisation, sont réduits d’un quart
afi n de fournir un environnement d’écoute plus
silencieux. Cette fonction vous permet d’écouter
de la musique sans pousser le volume trop haut et
procure donc un son plus agréable à l’oreille.
Cet appareil réduit essentiellement les bruits de
basse fréquence gênants. Pour cette raison, les
sons aux fréquences supérieures, tels que les
klaxons de voiture, les sonneries de téléphone et
les voies humaines, restent relativement intacts.

Fonction de contrôle

Pendant que vous écoutez de la musique au
moyen des écouteurs stéréo, vous pouvez choisir
d’entendre par les écouteurs le son ambiant qui est
entré depuis le microphone au lieu de la musique.

Ouvrez le couvercle du compartiment de pile.

Insérez la pile et fermez le couvercle

du compartiment de pile.

Pour cela, insérez d’abord et enfoncez
l’extrémité -.
Respectez le sens de polarité (+ et -).

Si l’on doit utiliser des batteries rechargeables,
il est recommandé d’utiliser des batteries
rechargeables de marque Panasonic.

Quand remplacer la pile

Un allumage faible ou l’absence d’allumage du
témoin [OPR] indique qu’il faut remplacer la pile.
La fonction de suppression de bruit devient moins
effi cace au fur et à mesure que la pile s’épuise.

Si la pile est usée ou si aucune pile n’est insérée,
l’appareil fonctionne comme un casque normal.
Mettez le commutateur [OPR] sur “OFF”.

Comment installer

correctement les écouteurs

•

Si les écouteurs ne s’adaptent pas parfaitement,
cela peut nuire à l’étanchéité et il se peut que vous
ne puissiez pas entendre les sons graves. Afi n
d’obtenir une qualité sonore optimale, introduisez
les écouteurs jusqu’à ce qu’ils s’adaptent
parfaitement, tout en les tournant légèrement e.

• Des écouteurs de taille M sont montés au
moment de votre achat. S’ils ne sont pas
de la taille correcte, remplacez-les par des
écouteurs de taille S ou L (fournis) f.

Utilisation des écouteurs

Baissez le volume sur l’équipement audio
ou le système audio de bord g et insérez
la fi che des écouteurs (stéréo 3,5 mm)
dans la prise pour écouteurs (utilisez la
fi che adaptatrice a si nécessaire).

Il se peut que la fi che des écouteurs et l’adaptateur de
fi che pour accoudoir de siège d’avion ne conviennent

pas aux prises de l’accoudoir dans certains avions.

Vérifi ez les côtés (L et R), puis insérez

les écouteurs.

•

Commencez la lecture sur l’équipement
audio et réglez son volume ; ou,

•

Réglez le volume du système audio de bord.

Activez la fonction de suppression de bruit.

Mettez le commutateur [OPR] sur “ON”.

Le témoin [OPR] s’allume.

Réglez le volume.

Réglez le volume au moyen de [VOL] sur le contrôleur
ou bien réglez à nouveau le volume sur la source.

son de musique est coupé et vous pouvez
entendre les sons ambiants.

Pour reprendre l’écoute de la musique,

relâchez [MONITOR].

Remarque

• La présence de poussière sur la prise risque
d’engendrer du bruit. Nettoyez alors la prise
avec un chiffon sec et doux.

•

Les oreillettes peuvent se détériorer après de
longues périodes d’utilisation ou de rangement.

•

Cessez d’utiliser le casque en cas d’inconfort.
Une utilisation continue risque d’entraîner des

irritations ou autres réactions allergiques.

La función de anulación de ruido

Los ruidos ambientales en aviones, trenes y
autobuses, y el ruido causado por acondicionadores
de aire se reduce un cuarto aproximadamente,
proporcionando así un ambiente de escucha más
silencioso. Esta función le permite disfrutar de la
música sin subir excesivamente el volumen, y es,
por supuesto, más considerada con sus oídos.
Esta unidad reduce principalmente los sonidos
molestos de baja frecuencia. Por este motivo, los
sonidos con frecuencias más altas como, por ejemplo,
los de bocinas de automóviles, teléfonos y voces
humanas permanecen relativamente intactos.

Función de monitor

Mientras está escuchando música utilizando los
auriculares estéreo, usted puede elegir escuchar
por los auriculares el sonido ambiental que se
introduce por el micrófono, en lugar de la música.

Cuándo cambiar la pila

La pila deberá cambiarse cuando el indicador [OPR]
pierda intensidad o no se encienda. La función de
anulación de ruido pierde efectividad al agotarse la pila.

Si la pila está agotada o si no se ha insertado
una pila, la unidad funcionará como unos
auriculares normales. Ponga [OPR] en “OFF”.

Cómo instalar correctamente
las piezas auriculares

•

A menos que las piezas auriculares se
ajusten perfectamente, el cierre quedará
comprometido, y tal vez usted no pueda oír los
sonidos graves. Para asegurar una calidad de
sonido óptima, inserte las piezas auriculares
hasta que se ajusten perfectamente, mientras
gira ligeramente los auriculares e.

•

Las piezas auriculares instaladas en el momento
de la adquisición son del tamaño M. Si estas
piezas no son del tamaño apropiado, cámbielas
por otras del tamaño S o L (suministradas) f.

Utilización de los auriculares

Baje el volumen del equipo de audio o del
sistema de audio del avión g e introduzca
la clavija de los auriculares (3,5 mm,
estéreo) en la toma de auriculares (utilice el
adaptador de clavija a si es necesario).

La clavija de los auriculares y el adaptador de
clavija tal vez no puedan conectarse en las tomas
de los apoyabrazos de algunos aviones.

Compruebe los lados (L y R) y luego
introduzca los auriculares tipo cerrado.

• Inicie la reproducción en el equipo
de audio y ajuste su volumen; o,

• Ajuste el volumen en el sistema de
audio de a bordo.

Active la función de anulación de ruido.

de la música se cortará y, en su lugar,
usted podrá oír el sonido ambiental.

Para volver a oír la música que estaba

reproduciéndose, suelte [MONITOR].

Nota

• Si la clavija está sucia se podrá producir

ruido. Limpie la clavija con un paño blando y
seco cuando ocurra esto.

•

Las piezas para los oídos se pueden deteriorar después
de usarlas o guardarlas durante mucho tiempo.

•

Deje de utilizar los auriculares si le causan molestias.
La utilización continua puede causar sarpullidos
u otras reacciones alérgicas.
