CHANNEL LOCK UP PROBLEM

SYMPTOM: The position on the Front Information Panel (FIP) can be changed or locked

but the tuner picture is always the same when the customer changes the
channel on the VCR. Also, there is no OSD.

CAUSE: The channel data transmission between IC7706 and IC7704 (serial clock

& serial data) is corrupted (permanently keeping the signal HIGH), but
data transmission of the OSD microprocessor and system microprocessor
are correct (for FIP display). Therefore, the result being that the FIP
display works properly but the tuner data does not, resulting in an error.

REMEDY: Please add the oscillation circuit to prevent the noise effect on IC7708.
