1 User manual
1.1 General instructions
WARNING
Only use Infotainment in such a way that you have control of the vehicle
in every traffic situation (e.g. do not write text messages while driving, do
not link or connect the telephone, do not work with the contact list, do not
enter any destinations, do not connect WLAN or SmartLink etc.) Otherwise
there is a risk of an accident!
Always route the connection cable of the external device such that is
does not restrict you when driving.
Adjust the volume to ensure that acoustic signals from outside the vehicle,
e.g. the police, ambulances and fire engines, can be heard at all times.
High volumes can cause hearing damage.
Caution
In some countries, some Infotainment functions can no longer be selected
when the vehicle is running faster than a certain speed. This is not a malfunction,
but complies with the national legal regulations.
Never open the MIB3 yourself in the event of a fault!
Take the device to a Panasonic service center to ensure professional support.
■ If MIB3 becomes too hot, the device will switch off automatically.
1.2 Technical information
The product MIB3 is developed and produced by Panasonic
Automotive Systems Europe GmbH.
The product is an integrated car entertainment systems.
The MIB3 entrée series can support (depends of bought configuration) several sources like
MP3, USB (external connection box), Bluetooth®, Wifi, AM/FM radio, DAB, HD-radio,
android auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink®.
1.3 Introduction to operation
The MIB3 allows baisc controls via two control dials.
1. Left control dial to switch the unit on and
off.
2. Right control dial to browse through menues
(turning) and select options (by pressing).
The main display shows multiple buttons to ensure best customer experiences. Pages can
be switched by using the touch screen (touch gently the screen with your finger and move
finger left or right).
