Motion Detection Function & Image Transfer Mode
The Motion Detection function gives you a sure, efficient way to keep tabs on activity. When the camera detects movement, it shoots a still image, stores it temporarily in internal memory, and sends a copy to you by e-mail*5 or FTP transfer. You can set the camera to snap a shot whenever someone walks by, for example, or at preset times.
*5 When the e-mail function is used to transfer images or messages, email transmission may not be possible in some cases due to the mail server authentication system (SMTP authentication, etc.) used by your Internet service provider.
See clearly even in dim lighting.
Color Night View Mode*
The camera automatically adjusts its brightness to the light level in the area being monitored. You can see images even in places illuminated by only the small auxiliary light of a fluorescent lamp*7. This lets you keep a careful watch over shadowy objects and in dimly lit places that are ordinarily difficult to monitor.
*6 The image tends to blur more than that in standard mode when viewing a moving subject in low light or when using the pan or tilt function. When viewing a dark subject in color night view mode, spots of white or colored light may appear in the image.
*7 Minimum brightness is 1 lux.
