Software (Firmware) Update

Blu-ray Disc technology and broadcast services continue to add new features. As they evolve, firmware
updates may be required to support the latest features. Panasonic strives to continually update firmware as
new technology is released. It’s very important you install the latest updates to maintain proper operation of
your unit using one of the following methods.

How to update the software (firmware)

When this unit is connected to the Internet, the unit can automatically check for the latest software (firmware)
version and update the firmware. We recommend that you always connect this unit to the Internet.

During the software (firmware) update “DO NOT TURN OFF OR UNPLUG THE UNIT.”

• If your unit is not connected to the Internet, you can download the latest software (firmware) version from the
Panasonic support site below. After you copy the latest software (firmware) to a CD-R disc, play the disc in
the unit and it will automatically update the software (firmware).
