FCC RF Exposure Statement
The available scientific evidence does not show that any health problems are associated
with using low power wireless devices. There is no proof, however, that these low power
wireless devices are absolutely safe. Low power wireless devices emit low levels of
radio frequency energy (RF) in the microwave range while being used. Whereas high
levels of RF can produce health effects (by heating tissue), exposure to low-level RF
that does not produce heating effects causes no known adverse health effects. Many
studies of low-level RF exposures have not found any biological effects. Some studies
have suggested that some biological effects might occur, but such findings have not been
confirmed by additional research. DMC-TZ50 has been tested and found to comply with
FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled equipment and meets the FCC
radio frequency (RF) Exposure Guidelines in Supplement C to OET65. Please refer to the
SAR test report that was uploaded at FCC website. This device should not be co-located
or operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.

FCC Note:
This equipment has been tested and
found to comply with the limits for a
Class B digital device, pursuant to
Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits
are designed to provide reasonable
protection against harmful interference
in a residential installation. This
equipment generates, uses, and can
radiate radio frequency energy and, if
not installed and used in accordance
with the instructions, may cause harmful
interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that
interference will not occur in a particular
installation. If this equipment does
cause harmful interference to radio
or television reception, which can be
determined by turning the equipment off
and on, the user is encouraged to try to
correct the interference by one or more
of the following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving
antenna.
• Increase the separation between the
equipment and receiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet
on a circuit different from that to which
the receiver is connected.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced
radio/TV technician for help.

make connection slower.
• Normally, a picture size of 2M to 3M is recommended.
• Depending on connection conditions, sending ten pictures will take approximately ten
times as long. (Approx. 3-7 mins for ten 2-3M pictures)
Estimated maximum battery life (when sending pictures continuously with a fully
charged battery):
Approx. 180 min
Battery life is affected by signal reception, usage conditions, and usage environment.
Battery life may be particularly reduced when using in cold climates.

Public LAN access points may be added, but please note that successful internet
connection with this camera via non-T-Mobile services cannot be guaranteed.
When using a wireless LAN router, please use one that is compliant with either the IEEE
802.11g or the IEEE 802.11b standard.
First, register your access point, then select it from the list to connect.
For information security reasons, we strongly recommend making encryption settings on your router
when using a home wireless LAN. Fixed IP address settings cannot be made on the camera itself.
You can register up to eight access points, including the ‘tmobile’ which comes preset.
Depending on the setting of the access point used, the screen requiring no settings may

Q&A
Has the maximum number of access points been
reached? (Maximum of 8 access points, including
default ‘tmobile’)
• If you are unable to use T-Mobile HotSpot having
successfully used the service before, it is possible
that your complimentary usage period has expired.
If that is the case, you may purchase a T-Mobile
HotSpot account and make the appropriate
changes to the settings on your camera to use the
service again. Contact T-Mobile HotSpot at 877822-SPOT (7768) for details.
(Updating settings → P.38)
• Check that the access point you wish to connect to
is currently open for use.
• It may not be possible to display or connect to an
access point if the signals from that access point
are weak or otherwise inadequate.
• Depending on their settings, some access points
may not be displayed even if reception is available.
Check the access point settings.
• Try the following
- Bring the camera (particularly the antenna grip
part) closer to the access point
- Remove any obstacles between the camera and
the access point
- Point the camera in different directions
• This camera does not support channel 12 or
channel 13.

camera. For example, if after using your computer
to change the name of ‘LUMIX ALBUM1’ to ‘MY
ALBUM’, you use your camera to upload pictures or
to display pictures from your albums, it will not be
able to find a ‘LUMIX ALBUM1’ and will automatically
create a new ‘LUMIX ALBUM1’, making it impossible
to access pictures within ‘MY ALBUM’ via your
camera. (You will still be able to access pictures via
your computer.)
