本説明書では、製品を安全に正しくご使用いただき、あなたや他の人々への危害や財産への損害を未然に防止するために、
重要な内容を絵表示とともに記載しています。絵表示の意味は次のようになっています。絵表示の内容をよく理解してか
ら本文をお読みください。
■ 指定の付属品でご使用ください。
・本機を使用できるのはオリンパスデジタルカメラ専用フラッシュシステムです。他社のフラッシュには使用
しないでください。
・本機で使用できる電池はニッケル水素電池BN-1です。乾電池・他の指定外充電池を使用することはできま
せん。
・ フラッシュ接続ケーブルは付属の接続ケーブル以外は使用しないでください。
・本機で使用できるACアダプターは付属のACアダプターAC-2です。他のACアダプターは使用できません。
電源コードは付属のコード以外は使用できません。
■ 本機を直流電源等フラッシュ電源以外の用途に使用しないでください。
■ ACアダプターを他の製品に流用しないでください。
■ 水・雨水・海水・ペットの尿等でぬらさないでください。ぬれた状態・ぬれた手では使用しないでください。
風呂場等の湿気の多い場所では使用しないでください。
■ 内部や接点部に針金等の金属物を差し込まないでください。
■ ハンダ付けしたり、修理・変形・改造・分解をしないでください。
■ 損傷・液漏れ等の異常のある電池や水にぬれている電池を使用しないでください。
■ 直射日光下や車のダッシュボードやストーブのそば等高温になる場所や火気の近くで使用・保管をしないで
ください。
■ 布団で覆う等、熱がこもるような状態で使用をしないでください。
■ 可燃性ガスの雰囲気の中で使用しないでください。引火による爆発・火災の原因となります。
■ 電池の＋−端子を金属等でショートさせないでください。持ち運び・保管の際には付属の保護キャップで電
池の端子部分を覆ってください。保護キャップを付けない状態でバッグ等に入れて持ち運び・保管すると危
険です。
■ 電池を火中に投下したり、火に近づけたりしないでください。
■ ACアダプターの電源プラグをコンセントから抜くときは、コード部分を引っ張らず必ずプラグ部分を持って
抜いてください。また、コードを無理に曲げたり引っ張ったり、重い物をのせたりしないでください。電源
コードが破損し、発火・発熱・感電の原因となります。
■ 接続ケーブル、電源コード等は引っ張らずに必ずプラグ部を持って抜いてください。コードが破損し発火・
発熱・破裂・漏液・感電の恐れがあります。
■ 本機で充電池BN-1を充電する場合はACアダプターを指定の電源電圧でご使用ください。日本国内では家庭用
コンセントAC100Vに接続してご使用ください。
■ 熱機器に近づけて使用しないでください。外装が変形したり、被覆が溶けて発火・発熱・破裂・漏液・感電
の恐れがあります。
■ ACアダプター電源コードのプラグは確実に根元までコンセントに差し込んでください。中途半端に差し込ん
だ状態では使用しないでください。
■ 充電中の本体や電池に長時間触れないでください。低温やけどの原因となります。
■ 本体・電源コード・電池が落下等によって破損している状態では使用しないでください。内部が露出したと
きは、露出部に手を触れないでください。感電・けがの原因となります。電源プラグを抜いて、使用しない
でください。修理は販売店またはオリンパス岡谷修理センターに依頼してください。
■ 発熱・発煙・異臭・漏液・変色・変形その他の異常を見つけたときは、ただちに電源プラグを抜いて使用し
ないでください。そのままご使用になりますと、火災・発火・発熱・破裂の原因となります。修理は販売店
またはオリンパス岡谷修理センターに依頼してください。
■ 電池に強い衝撃を与えたり、投げつけたり、傷をつけないでください。火災・発火・発熱・破裂・漏液の原
因となります。
■ 電池は電子レンジや高圧容器に入れないでください。電池の漏液・発火・発熱・破裂の原因となります。
■ 電池は乳幼児の手の届かない場所で使用・保管してください。お子様が使用する際には、保護者が適切な使
用方法を充分説明をして使用中も注意してください。怠ると感電・けが・誤飲の原因になります。
■ 電池が漏液したり、異臭がするときはただちに火気より遠ざけてください。漏液した電解液に引火し、発煙・
発火・破裂の原因となります。
■ 電池の液が皮膚・衣類へ付着したときは、ただちに水道水等のきれいな水で洗い流してください。医師に相
談してください。皮膚傷害をおこす原因になります。
■ 所定の充電時間を超えても充電が完了しない場合は、充電を中止してください。火災・発火・発熱・破裂の
原因となります。
■ 電池をリサイクルまたは廃棄するときは付属の保護キャップを付けてテープで止めるか、全ての端子部をセ
ロテープ等で貼り、絶縁してください。ショートすると発火・発熱・破裂の原因となります。リサイクルす
る場合はお近くのリサイクル協力店へお持ちください。廃棄する場合はお住まいの自治体の規則に従い正し
く廃棄してください。
■ 所定の充電時間を超えても充電が完了しない場合は充電を中止してください。発火・発熱・破裂・漏液の原
因となります。
■ 本体に電池を取り付けた状態で強く振ったりしないでください。電池が飛び出すと危険です。
■ 本体・電源コードの上に重いものをのせたりしないでください。また、テレビの上等落下しやすい場所で使
用・保管しないでください。破損・けがの原因になります。
■ ほこり・湿気の多い場所で保管・使用しないでください。電源プラグはほこりを取り除いてからコンセント
に差し込んでください。
■ ハイボルテージパックHV-1を長時間使用した後は、電池が熱くなっていますので、すぐに取り出さないでく
ださい。やけどの原因となります。
■ ぐらついた台の上や、傾いたところ等、不安定な場所に置かないでください。落下して、故障やけが等の原
因になります。
■極端に寒いところや暑いところでの充電はやめてください。充分に充電するためには、周囲温度が10℃〜30℃
が最適です。電池性能低下の原因になります。
■ 電源プラグをコンセントから抜くときは、コード部分を引っ張らず必ずプラグ部分を持って抜いてください。
また、コードを無理に曲げたり引っ張ったり、重い物をのせたりしないでください。電源コードが破損し、
発火・発熱・感電の原因となります。
■ 充電するとき以外は、電源プラグをコンセントから抜いておいてください。

● 電池は未使用時も自己放電します。お買い上げの電池は必ず充電してからご使用ください。また、長時間ご使用になら
なかった電池も必ず再充電してからご使用ください。
● 新たに購入した電池、長期（約1ヵ月以上）使用しなかった電池は、充電が完全にされない場合がありますが、これは電池の

● ご使用前に電池の端子が汚れていないことを確認してください。汚れていると接触不良により充電が正常にできなかっ
たり、使用時間が短くなる原因になります。

● 汚れは乾いた柔らかい布で拭いてください。ぬれた雑巾等で拭くと故障の原因になります。また、アルコール・シン
ナー・ベンジン・洗剤等で拭いたりしないでください。

● 電池は、−10℃〜60℃でご使用ください。
● 動作保証温度範囲内でも、低温になるほど使用時間が短くなります。予備の充電した電池をポケット等に入れて暖めて
おくことをお勧めします。ポケットにはショート防止のため、必ず付属の保護キャップをしっかり付けて、かつ電池以
外のものは入れないでください。

● 保管の際、電池をハイボルテージパックHV-1に取り付けたままにしておくと、電源OFF状態でも少量の電流が流れ続
け電池の性能劣化の原因となります。ご使用にならないときは電池に付属の保護キャップをつけて湿気の少ない15℃〜
25℃くらいの涼しい場所で保管してください。
● 持ち運び・保管の際は＋−電極端子がショートしないように必ず付属の保護キャップをしっかり付けてください。バッ
グや引き出し等にアクセサリ等金属類と一緒に入れて保管したり持ち運んだりするのはおやめください。発火・発熱・
破裂・漏液の原因になり危険です。

● 電池は充放電を繰り返すことにより性能が徐々に劣化します。使用時間が著しく短くなったら交換時期です。使用条件
にもよりますが、約500回の充放電で電池容量が半減します。

● 充電時の周囲の温度は10℃〜30℃の範囲が適切です。
● フラッシュの使用直後等、電池の温度が高い場合があります。この状態では充電が不完全になることがありますので電
池温度が下がってから充電してください。
● 充電の最中に充電器や電池が暖かくなりますが、異常ではありません。
● 充電の最中にテレビ・ラジオにノイズがのることがありますが故障ではありません。そのような場合にはテレビ・ラジ

つきましては、あらかじめ旅行代理店等にお尋ねください。電子式変圧器（トラベルコンバーター）は故障の原因になり
ますのでご使用なさらないでください。
充電式電池に用いられる希少な資源を有効に活用するためにリサイクルにご協力ください。電池は
「充電式電池リサイクル協力店くらぶ」加入の電気店またはスーパー等に設置のリサイクルボックスで
回収しています。詳しくは社団法人電池工業会ホームページhttp://www.baj.or.jp/recycle/をご覧くだ
さい。
なおご不要の電池は必ず付属の保護キャップを付けて全ての＋極と−極をセロテープ等で絶縁してか
らリサイクルボックスに入れてください。

1. ニッケル水素電池BN-1の保護キャップを外します。

2.HV-1本体の電源スイッチをOFFにします。
：ONの状態で取り付けると、インジケーターランプが赤
く点滅し、作動しません。
3.ニッケル水素電池BN-1をHV-1本体に装着します。
HV-1本体下部にあるツメとニッケル水素電池BN-1下部に
ある溝をあわせて、ニッケル水素電池BN-1の上側をHV-1
本体の取り外しレバーに、カチッと音がし、確実に取り付
いていることを確認します。
4.取り外す時は、必ず電源をOFFにしてから取り外しレバー
を上げます。

■ Never put the battery in a microwave oven or high-pressure container. This could cause a fire, leakage, overheating, or an explosion.
■ Always keep the battery out of reach of children. Children should only be permitted to use the battery under
strict adult supervision. If children are not supervised,. There is a risk of electric shock, injury or swallowing.
■ If the battery leaks or emits a burning odor, keep it away from heat sources. Leaked fluid may catch fire,
causing the battery to smoke, burn, or explode.
■ If the fluid from inside the battery sticks to your skin or clothes, it may cause injury. Wash it off immediately with
clean water and see a doctor.
■ If charging does not complete in the specified charge time, stop charging to prevent fire, overheating or explosion.
■ When recycling or disposing of the battery, insulate all terminals by covering them with plastic tape. Otherwise,
the batteries could be short-circuited and cause a fire, overheating or explosion.
To recycle a battery, take it to the nearest dealer participating in the recycling activities. For disposal, follow the
regulations set by your local government.

between 10°C and 30°C (50°F and 86°F) is recommended. Using the battery in low temperatures may result
in a decrease in battery performance.

Battery Handling Precautions
At time of purchase:
● The battery discharges even when it is not used. After purchasing the battery, be sure to charge it before use. Also,
whenever the battery has not been used for a long period, recharge it before use.
● New batteries or batteries that have not been used for a long time (more than one month) may not be fully charged. This
is not a malfunction, but is a characteristic of the battery. Charge them two or three times before using them for the
first time or when they have not been used for a long period.
● Check that the battery terminals are clean before use. If they are dirty, contact failure may cause problems with charging
or shorten the battery’s operation time after charging.

Care:

● Use this battery pack within a temperature range of –10°C and +60°C (14°F and 140°F).
● Even within the specified operating temperature range, battery operation time decreases as the temperature drops.
When the temperature is low, it is recommended to carry a spare charged battery and keep it warm in a pocket, bag, etc.
When carrying a battery in your pocket, be sure to cap the battery to prevent short-circuiting. Do not put anything else in
the pocket with the battery.
Checking the package contents
Before using this product for the first time, check that all of the provided items are present in the
package.
If any item is missing or damaged, please contact your dealer.
Precautions for transport and storage:
● Do not leave the battery in the HV-1 High Voltage Pack. Even when the power switch is set to off, a small amount of
current continues to flow and may lead to a decrease in battery performance. When not using the battery, attach the
provided cap and store it in a cool, dry place with a temperature between 15°C and 25°C (39°F and 77°F).
● When transporting or storing the battery, attach the provided cap to prevent short-circuiting of the +/– terminals. Do not
put any metallic objects including personal ornaments in a bag or drawer with the battery. This could cause a fire,
overheating, explosion or leakage.
Service life of rechargeable battery pack:
● The performance of the battery degrades gradually after repeated charge and discharge. When the operation time
reduces considerably, this may be the sign of replacement timing. The battery capacity is usually halved after about 500
cycles of charging and discharging, though this value is variable depending on the operating conditions.
Recycling the battery:
● Please recycle BN-1 batteries to help save our planet’s resources. When you throw away dead batteries, be sure to
cover their + and – terminals and always observe local laws and regulations.

Battery Charging Precautions
Before use:
● Be sure to read the safety precautions thoroughly before use. Follow all instructions carefully.
Operating precautions:
● The optimum ambient temperature for charging is between 10°C and 30°C (50°F and 86°F).
● The battery may get hot, for example immediately after the flash is used. The battery may not fully recharge if it is hot, so
wait until the battery cools down before recharging it.
● The battery charger and battery get hot during charging. This is not a malfunction.
● Interference with TV or radio reception may occur during charging. This is not a malfunction. To avoid this, move the
charger further away from the device being interfered with.
● Even within the specified operating temperature range, battery operation time decreases as the temperature drops.
When the temperature is low, it is recommended to carry a spare charged battery and keep it warm in a pocket, bag, etc.
