The new GS 35 C (EURO 1) and GS 350 C(EURO 2) chain saws are powerful 38.9 cc chain saws capable of developing

2.0 HP / 1.5 kW. Targeted at the entry-level user, they incorporate special technical solutions which enhance their
quality, cutting performance and compliance with anti-pollution legislation.
The result of in-depth research aimed at understanding the real needs of the target user, these machines deliver
high-tech solutions, outstanding cutting performance and simple operation at an aordable price.
User-friendly control is assured by numerous details, including - icons on the engine cover showing the ope­rations to perform for quick and safe starting - primer device positioned in full view near to the starting handle

- ON-OFF switch, choke and half-throttle control incorporated into a single multifunction lever, for practical and
simple operation - transparent oil and mix reservoir for immediate display of the level - chain brake lever with
2 xing points.
The new engines underline the technological credentials of the machine and are designed to reduce emissions
of noise and unburned hydrocarbons (HC+NOx). They ensure low running costs and respect for the environment,
particularly in the GS 350 C (EURO 2) version with catalytic muer.

PERFORMANCE AND ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS

• 38.9 HP 2-stroke engine available in the Euro 1 version (GS 35 C)
and the Euro 2 version with catalytic muer (GS 350 C).

• Nickel-plated cylinder, aluminium breech, crankshaft in 3 sec-

tions, forged and machined steel connecting rod and shaft, big

end roller cage, small end roller bearing (Fig. 1).

• Double generously sized sponge + cloth air lter: ensures high
eciency ltration and simple maintenance (Fig. 2).

• Fuel tank capacity of 0.35 litres: together with the low specic
fuel consumption of the engine, allows for longer running time.

• Carburettor bracket with 4 anti-vibration mounts: guarantees
stable fuel burn under all operating conditions, and longer life
of carburettor (Fig. 3).

• Primer device: fuel mixture is actively drawn into the carburet­tor to facilitate starting from cold, after refuelling and following
long idle periods.

• Muer with catalytic converter in the Euro 2 version (GS 350 C)
guarantees adherence to emission limits imposed by the latest
European anti-pollution standards (Fig. 4).

EASE OF USE

• The illustrated step-by-step start-up instructions ensure quick
and safe starting, even for less expert users (Fig. 5).

• Primer device positioned in full view on the engine cover: facili-
tates starting from cold, after refuelling or following lengthy idle
periods (Fig. 6a).

• On-O switch and choke incorporated in a single multi-func-

tion lever: extremely practical and simple to use (Fig. 6b).

• “ICE DEVICE” system enables the machine to operate without
diculty even at low temperatures (below 0°C): prevents ice
build-up by diverting the ow of hot air from the cylinder to the
air lter (Fig. 7a).

• Automatic oil pump with constant delivery. Easy to replace,
simply remove the drive housing and clutch.

• Transparent tanks: for immediate display of the oil and fuel (Fig.

8).

COMFORT

• Anti-vibration system using 3 spring dampers and 3 rub­ber stops: signicantly isolates the operator from engine vibra­tion, for greater comfort during use (Fig. 9).

• New starter handle design: for more comfortable starting
of the machine (Fig. 10).

• Large, ergonomically-shaped inertia brake lever with

double xing point on the crankcase: designed to guarantee

smooth starting in any condition and operating position (Fig.

11).

• Sound-insulated muer: signicantly reduces noise emis­sions (Fig. 12).

EASE OF MAINTENANCE

• Filter cover built into engine cover: allows inspection and
maintenance by removing the 3 xing screws. (Fig. 13).

• Clutch”ON BOARD”, assembly secured to shaft using circlip: re-
duces the risk of blockage and simplies routine maintenance
operations (Fig. 14).

• Easily replaceable automatic oil pump: simply remove the clu­tch (Fig. 15). Zero oil ow with the engine at idling speed ensures
lower consumption and reduced impact on the environment.

• Double generously sized sponge + cloth air lter: sim­ple and quick to clean, more hours of running time between
maintenance stops (Fig. 16)
