NSM-2

MECHANICAL PARTS

NSM-2 phones are produced in two areas: in Europe and in Asia. Due to
different suppliers for components in Europe and Asia, there can be some
minor, but visible differences (e.g. colour, mechanical dimensions) in design
parts. Because of this it is important to check that after changing mechanical
design parts, the result reaches Nokia quality level. To reach the level, it will
be necessary to change completely, right design parts (see the table below).

The manufacturing place is possible to be detected from IMEI. If the code is
shown as xxxxxx/10/xxxxxx/x (x means a digit), the phone has been
produced in Europe and European design parts have to be used. In other
case Asian design parts are used.
