LIGHTS ON DEMAND
The LIGHTS ON DEMAND switch allows
the driver to select one of three lighting modes
for the interior lights and puddle lamps
(if so equipped): on, door, off.
Push the top portion of the switch
and the interior lights and puddle
lamps will illuminate; they will turn off
automatically after 30 minutes, to prevent
the battery from becoming discharged.
If the LIGHTS ON DEMAND switch is in the neutral position, the lights will
stay on for about 30 seconds when:
■ The doors are unlocked by the keyfob, a key, or the power door lock switch
while all doors are closed and the ignition switch is in the OFF position.
■ The driver’s door is opened and then closed while the key is removed from the
ignition switch.
■ The key is removed from the ignition switch while all doors are closed.
The interior lights and puddle lamps (if so equipped) will turn off while the
30-second timer is activated when:
■ The driver’s door is locked by the keyfob, a key, or the power door lock switch.
■ The ignition switch is turned on.
The lights will turn off automatically after 30 minutes while the doors are
open to prevent the battery from becoming discharged.
Push the bottom portion of the switch and the interior lights and puddle lamps (if
so equipped) will be turned off.
■ The lights can be turned off so sleeping passengers are not disturbed when the
doors are opened.
■ The lights on the front doors will turn on when the front doors are opened.

AUDIO CONTROL (if so equipped)
■ To turn steering wheel audio system on,
push POWER.
■ To choose preset radio stations A, B
or C, CD, DVD (if equipped), press
MODE repeatedly.

switch can be used to perform
the following:
• Push the switch for less than 1.5 seconds to change to the preset station.
• Push the
broadcasting radio station.
• Push the

switch for more than 1.5 seconds to seek to the next

switch while playing a CD for less than 1.5 seconds to change
programs on the CD.
• If the vehicle is equipped with a 6 Disc CD changer, press the
more than 1.5 seconds to change between CDs.
■ Push the VOL control switch up or down to increase or decrease volume.

To scan quickly through each broadcasting station, press the SEEK/TRACK button.
The tuner will pause for 5 seconds on each broadcasting station. To skip from one
track to another on a CD, press the SEEK/TRACK button. Each time the button is
pressed, the CD will advance or skip back one track.
TUNE/REW/FF BUTTON

To fast forward or rewind a track, press the REW/FF button. The disc will play at
an altered speed until the button is released. To manually tune the radio, press the
TUNE button.
PROG/RPT BUTTON

To change the play pattern of the CD, press the PROG/RPT button. To activate the
Radio Data System (RDS), press the PROG/RPT button. RDS provides information
about radio stations (type, call numbers, etc.)
PRESET A· B · C BUTTON

Press the PRESET A·B·C button to change between preset storage banks. The radio
displays the icon A, B, or C to indicate which preset bank is active. Each memory bank
can hold any combination of AM, FM, and SAT* presets.
CD PLAY BUTTON

To begin play, press the CD button.
REAR AV BUTTON

To turn the rear audio controls on, press the R EAR AV button. Press again to turn rear
controller off. To turn on the DVD mode (if so equipped), press and hold the REAR AV
button for 2 seconds.
SPEAKER CONTROL BUTTON

To activate the rear headphones and turn off the rear speakers, press the SPEAKER
CONTROL button. To deactivate the rear headphones, press the button again.
TUNING AND AUDIO CONTROL KNOB

To manually tune the radio, turn the TUNE knob. Adjust the bass, treble, fade, balance,
and Speed Sensitive Volume (SSV) by pressing the AUDIO knob until the desired
mode appears in the display. Then turn the TUNE knob to adjust to the desired level.
STATION AND CD SELECT BUTTONS

To store a station in a preset you must first select A, B, or C memory bank by pressing
the PRESET A·B·C button and tune to the desired AM, FM or SAT* station. Then press
the desired station select button for at least 2 seconds. When the preset indicator
illuminates, a beep will sound, indicating memorization is complete. To retrieve a
previously set station, select the memory bank where the preset was set, then press
the corresponding station select button.
* SAT presets are only available on SAT equipped vehicles.
