The water reser voir lid is removable for
easy cleanin g and is dishwasher safe .
1. Add milk to your cup
until it is about
1
⁄3 full.
2. Hold the cup unde r the
frother and sub merge
the whisk just be low the
surface of the mi lk. Froth
for 30–45 sec onds.
3. Remove the frothe r whisk by
twisting clock wise. Keep your
cup below the whis k while
you carry it to your si nk or
dishwasher for e asy cleaning.

Simply close the d rip stop to pause the caraf e
brew cycle, and th en pour your first cup.
Reopen the dri p stop to continue the brew.

Plug in your brewer, the n press the power
button. The PR E-HEATING light will
illuminate for 3 mi nutes.

BEFORE YOUR
FIRST BREW
Before first use, run two Full Caraf e
Clean cycles. With your water reservoir
filled to the max line with fresh water,
your brewer plugged in, and the c arafe
in place, press the CLEAN b utton to
start a cycle.
(Discard th e brewed water after e ach cleaning cycle .)
CAUTION: DO NO T reach across top of br ewer to froth durin g brewing. Steam i s released from ven t on top of
brewer and can re sult in a steam bur n.

PRE -HE ATING
Pre-heating ensures
your first cup wil l
be as hot as it
possibly can b e.
(But if you don’t
have time to wait,
you can still brew
before pre-he at is
fully activated.)
For hot froth, microwave for
45–60 secon ds.
For cold froth, skip to Ste p 2.

The hot surfa ce indicator light will i lluminate when the wa rming plate surfac e is
hot. The light w ill remain illumin ated until it has return ed to a safe temperatur e.
WANT YOUR COFFEE HOT L ONGER?
You can program the In telligent Warming Plate
to run from 0 to 4 hours . To set the time, simply
press and hold th e Stay Warm button for 5
seconds. Wh en the clock begins to flas h, use the
Hour and Minu te buttons to set your desire d time.
When the clock s tops flashing, your time i s set.

To use a paper filter, first rem ove the
permanent fi lter, then fold a #4 paper cone
filter along the se ams and insert firm ly into
the removable filte r carrier.
